Evening All,
I was hoping I might have a weight loss to report today but I'm afraid not. I knew before I got on the scales as my fingers felt swollen and I was aware I was retaining water. I think it's the roast gammon I had last night which was quite salty. I drank loads of weak squash all evening but it didn't help.
B: Poached egg on toast
L: Butternut squash soup. Apple
S: Shortbread finger.
S: Piece of HM flapjackChicken with peppers, mushrooms and garlic in a wrap with salad. Gooseberry yoghurt.
Exercise: I had a lazy day today, going back to bed with a book this morning. I had a very leisurely morning and was just debating whether to go swimming when DS rang and asked if I'd have DGD for the afternoon whilst they went shopping. So I've just had a walk with DGD and then a walk later to the PO - adding up to about 2 1/4 miles in total.

Hello all. Hope you are all well and happy.
Ragz, another smiley for me pls.
Scales showing 10st 4lb today so v.happy that i have burst through the plateau. Re the weighing everyday, i can't not do it. I don't think its a bad thing as i don't get hung up about weight going up and down as i'm fairly stable. However i do wait until the scales show the same weight for a few days before reporting it here just in case it is just a fluctuation!
the recipes sound lovely, thank you all for posting.
have a good weekend all...newbies and erm, oldies??? :rotfl:0 -
Good evening
Due to illness I put on a lot of weight(2st+ )and now I am healthy and had the ok to diet and exercise I am ready to make some changes to my life. I have fallen into the sweeties trap and I eat everything and anything with sugar in it.
Tonight I am going to have a hunt through the threads to compile a healthy 3 meals a day meal plan so I can lose weight and save money on the shopping. I also need to think of free ways to exercise in the house as the weather here is awful.

Welcome to the thread JBD and Rummer. I'm sure you'll find all the help and support you need here. Always nice to see new faces.
A few people have been MIA for a few days now (Ida Notion, did the no posting unless exercising plan backfire? We won't judge)
I have been having an Eat Everything In Sight day, hormones again, thought I had got away with it this month but was not to be. I really should be exercising now the DCs are in bed (not that they are sleeping) but I just don't feel like it. DH is away camping for the weekend and I just want to curl up on the sofa with my book... which I am off to do now, maybe with a little brandy coffee (surely there's no calories in brandy?)June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Welcome JBD and Rummer xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -

Morning all - I am hot off the scales and feeling thoroughly ashamed of myself. I have leapt back up to 9st 4lbs so that is a 1.5 lbs back on. Though it's hardly surprising after my week of excesses. I am really depressed as I go on holiday next Sunday and was really hoping I would have reached 9 stone by then. I can't seem to get myself motivated again for some reason. Oh well, today is the start of a new week and I really must try harder to get back on the wagon and stay up there! But well done to the losers - nice to see all the smiley faces on the chart.
ps ragz the paprika in the pepper soup is just the ordinary variety. If you try it with smoked let me know the outcome. Sorry for the delay in answering your question but didn't get chance to log-in yesterday.

Sorry not been posting much been a bit busy cake decorating this week  Ooooh fondant icing is sooooooo nice
I can however confirm a 2lb loss this week :T and the best thing is I've not felt deprived but I haven't been eating for the sake of it either. I can't afford to get complacent, 2lb off is great but it can all go back on just as quick. this mindful eating takes a lot of practice and focus but I have felt far happier this week :TI have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

I've also lost 2lbs this week :j :j I have finally broken the plateau I was on, so I'm all
this morning.
However, I've got to be careful I don't go mad today...Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.

Hello all, hope everyone is feeling well today. Congratulations to those who have lost weight :T
My food plan for today is -
breakfast - fruit and fibre, semi skimmed milk
lunch - wholemeal toast, hoummus [LF], grated carrot, tomatoes, cucumber
dinner - cheese omelette, salad. Strawberries with a little bit of single cream.
Snacks - fat free yoghurt, fruit.
That does look like an awful lot of food when it's all written down but I know it's all reasonably healthy.
I have already done an hour on the wi fit, I find it better to exercise in the morning while I have more energy. Will be weighing myself on Monday. I only have 4 [I think] more pounds to go till I am not in the obese category of BMI, so am pushing myself hard for that.0
