    Morning ladies (and gents?)

B - hm toast with greek yogurt & marmalade
L - prawn cocktail, 'marie rose' sauce was waaaaay to vinegary so ate some of the prawns a little of the green stuff and none of the bread! Main was gammon, egg, chips and peas. I left all the peas and half of the chips (tiny portion so ate prob 10/12 chips). Then he brought the pud menu and it was all downhill from there - 3 profiteroles, lots of thick cream and warm chocolate sauce :o. It was a 3 course menu for £8.95 and they only had stodgy or creamy puds...of course I could have refused but profiteroles are really my favourite :o. Tomorrow I exercise, exercise, exercise!
Supper - crispbread with Vegemite, slice of melon
Exercise - 1 hour pulm exercise class this morning

Beautifully mild here, will see if I can resist my siesta and fit in some tudying in the garden this pm.

    Happy Monday :)
  • Hi all.

Ooops, shouldn't have tested all those bat and pumpkin biscuits! (though i did spend nearly 3 hours in the kitchen this morning!) Lucky it's a swim night tonight. Rather annoyed my new swimsuit arrived and it's too small (length wise, I have a long body!) so I'll have to go for a 14 :(

Caterina Well done on losing the lb. For future reference please can you leave the list updating to me as I try very hard to keep track of everyone's updates and post the list only once a week, it will get very confusing for me if everyone starts randomly updating it themselves.
It works like this... The christmas challenge list gets updated and reposted every Friday, when 'most' people weigh in. If you don't WI on Friday that's fine, just make sure you list your loss in red bold so I can spot it and then I will update either the last list or leave it to the next one, depending on where we are in the week, and I will make a note that I have included the update so I know not to put a loss in twice.
I copy my post from the previous Friday, update it, and repost it so if everyone starts changing it themselves we will end up with people's losses getting missed. Sorry to be anal about it but I don't have a lot of spare time to spend on here so if my system gets messed up I'll have to stop doing it all together.
I have updated the list with your loss so if you could remove it from your post to keep the thread tidy, that'd be great.

    Financially_Gaga another one with a glitch ;) it'll go...
June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

  • Hi all!

I'm not new to the MSE forums, but I am new to the weightloss forum as I'm in real need of a kick to start me off, so please can I join you?

After I had my first child in 2003, I struggled to get rid of my excess pregnancy pounds, so I joined WW online in 2005 and managed lose about 2st in 6 months, which I kept off until I fell pregnant with my 3rd child (I even managed to regain my shape after having a 2nd child). Since then, I've struggled to get back to my 2005 shape and am in desperate need of inspiration. I tried WW again, but just don't have the energy to do it properly and I've also tried SW as a friend of mine has lots LOADS over the last 7 years, but it's just not for me (not to mention quite pricey).

Anyway, I'm hoping that by joining an online community, I can find the support I need to shift those stubborn extra pounds. I work in metric, so please excuse me if I sometimes post in kg. My initial goal is to lose 6kg (13lb). My ultimate goal is to lose 10kg (about 1.5 st).

Hopefully I can do it this time!

I'm starting to suspect that my scales are dodgy :o I weighed myself this morning, and I've apparently lost nearly 3lb since Friday *puzzled*. Tried moving them around, and reweighed several times, but it stayed on the same weight. Will see how much I weigh at the end of the week, before believing it! Might try putting a new battery in them.... (and might try to stop weighing every 2-3 days, not a good habit I know)

  • Hello everyone :). Well done those who have recently lost :T.

I did so well last week, then scuperred myself at the weekend. I gave in to the pressures and pit falls of social eating. So my weight went down... then up by today. Would rather call it 'stayed the same' as not up a whole pound.

I have planned the weeks meals and exercises. I will weigh in again on Friday, and then that will be my weigh-day for a while, to make it easier for you ragz.

Weight-loss is hard at times. The old me would have given up at this difficult stage, but I must resist the temptation to go back to old bad habits!

Have a positive week everyone, you can do it! :)
Healthy eating aim per day: 3 fruits, 3 or more vegetables, 3 low-fat dairy portions, 3 starch portions, 2-3 lean protein portions.
Weekly aim: to include 2 portions of fish (one oily), some nuts, seeds, beans and pulses.
