Im another who just loves home-made soup. Unfortunately I also rather like the seeded bread thickly slathered in butter and the tortilla chips to dip into it:eek::eek::eek:

I am planning to make batches of butternut squash/ apple and roasted swede soup this weekend. I was going to do it last weekend but it was too hot. Now it is too cold and I have been struggling today.

Anyway it is weigh day tomorrow so we shall see how I got on this week. Fingers crossed and wishing you all weighing in tomorrow weight loss vibes xx

    Well done Molly41 and AnnieTheQueen.

WI this morning I was half a pound heavier than yesterday :( so my loss for last week is exactly 1lb, weighing in at 166.6lb (11st 12.6lb) - which would be fine if the two weeks before had not been pretty static. I am only aiming for 1lb a week but I'm going to have to step it up to make the challenge I think... hopefully the next few weeks will be less hormonally challenged.

Morning all, and well done to everyone who's lost this week - this thread's getting so light it's going to float away soon! :T

Weigh day for me and I've lost 0.9lb - it's a good thing I'm not part of the Christmas Challenge as I'm not sure how you'd do 0.9 of a smiley face. ;)

    Today for me goes:

B - apricot jam sandwich made with 2 slices of HM brown bread, a scraping of butter on one slice, and about 3 tbsp of jam (probably a bit much but it's what was left in the jar :o)
    S - two plums
L - Thai lentil and veg soup (leftovers from last night's curry, thinned out with extra water); LF rhubarb yoghurt
    S - apple
D - chicken kiev (a naughty treat from the butcher's :o) with spicy beans and veg

Exercise - a walk into town at lunchtime

    Have a good day, all.
Back after a very long break!

Well done CCP! I think you can count that as a whole pound ;)

Just made red onion soup, works out at about 200cal a bowl. Here's what I did.

Fry 1 chopped large white onion in 1tbs of olive oil and 1tbp clover/butter/whatever.
When going see through add 4 sliced red onions, sweat with lid on for 10 mins, add tsp sugar (easily leave that out, it was pretty sweet) and cook another 5-12 mins. Stir in a tbsp flour and tbsp mustard (I used dijon, wholegrain would be nice), cook for a few minutes while stirring. Add tsp thyme and 1litre of beef stock, simmer for 20-30 mins. Serves 4 - but I doubt there'll be any left by the end of the day!

    Mmmm yummy.

STS this week - again. really not surprised though with meals out, visitors for dinner etc. This coming week I've no plans so have to make a concerted effort to get off this ledge.

    B - F&F, ss milk
L - not sure as I'm out but been told I have to try Ikea's meatballs
    D - 1/2 gammon, salad
Snacks - apple, satsumas, cherry tomatoes (fruit bowl low yet again!)

Exercise - Vac'd through up and down, 20 mins pulm exercise, walking round Ikea. I'm assured it's a good work-out :)

    Afternoon all :)
I'm back from our family hols, much cake eaten and wine drunk, but also did a lot of running around after kids so feel knackered.

Haven't weighed in yet - just started my first real period after coming off the pill, and feeling like carp, so really didn't want to go on the scales today (last night I cried because I couldn't get the label off my new pyjamas :o). Will weigh in on Monday

    Today's meals
    Breakfast: satsumas, grapes
Lunch: salad box from canteen (pesto pasta, rocket, grated carrot and peppers, topped with about 1.5ox cheese), crisps :o, dairy milk :o
Dinner: no idea yet, DH at home so hope he'll do something.

Exercise: none planned - will try to get to gym and sign up this weekend so I can get started again asap.

Well Done on the smilies Molly! I like them too and have added them to my positive steps challenge - its amazing how much it helps to get a :) hehehehe

I have just done my WI too and am now at 10st 10.6 - its an itsy bitsy loss of 0.2 lbs :rotfl: so really i've STS - i'm strangely happy about that because it just wouldn't be right to loose weight while eating KFC and chocolate and drinking coke now would it? :rotfl: I also have not been exercising either so I now know i have to start if i want to reach my goal. Its basically the kick up the bum i needed i think :)

Bit scared that its the weekend again  but i am going to try and do better with both diet and exercise. I still have a headache today so don't think i will make it to the pool, but hopefully will manage a bit of a walk or something later :)

    Have a good weekend everyone

Another newbie here if that's ok! Would love to climb on board.
What a fantastic thread! Have just read the last few pages but will definitely read more later when I have the time. I'm always looking for new ideas on healthy eating. I am currently 12 stones 5llbs, was 14 stones eleven back in May. I am hoping to lose another 2.5 stones.
    My meals today -
breakfast - small bowl of fruit and fibre
lunch -small wholemeal sandwich with lowfat hoummus, tomatoes and cucumber, fat free yoghurt
for dinner I am going to have lentil and veg curry [made by myself].
For snacks I have had a couple of pieces of fruit and a snack pack of 'go ahead' apple and sultana biscuits [the healthiest thing in the vending machine after swimming]. I also have 3 brazil nuts every day as extra protein [I am vegetarian].
I also did an hours swimming which I love doing. It makes me feel great for the day.
