Morning All
Have had my WI day and lost 1 lb yay!!
We are going away tomorrow for a week so hopefully I can have a few little extra treats as going to be doing plenty of walking to make up for it.
Good luck to all and keep up the excellent work.0 -
So glad to hear that it helps to keep plugging away even when one gets into a rut, thanks lovetopaint and others.
Felt very hungry yesterday evening running up to dinner and found myself cooking the dinner and nibbling anything I could find in the kitchen, handfuls of almonds, cheese, chrisps etc. However once dinner had been eaten, phesant carserol and baked potato with sour cream and chives, HG runner beans (cooked for me! I love the taste of them raw but they don''t like me) all was well and I settled down fine. (not very slimming huge spud, big dollop of sour cream but yummy:p)
Perhaps it was drinking leaded coffee insted of my usual de-caf. I have a jar I want to use up so trying to drink one or two mugs of it before midday and non after, I think I made some after mid day yesterday. Also I am sure I didn't drink enough water, it was very warm here yesterday.
Another lovley day and I have a treat this afternoon of a facial and massage...lovley, half a day off for me :T
Hope you all have a great weekend."doing the best you enjoy, not the best you can tolerate, is truly the best you can do sustainably."0 -
Good morning all! Just weighed myself and am pleased to say i am now 10st 10.8lbs
quite shocked at that actually considering my slip ups i must say but am thinking all the extra fruit must be doing something :rotfl:
Think i would like to join in on the only weighing in on Fridays too!

Someone told me it was the process not the end result that was important x
:T Molly41, that is just what I am beginning to realise. I don't want to quit just because I find the journey hard sometimes.
Thanks all for the mentions, we all encourage each other.
Have a fabulous weekend everyoneHealthy eating aim per day: 3 fruits, 3 or more vegetables, 3 low-fat dairy portions, 3 starch portions, 2-3 lean protein portions.
Weekly aim: to include 2 portions of fish (one oily), some nuts, seeds, beans and pulses.0 -
Good morning all, isn't it beautiful?!
So pleased to read everyone's sticking with it - would be so sad to let it go now after all the effort. It will pay off, I'm sure, I've been plugging away since last Dec 26 and only really now seeing a significant change. Imagine if I hadn't found this thread, I'd probably be a stone heavier, not a stone lighter
If it makes life easier for ragz I've no objection to changing my weigh-day from a Weds to a Fri, could be better for me in fact as Weds evening is difficult for eating a proper dinner, out early and back late. I'll go with the flow
B - Croissant, spread, marmalade
L - Dry fried egg, mushrooms, tomatoes, 1/2 slice wm toast
D - Chicken, runner beans, baked pepper
Snacks - pear, melon, nectarine, pack snackakacks
Exercise - mow the lawn, plant the crocuses (managed to plant all the others yesterday!) scrub stairs and landing carpet after muddy dog paws got up there before I could catch him
Happy Friday0 -
Afternoon all.
It's another gorgeous day in Portsmouth, just right for doing something energetic - unfortunately a combination of the warm weather and having not had time to use my light box recently means that all I really want to do is curl up and go back to sleep.
I'm more than happy to shift my weigh day back to Friday - which is what it used to be - as I weighed myself again this morning and weighed 1lb less than I did yesterday.(I'm not sure that's accurate, though.
)
Brunch - cheese and ham on toast (two slices and the crust - more than I needed, if I'm honest)
Snack - another couple of mini apples
Dinner - don't know yet
Exercise - I've got to go and hoover the bathroom in a second, and I might wash the patio doors if I can find the energy from somewhere; a walk up to the theatre this evening (I'm just hoping I don't end up falling asleep in the darkness ), and possibly back if someone else is going my way - if not, I'll get a taxi, which is a bit lazy but much safer.
Have a lovely, sunny day, all.Back after a very long break!0 -
Molly41 and Blondy24 - well done on the losses this week.
Sparrer and CCP - any weigh day is fine, I can add your losses whenever, I just suggested Friday as the challenge ends on a Friday, it's totally up to you if you want to change to Fridays. As the trend seems to be going that way (and I like the idea of having the week to make up for weekend slip ups!) I shall declare mine Fridays too.
WI this morning at 167.6lb so still only 2 smillie badges for me, though I am confident that this time next week a few lb will have gone (if I am getting better at predicting my hormones effect on my weight). I did well at swimming last night, 76 lengths breaststroke plus 10 mins practising front crawl which I am awful at.
Breakfast was the usual crumpets, with more crumpets for lunch as I don't have much in. Snacks of a large pear, few breadsticks and crackers and a hot chocolate. Dinner will be... pasta and sauce I think, maybe with some HG green beans (french type not runners!). Oooh, and grated cheese as I just noticed severe lack of protein in today's menu!
Had a dodgy tummy attack this afternoon, feel ok ish now so hope that was allJune Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Evening All,
I too don't mind making my official weigh day a Friday. I get weighed every day anyhow, but only record it once a week. It also gives me a week now to have a loss to record!
It's been glorious weather again today and I've had a lovely day, although with less exercise than I'd planned. I was just about to go swimming when DS rang up and asked if I'd like DGD over for her lunch and afternoon sleep whilst they did a supermarket shop and I abandoned swimming immediately!
B: Muesli with extra sultanas and oat bran
L: Prawn salad wrap. Lemon curd icecream with DGD - it was only a child sized one and she had most of it anyhow.Chicken in a mushroom and creme fraiche sauce with peas. Raspberries with Greek yoghurt.
I've also just scraped out the mixing bowl as I've made a fruit cake for DH.
Exercise: 20 minutes of Shred DVD. Walk to the shops and for an ice cream with DGD and later round a lake with DH but probably only just over a mile.

Well done FairyClicks, have added your loss to the List.
Just had penne, half jar of sacla stir sauce, red peppers from a jar and green beans... very tasty and less than 600 calories and I was full after. (Even measured the pasta!)
no exercise today though did the school run twice. After the upset tummy this afternoon I thought jumping about would be pushing it!
TravellingAbuela with the Grand Kids and food thing (I know, kids leftovers are very appealing!) could you not make healthy picnics for you all to share rather than You food and Them food? Things like breadsticks, fruit, ham, crackers, small cubes of cheese, yogurts, cooked chicken kebabs etc then you wouldn't feel like you are missing out and they will get the benefit too (not saying you feed them junk lol)...June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500
