Afternoon all.
I'm really sorry but I'm going to have to bow out a few days earlier than intended. I'm feeling a bit low at the moment, due to a combination of the time of year and problems at work, and I'm finding that I just can't face trying to lose weight as well.
I'll keep an eye on this thread to see how everyone's getting on, and I might come back if I start struggling to keep the weight off (although I obviously hope that doesn't happen). Otherwise, I'll be back full time in the spring.
Good luck, everyone - I hope your will-power proves stronger than mine!Back after a very long break!0 -
Hugs to you ccp.
Have been writing everything down in my diary that i have been eating. Do i put it on here too or just weigh in once a week and put the results (if i have any to report!) on here?
Exercise has just been housework and taking the dog for a walk.

Forever Saving - welcome to the thread, I'll add you to the Christmas Challenge. There's no rules, if you think it would help you to post your food for the day then feel free, some people find it helps keep them on track by being a bit accountable. Weigh in for the Challenge is Friday for most people just because the challenge ends on a Friday (December 23rd) but feel free to weigh another day. You may want to do your first WI next week rather than this Friday, to give you a chance to have a loss to report.June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

.
Healthy eating aim per day: 3 fruits, 3 or more vegetables, 3 low-fat dairy portions, 3 starch portions, 2-3 lean protein portions.
Weekly aim: to include 2 portions of fish (one oily), some nuts, seeds, beans and pulses.0 -
Sorry to see you go CCP - please keep popping in and say hello. I do know what you mean about winter. I seem to go downhill in January and it takes me a few months to recover.
I went shopping for some new clothes today and also treated myself to a new pair of boots. Im very happy with my purchases and pleased with the way my clothes fit and also my boots as they were not tight on the calves (I have cankles really). It has been a mixed week so not sure what to expect when I weigh in plus it is that time again:eek::eek::eek:I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
Evening All,
Sorry to see you go CCP. I sometimes feel a bit of a fraud posting as I have only managed to lose 1lb since I started posting but I think it is helping keep my weight stable anyway even if I am not losing as such.
I had DGD here from 11 till 4 today so have been kept quite busy. She is such a delight and beginning to put 2 words together now.
B: Milky coffee
L: HM chicken risotto - the bits I pulled off Sundays chicken after using the carcass for stock, along with garlic, mushrooms, onions, red pepper, butternut squash and green beans all cooked with rice in chicken stock. I stirred some creme fraiche into mine and DGD's portion but DH had his as it was. Half a HM scone with butter.
T: Fried egg sandwich (I had a sudden craving for one). Half a bar of dark chocolate.
Exercise: I managed all 7 circuits on my Burn Fat, Boost Metabolism DVD today so 50 minutes in total. I also had a walk with DGD and then a longer walk to post a letter and came the long way home so a couple of miles in all.

Pokes head around door...
Ok, bit of a complex one, as I have put on 1.5+ stone due to medication (have now been off it for 4 months ish, but weight not shifting). Complex as I could have got away with gaining 0.5 stone of that, just not the additional stone. And I can only get into and look good in 25% of my wardrobe
I don't own scales and I don't really *do* weighing myself, so would prefer to go by how my clothes feel, in particular my Rock and Republic jeans (bought by MIL) that currently don't fit :doublesob: My goal is to eat a little healthier and move around more...sounds easy!! I think it would take losing about 12lb to get back into R&R jeans and breathe in them, so shall go with that.
Today's eats
Breccie: 2 x poached egg yolks (don't like the whites) with 2 small pieces of wholegrain bread and scraping of butter on each
Lunch : Piece of millionaires shortbread
Afternoon : Bowl of homemade veg soup
Dinner : Quorn breast fillet with leftover mashed potato, green beans and carrots
Snack : half packet of hoola hoops (pinched from OH)
Drinks: earl grey tea and hot sugar free vimto
(Snacks are bad and today not typical for me as I am off work..) I know roughly going wrong as I have studied a fair amount of nutrition, I just need a bit of a wake up call and a bit of support, please
Exercise: 12,000 steps walking, including mucking out and stable duties for 3 horses. I have dug out my pedometer and want to monitor how many steps I am doing (used to average 16, 000, with horse stuff and dog walking - we shall see)
Nice to meet you all and good to see some familiar "faces"0 -
Hello Millie2008,
good luck getting back into jeans! It's worth it, I just found I can get into a favourite skirt and it feels great!
CCP, hope you will enjoy a little break and hope to see you again in Spring
Last week I lost 3lb but haven't posted since.
Yesterday I persuaded my very reluctant son to walk a bit further along the beach so I did get 12,000 steps in the end. Luckily he found a great place for collecting shells so I maybe able to persuade him to go again!
I have tried the Wii Zumba which is fun and even my boys joined in. I found a local class but she has decided to stop it but there are plenty more to try, just very handy as 2 ins round the corner!
I weigh again today, only 2lb until I have lost 2 stone. I have been wondering if I can be target weight for my sisters wedding on March 3rd but I think I should be nearly there if not completely...makes buying an outfit slightly challenging! Have a good day everyone!0 -
