Good morning everyone
.
Just logging on to say that I have exercised this morning (and yesterday), as this has been a weak area that I am working on.
My wi fit said today, to try collect 30 mins of exercise a day. That is, if you can't do it all at once then break it up into portions that fit in with your day.
I have no problem with with that kind of portion control, I never go over! :rotfl:
If it helps, I feel I have just come out of an enormous rut this week. I really considered leaving the thread for a bit, because I was in a 'what's the point, I can't do it' frame of mind. If anyone is feeling like this, just post post post regardless, because you will come through it if you keep trying. I just have, and this is why this thread is so beneficial.
Have a good day everyoneHealthy eating aim per day: 3 fruits, 3 or more vegetables, 3 low-fat dairy portions, 3 starch portions, 2-3 lean protein portions.
Weekly aim: to include 2 portions of fish (one oily), some nuts, seeds, beans and pulses.0 -
Weigh-day and I've sts - not too disappointed as the scales hovered from 10st 9.8 to 10st 10 before stopping at 10/10, which means I'm on the low side of the 10lb mark. Or am I just kidding myself?
. I have a meal out on Sunday and the visitors on Monday so have to be extra good with all my other meals.
Thanks for the feedback on the menu, thought about it and am making a change to the pud by sub'ing ff plain yogurt for the lf creme fraiche. I tried a tiny taster this morning and it's much nicer.
I believe it was me who said they were eating raw runner beans. They're very morish and fortunately didn't make me sick. There's not much I don't like raw, I have to stop myself or there'd be no cabbage, carrots, etc for the pot!
B - Croissant with lf spread, marmalade
L - Cheese omelette, hg cherry tomatoes
D - Jacket potato topped with shredded chicken, red/yellow peppers, red onion
Snacks - Satsumas, melon, nectarine, banana
Exercise - got to get those %"&)%! Spring bulbs planted! Been procrastinating for days and need do it before the weather changes

Well done for sticking with it Lovetopaint - I know exactly what you mean.
Well I had my dinner at 7am :eek::eek: No Im not joking as I had been up since 3.30 am mulling things over so was ravenous. It has done the trick though and absolutely no hunger pangs and more energy. I really fancied what I ate it was just an odd time of the day to eat it. I decided not to be constrained by what society expects you to eat for breakfast/ lunch/ tea/dinner. I broke out of my food eating mould and felt better for it:T:T:TI must not fear. Thank you. I'm feeling exactly that same at the moment - I've been considering abandoning my weight-loss attempt for this year, rather than carrying on until early November as I'd planned - but you've convinced me to keep trying even though I'm not really getting anywhere at the moment. :T
It was weigh day today and it's STS, which is no surprise at all. It's annoying because I know exactly where I'm going wrong but can't seem to find the smallest bit of energy or enthusiasm to put it right. As you said, though, lovetopaint - I'll keep trying.
Today goes:
Brunch - one and a half bacon sandwiches; glass of fruit juice
Snack - two mini apples
Dinner - probably LO salami and bean chilli, if it's still OK (it's been in the fridge since Monday so I'll have to give it a sniff first)
Exercise - tidying the bathroom after yesterday's painting spree (admittedly, the spree wasn't mine, but the paint on the carpet needs sorting out by me); mile and a bit walk to and from the pub this evening, with a couple of ciders in the middle - if I can find the energy to go out by then
Have a pleasant day in the lovely sunshine, all.Back after a very long break!0 -
Lovetopaint and CCP - very glad you haven't left! Stick with it, results will come soon and motivation will return, be positive!
I am in a major rut the past week or so, think it's hormone related but I am just so frustrated that weight is going gradually up rather than down, despite my reasonable (best would be a lie!) efforts. I just keep looking back at the beginning of the month when I was 3/4lb heavier and remembering I have made a lot of progress really, it's just in spits and spurts... and of course January when I was 2 stone+ heavier...
Swimming tonight, will aim for 75 lengths as I've been slacking the last two times (getting angry with other swimmers uses too much energy!).
Food today has been
Breakfast - Crumpets, spread and jam, tea and coffee.
Lunch - 2 bananas, 4 breadsticks, a tuc cracker, a can of lilt, a milky way and a few crisps. (Impromptu picnic)
Snacks - 3 choc chip cookies
Dinner - spag bol

Evening All,
I'm at DS's babysitting for DGD and using his internet. I've had a quick tidy round of the toys and am now enjoying a well earned sit down.
B: Raspberries with Greek yoghurt
L: Prawn salad wrap. Piece of dark chocolate.
S: Piece of Camembert (large!)
2nd S: Ice creamRoast chicken, mushrooms, cabbage, green beans, new potatoes with butter.
Exercise: 2 hours of Pilates classes. About 4 and a quarter miles walking - to class, delivering publicity materials for work and walk to DS's.
I really feel like nibbling but can't really go raiding the fridge and cupboards whilst babysitting so will have to be good.

HI everyone!
Sorry to hear about the ruts and loss of motivation some of you are having - As has already been said its great that you are sticking with the thread and still trying! I'm not sure if it helps to hear that for me its good to know that people on this thread are not ultimate dieters - i feel like i slip up everyday and its good to know i'm not alone in finding it difficult.....
On the slipping up tone i have to confess to having given in to the cream eggs that were jumping up and down at me in the shop today, and a bread and butter pudding!!!
On the positive side i did manage to eat lots of fruit and low fat yoghurts etc too!
My day went something like this:
B - first B was at 5 am when i got up to eat a banana as i hadn't got to sleep yet, second was at 9.30 - 2 low fat yoghurts
S - 2 mandarin oranges
L/S - banana
D - prawn salad & then bread and butter pud
S - cream egg & Low fat choc milk
I have to say i have never eaten so much fruit in my life so regardless of weight i am at least being a bit more healthy than before
Tomorrow is my weigh in day - bit scared tbh :eek:Debt at Aug 2010 (LBM) £21,908.86, Debt Freeeeee Date 4th Nov 2013 :j:j:j Massive Thanks to the £10 per day thread :A Next goals:Savings £1203.16/£10,000******Mortgage to Zero: £52,579.46 to go

Good Morning x
As predicted my weight has gone up a little:( But have still lost another half a pound overall:o So add that to my other half pound that is still lurking and it's another smiley face for me please Ragz:T:T:T
Im pleased I have now got a definite day for weigh in. I think we should make a pact and support each other to step away from the scales until next Friday?
Personally, it does me no good as my weight goes up and down like the proverbial yoyo and makes me feel sad and obsessedSo wonder if any of you guys will join me?
Hope your weight loss journey is going well. Someone told me it was the process not the end result that was important xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.

Morning all, another tiring day of childminding ahead, just awaiting the arrival of the 3 DGDs. Well so much for my boasting after having two good days! Took the 2 younger ones out yesterday and took a picnic. As usual my box was all added up for calories and then I have to spoil it by eating all the kids leftovers - and they left more than they ate!! So I won't bother detailing my menu for yesterday! Wish you could buy willpower! I will try and stick to plan today but thinking what's the point as we are going out for a meal tonight (Italian) for our anniversary!! Always something to throw you off the wagon!
Have a good day all."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0
