Can't belive I haven't posted since last Thursday, so busy. Anyway WI day yesterday and Stayed the Same huumm, not to good but not so bad either. Trying harder this week but have been feeling a bit lethargic.
Been skimming thorugh the posts, someone posted about eating raw runner beans can't remeber who...were you OK? I did that once and they made me so sick, looked it up and found that runner beans contain a compound which can cause vomiting. Some people don't seem to be affected though, not sure if this is the people themselves or the variety of beans.
see you tomorrow."doing the best you enjoy, not the best you can tolerate, is truly the best you can do sustainably."0 -
Ive always eaten runner beans straight off the plant since I was knee high to a grasshopper - Yum and no bad side-effects. How interesting that it can cause vomiting :eek::eek:I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

Evening All,
Another fantastic day weatherwise here today. I enjoyed a walk in it this morning but was stuck indoors for over 3 hours this afternoon as I had a shift at work.
B: Muesli with extra sultanas
L: Ham and pickled onion sandwiches. Oat and sultana slice.
S: Pear.
T: Poached egg on toast. Slice of toast with blackcurrant jam. Apple crumble and custard.
Exercise: I had a 5 mile walk this morning and then back and forth to work twice so another 3 miles, making 8 miles in total.

Have come on to admit to a large curry (HM!) with chapatis and a small bottle of cider... (oh and two cheese straws for lunch, with two bananas)
15 minutes on the wii
Sparrer - that menu sounds lovely. Especially the pudding!
FinanciallyGaga - I swim twice a week, at about 8pm so it doesn't matter what my hair looks like after. I let my hair dry naturally then spend a bit longer straightening it in the morning (I have a fringe now so I have to straighten every day). An hour burns about 600cal if you do constant lengths so it's great exercise and low impact so little risk of injury (other than drowning!)...
Fairyclicks - the trick is not to buy them, no matter how cheap they are. Not even if they are giving them away cos you know exactly what'll happen to them! lolJune Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

I agree Sparrer - your menu sounds absolutely yummy :T:T:TI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

Morning all, another thumbs up to your menu sparrer, sounds lovely. Just awaiting the arrival of the 3 DGDs for the day and feel half asleep - I don;t usually need an alarm but set it just in case and this morning I'm glad I did! Must be the darker mornings making me sleep longer. Another lovely day promised so once the eldest has gone to school may have a trip out and picnic with the younger ones - would be a shame to waste this welcome sunshine.
I stuck to plan yesterday and feeling hopeful for Saturday's weigh-in! I only weigh myself once a week but agree it can be tempting to hop on every day. Anyway yesterday's eats which came in at about 1,100 cals:
B - 2 slices toasted Nimble, scrambled egg & thin ham.
L = Remaining ravioli, salad & slice wholemeal. Mini banana & FF vanilla yogurt
D - Pasta in Tomato & Mascarpone sauce, thin sliced chicken & salad. Meringue nest, raspberries & WW fromage frais.
S = Satsumas, few grapes, mini ice cream cone.
Have a good day one and all."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Morning all
DH didn't go out after all last night, so dinner consisted of pasta and pesto with some chorizo and roasted pepper from a jar - not great calorie wise, but I had to fit it in around making bolognese, white sauce and chocolatifying some flapjacks to make my Nannie's Chocolate Crunchie for our family hols tomorrow. and pilates, where she made us do the harder version of every exercise *insert exhausted looking smiley here* I can feel all my stomach muscles today for sure!
Today's meals:
Breakfast: muller breakfast corner, tiny pear
Lunch: reduced fat cheese* sarnie on WM granary (only alternative left in fridge was corned beef, ick!), tiny pear, satsuma
Dinner: small portion spag bol (if any left after building lasagne) or beans on toast.
* the Davistow cornish rf cheese is actually almost edible, muxh nicer than the tesco one we had before
Exercise: none planned, but I have to bake a lasagne and a batch of cupcakes, make icing for a layer cake, make custard icing and assemble cupcakes, wrap 5 birthday presents and pack for our hols tonight, so I don't think I'll be doing much sitting down :eek:Little monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160
