    Happy Halloween:T:T:T

Too many treats around for my liking and Im being sorely tempted. The Witch (how appropriate) is beginning to hover too so that is not helping matters:(

Anyway I will keep plodding and thank you (Sparrer especially) for all your ongoing support x

    Afternoon All,

I didn't get chance to post over the weekend as I was very busy. I had DGD most of the weekend - including an overnight stay. She is as good as gold but I still seemed very busy. I suppose DS and DDIL coming for Sunday breakfast (to see DGD) and Sunday dinner added to the busyness - and also to the calories!

Today I've been back to routine and very good, however, if a bit heavy on the toast front.

B: Slice of toast with blackcurrant jam
L: Poached egg on toast followed by raspberries with Greek yoghurt.
T: Mug of tomato soup. Piece of toast with smoked mackerel pate and cherry tomatoes. Apple

Exercise: 7 mile walk this morning and another 3/4 mile round town this afternoon.

    Hi All,

Can I join you? I am not new to MSE and post most days on the daily but I am new to the weight loss thread.
I have struggled just recently but just joined SW and very impressed with it, fingers crossed it will work for me.
My weigh in day is Monday so will post my first loss next week, but plan to post my meal plan each day.
Just off to read through everything so I know what I am doing and then will start tomorrow.

Ditto and Ditto... only managed 70 lengths last night as I was just not that motivated (actually it's amazing I made it to the pool at all, the mood I was in, Witch is a good name for it!) hopefully I did burn off ALL the biscuits though... have forbidden the kids from sharing their Halloween haul with me too!

Welcome to weight loss Old Style, feel free to join us if Old Style is the way you want to go. There is a slimming world support thread on the health board if you are following that plan you may find that more useful as this thread is about Old Style weight loss, not slimming clubs (as you'll see from the info on the first page). But do stick around and see how we do things - mostly our own way! - you may find you like Old Style weight loss better ;)

Michbright Welcome to the thread, do you want to join the Christmas Challenge? (It's not compulsory, but I'll explain how it works in case you do). Declare a target weight for 23rd Dec (final WI), I think that's just under 9 weeks away, then every Friday I update the list with everyone's loss for the week (most people are WI Friday, but yuo don't have to). If you can post your loss in red bold it really helps me notice them.

    Morning all :)
went to the gym last night, did my cardio program for the first time and it was a killer. Very tired today!

    Breakfast: greek yoghurt corner
Lunch: square wrap, homous, rocket, 1 peri peri mini chicken fillet, apple, satsumas
    Dinner: chicken fajitas

Exercise: either step or gym for arms resistance program, depending on DH as car still in the garage :(

I weighed in again this morning, and scales are still showing a big loss, so hopeful for a good declaration on Friday after last weeks disappointment  Will attempt to stay off them until then though (unlikely :o)

Have a good day all :D

  • Good afternnon all,

Lovely to see so many newbies around so welcome :T

    Right, food yesterday:

B-1 slice toast and coffee, satsuma
    s - banana
L - diwali party at work (2 x samosas, some paneer and bits :o)
    s - satsuma
D - was stuffed after diwali party so had coffee, 2 finger kitkat and air popped popcorn (wierd combination i know)

    Today's food:
    B - 2 sml slices toast, coffee
    s - banana
L - small veg sushi box, mug of soup and a 4 finger kitkat
    s - 1 small cupcake
    D - 2 x quorn burgers, mash and peas

Hoping to do some exercise today. I have decided that the only way to fit exercise in my day and actually do it (:D) is in the mornings before work. I used to go to the gym before work and although not OS to pay for the gym, its the only way i do do it and stick to it! I've looked online and found a reasonable 3 month membership for a local club so will research a bit more tonight with the aim of starting on monday 7th. :A

Big welcome to the newbies :)

B - whole red grapefruit. it was quite small so peeled it like an orange
    L - mushroom omelette
D - jacket with ff yogurt & rf cheese
Snacks - grapes, satsumas, melon, pear, bag of cheese snackajacks

Exercise - cleaned the car inside and out, my halo is also gleaming ;). 10 mins step. The bottom stair is still creaking, must reach my challenge goal before it collapses!

Enjoy the rest of the day :)

Financially gaga we've recently joined the local council gym, as I knew that it was the only way I'd manage to do enough exercise without worrying about the cost. When I was just paying for classes/swimming as I went I kept running out of cash at the end of the month :o
Again it's for a 3 month contract, and only 1 months notice after that, so we're not tied in for too long. Hopefully by the time our 3 months are up we'll be in the habit and not want to cancel. :)
