    Afternoon All,

It's a horrible grey rainy day today - such a contrast to last Saturday! DH and I went out for lunch (again!) as we'd been recommended a pub where you get 2 courses and a tea or coffee for a fiver. We had a really nice meal but I don't think I ought to eat again as the portions were very generous. I'm off to work shortly until after 10 so will just take a banana to keep me going.

I had another trawl of the charity shops as I'm trying to build up a winter wardrobe in my new size. I got a grey/black jumper dress to wear with thick tights and boots and a grey fluffy angora type cardigan, plus a pale pink scarf and matching gloves that were still in their packaging. I now need to find a really nice pair of flattish knee high boots to wear for work as the pair I've got (which look lovely with the new outfit) are too high for working in.

B: Blackcurrant and apple LF yoghurt. Banana.
L: Steak, chips, onion rings, peas and salad garnish. Lemon Russe Gateau with ice cream.
S: Very small piece of HM flapjack with my coffee just before I go to work.
    T: Banana.

Exercise: I must get back into routine as I didn't do my DVD again this morning. I had a quick walk to the library this morning and then a walk around the town we visited earlier so with walking to work I should have managed about 2 to 2 1/2 miles.

I was just thinking the exact same thing - last Saturday I sat outside until late cooking a BBQ, which holds no appeal at all this weekend. :(

My day today isn't the epitome of healthy eating, but it's been another stressful day so I hope I can be excused. :o I've had:

B - thin slice HM brown bread with a heaped tsp of peanut butter; banana
L - cheese sarnie with a only small amount of cheese but with a thin spreading of mayo :o; apple
D - chicken kiev with spicy beans and veg (I meant to have this last night but the kiev was still a solid lump of ice when I got home from work  - so I swapped and had lasagne instead); a couple of glasses of wine (naughty, I know, but the bottle smiled at me so nicely while I was queuing at the supermarket that I couldn't resist it :o)

Exercise - I'm not sure if driving to Southampton counts - I don't like city driving, particularly when I don't know the city, and by the time I reached my destination my heart was racing as if I'd run rather than driving there! A 20 minute walk to the shops and back definitely counts, albeit not for much. :o

Have a pleasant evening, all, and welcome to yet more newbies!

ETA - hope you feel better soon, sparrer.
Back after a very long break!

Sorry to hear you not been too well and hope you feel better soon - there are easier ways to get off that ledge you know ;)

I have had one of those snacky days today, think it started with breakfast - thought i would have a couple of go for it sultana biccies and that turned into 6  i really should have had my cereal!

I remember having an orange and a pear somewhere along the way and an uncle bens risotto. I have just had a lf yogurt and oh just asked me if i wanted gammon steaks, pasta and garlic bread??? at 10.50pm?? I was going to have some garlic bread but then i thought its just cos he is cooking it i feel like i should eat something so i said no :)

Apart from that i can't remember what else i ate - and i know i did cos my jaw hasn't stopped much :rotfl: I have been trying to do healthy snacking rather than choc biccies etc tho so i don't feel too bad about the day. I did give in to a mince pie earlier but that was the only really naughty snack :rotfl:

I'm not managing the exercise bit really apart from the odd walk round the shops so i'm planning to get some of my dancy music out and have a boogie about on the days when i'm not getting out and about :)

  • Morning all - get well soon sparrer, it's not much fun feeling ill.

Well at last I had a good day yesterday! I think the gain has shaken me up a bit and shamed me into it, as you all seem to be doing so well and I feel to be letting the side down! Yesterday's eats added up to 1200 cals so hoping I am back on track again:

    B - porridge & raspberries
L - HM Tomato & Basil soup, a Thins ham salad sandwich & half bag cheese curls. Mini banana & FF vanilla yogurt.
D - Smoked haddock, salad & few new potatoes. My own LF Eton Mess,
S - Few grapes, bag WW crisps, glass of red wine.

    Have a good day all.

Morning all. Hope everyone is feeling well and up for it!
My meal plans for today are -
B - 2 [small] slices wholemeal toast, mashed banana
L - 2 small slices wholemeal toast, baked beans with a bit of grated cheese and worcester sauce
D - falafel, salad, couple of new potatoes.
S's - FF yoghurt, fruit, brazil nuts
exercise - an hour on the wi fit. Have also got to go shopping, so that will be a 2 mile walk [1 mile each way].
    Have a good Sunday everyone.

Morning all and thank you for your get well wishes, don't feel quite so queasy this am.
Fairyclicks - some people will try anything ;). Won't repeat it in a hurry if I can help it though

B - brown roll with scrape of spread/marmalade
D - Omelette with hm 'ratatouille' filling (red/yellow pepper, red onion, grated carrot, cherry tomatoes)
    T - Bowl F&F with ss milk
Snacks - apple, grapes, satuma, melon if it's ripe enough
All the above except B which I've already had depending on how my tum feels

Found a tasty replacement for my cornettos, mix some chopped fruit & nuts into a muller light and freeze it. It sounds dubious but is really yummy :)

    Afternoon All,

Hope you are feeling completely better now Sparrer and are managing to eat the meals you have planned. I've had a very light breakfast and lunch so I can enjoy stew and dumplings tonight. It's DS's favourite meal and he has been asking for it for a while but today's the first Sunday we've had that the weather seems appropriate for it. I've made a huge panful so I'm hoping I can freeze half for a Sunday when I've got DGD so I don't need to spend long in the kitchen then. I've also had a good sort out of all my clothes and packed away all the summer ones, made a pile of ones that are too big that I might be able to pass on to my Mum and a pile that I won't wear for the clothing bank.

    B: Banana
L: Cheese on 1 slice WM toast with cherry tomatoes and garlic. Apple.
D: Beef Stew and dumplings - with carrots, mushrooms, lentils and potatoes in the stew although I shall try to give myself a serving without any potatoes so I can have 2 dumplings!
    S: Raspberries with Greek yoghurt.

Exercise: I woke feeling quite groggy this morning for some reason and nearly opted out of my DVD again but decided I needed to get back on track and actually managed 35 minutes (5 out of 7 circuits) of my Burn Fat, Boost Metabolism DVD. I've also had a walk to the clothing bank to drop off the clothes I sorted out earlier and walked home the long way round to make it just over a mile.

Hope everyone is having a restful Sunday.

    Good Evening x

Just catching up as it has been a busy weekend. Still keeping my activity levels up - just general pottering but much more than I usually manage :j:j:j Eating has been mindful and I have very much enjoyed my food :T:T:T

Congratulations to Slowly Fading and Bitsy on your respective 2lbs loss:T:T:T

Hope you are feeling much better Sparrer and weight loss vibes to all who need them x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

So did a bit of swimming when we took the kids this morning, I am so out of shape where swimming was concerned. Have let myself down a bit with the mindful eating today though and at this rate 2lb loss will become a 2pm gain!!!!
    Anyway fresh day tomorrow :)
