Right Im posting that I have lost 1 1/2 lbs.....finally:T:T:T So a smiley face for me please Ragz. There is absolutely no rhyme nor reason to this weight loss lark. I was ravenous yesterday and also craved some sugar so indulged in a couple of hundred calories worth of ice cream. So was at least expecting a STS or a gain but no that stubborn pound (and some) has melted away:j:j:j I hope it has gone for good as the Witch returns next week (every 23 days - who would be a woman)

Good luck and lots of encouraging vibes on your personal weight loss journeys x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
  • Morning all, lots of smiley faces on the chart, well done all you losers! Yesterday didn't go to plan one way or another - I stuck to my planned menu at meal times but succumbed to a choc ice mid afternoon and the dreaded glasses of wine leapt into my hands in the evening - twice!! I blame it on the DGDs - they were all manic all day and I needed something to help me just relax and unwind! Calorie count came in at just over 1,100 (including the choc ice) but I stopped counting at the wine stage!
    B - Porridge & raspberries
L - Nimble sarnies of salad & tuna. Mixed fruit after.
D - Ravioli & salad. Meringue nest (getting addicted & only 50 cals) with raspberries, SF jelly & dollop of FF yogurt.
S - Grapes, nectarine & 2 satsumas. Choc ice and 2 glasses of wine!

No kids to stress me out today but lots of jobs planned which should be good exercise! Including tackling the back garden which is so in need of cutting back I don't know where to start!

  • Morning all :). Welcome newbies :).

Tip: cook casseroles and stews (containing beef, pork or lamb), the day before needed, then cool/refridgerate overnight. The next day skim off the fat, which should have risen to the top and solidified. Reheat stew thoroughly before eating.

I am reading my health books again and they are inspiring me, hence the tip.

Exercise completed today, a good habit developing I hope!

Have a good day all, keep moving forward :)
Healthy eating aim per day: 3 fruits, 3 or more vegetables, 3 low-fat dairy portions, 3 starch portions, 2-3 lean protein portions.
Weekly aim: to include 2 portions of fish (one oily), some nuts, seeds, beans and pulses.

    Excellent news Molly!
    Hope you're feeling better CCP

'Morning all, lovely here atm so I might get some gardening in - I have 100 daffies and 60 crocus waiting to be planted and need to get on with it

    B - Mineola
L - One egg omelette with Wyke lf cheese. It really is strong and only needs a tiny bit, am really pleased to find a lf cheese I can cook with and doesn't go all rubbery :)
D - Last of the veg curry with a tbspn basmati
Snacks - Melon, satsumas, banana, mini cornetto

Exercise - cleaned kitchen, vac'd through, washed bins, all in aid of a friend coming for coffee who phoned an hour ago to say she can't make it :(. It all smells of zoflora though so it was worth it. Gardening later

    Happy Tuesday :)

The List has been updated. Well done Molly!

I only managed 50 lengths last night as I was feeling rather ill, glands up and teeth aching :(
Total net calories yesterday was about 1200 though which is pretty good. Today not looking so good as already had 3 jaffa cakes and 2 cracknsnack crackers. No school run today, felt too tired this morning as DS2 been up with croup a lot in the night and so DH did it, none this afternoon either as have to drive to swimming lessons so that'll be no exercise for me today, unless I get a sudden burst of energy this afternoon. Have DD and DS2 here though so I don't expect to get a chance.

Have really been liking MyFitnessCoach on the Wii, it's a lot better than the Wii Fit for actual exercise as it runs a whole tailored programme rather than you having to keep stopping and choosing things. It's less 'fun' though as it's aerobics, yoga etc not silly games, but I don't mind that.

Trying to think of something exciting to do with the pork loin chops I defrosted for dinner. I never eat the fat so will be quite healthy but they always seem so dry and boring... any ideas?

  • If you've got Kitchen by Nigella, I've used the spice rubbed lamb chops recipe with pork chops, very yummy, and no added fat, unless you shallow fry. I grilled them on my griddle pan and they came out very tasty :) you just mix up the spices with some sea salt, and chuck them all in a bag with the chops to coat.

    Afternoon all.

    My day today:

Brunch - two slices of cheese on toast (I've been so good at avoiding cheese recently that the block in the fridge (bought RTC :money:) has started to go furry, so I thought I'd better make an attempt at eating the rest :o); glass of fruit juice
    Snack - banana
Dinner - braised sausages in cider with mushrooms and lentils (very autumnal! :))

Exercise - I really should do something as it's such a lovely day but I'm in a dreadful CBA mood; I might try and do a bit of gardening later so I've at least done something.
Back after a very long break!
  • Hello All,

Completed 30 mins of exercise today in my lunch break.

    S - 2 x Bananas
T - Sausages, Jacket Pots and either Salad or Baked Beans
  • Evening All,

I'm afraid I've gone a bit overboard with eating today, although I haven't worked out the calories. I had a very vigorous exercise class and came home ravenous and then have picked at bits all day , plus DH took me out to lunch. We went shopping in our nearest city today and I got some lovely stuff from the charity shops so have been altering and shortening since I got home. My haul included a pair of Pineapple long exercise trousers, a Precis Petite top, Principles jumper and a lovely short wool dress to wear with boots and thick tights for winter - all for the grand sum of £14.98. I had to take some belt loops off the dress, shorten the sleeves of the jumper and take up the exercise trousers but all done now.

B: Slice of toast with butter and raspberry jam
S: Piece of oat and sultana slice
L: Egg and chips. 2 pears.
    S: Small vanilla icecream cone
T: 2 small slice bread with smoked salmon pate and cherry tomatoes. Large piece of Camembert. Raspberries with Greek yoghurt.
    S: 6 Cadbury's Clusters.

Exercise: 1 and a half hours of exercise classes, consisting of cardio, weights and circuits and core work. About 3.6 miles of walking with shopping, walking to classes and cafe.
