  • Good evening everyone!

I was full of good intentions today - really want to go and sign up at local leisure centre and thought i would do that today but it didn't work out that way (doesn't it always!! LOL)

I did get up early and did quite a bit of moving boxes around in my spare room - i emptied all my clothes out of the wardrobe and drawers into boxes cos nothing fits me :( and i was trying to move it all around so i can set up my wii in there - i do have a bit of floor space now but need to do more sorting before its usable for exercise. Meantime the box moving was my only exercise today.

Food wise today i have had:

B - Oat granola with linseeds and soya milk
    L - 2 Muller corners
    S - Tesco's dairy split ice lolly
S 2 - about 100g of vanilla fudge (mum brought it back from holiday and couldn't resist)
    S 3 - another muller corner
D - 1 little bit of frying steak cooked with onions and mushrooms, huge portion of peas and 3 tiny roast potatoes
S - Half a slice of chocolate cake (other half brought it back from brothers birthday)

There's a theme developing here i see - i try to be good and other people keep bringing stuff in the house :p

Can i ask - is there an agreed weighing day?

Many thanks for all your support:T:T:T
I have lost again today but am not posing it as dont think it is real IYKWIM? Although I did weigh several times in lots of different places:o:o:o

However I generally only weigh once a week so will ignore it until next week.
Fairy Clicks - we generally have our own days for weighing in.

Ragz and CCP - hope you feel better soon x

    Have a good day x

  • Good morning all - it promises to be another gorgeous day today, hard to believe we are almost into October. Well I was a good girl yesterday, sticking to plan and rounding the day off at 1,100 calories:

    B - The usual porridge & raspberries
L - Ravioli & salad, 2 slices Nimble. WW berry fromage frais.
D - Quorn escalope, LF cauli cheese, few new potatoes & carrots. Mini banana, SF jelly, FF vanilla yogurt
S - Few grapes, 3 satsumas, Bag Cheese curls.

I thought of you last night sparrer whilst in Asda - they are now selling mini vanilla ice cream cones with a choc topping and only 60 cals each. I bought 2 boxes as they will be perfect for the younger DGDs who get overfaced with the bigger cones. Maybe they will hit the spot when you crave ice cream and with less cals than mini Cornettos - and far less calories than the Snickers choc ices I am partial to and which DH always insists on keeping a supply of in the freezer!

Have a good day all and I hope you can enjoy this lovely weather whilst it lasts!

    Morning all :)

stuck to plan yesterday and despite baking 2 trays of flapjack for the weekend I didn't succumb and eat any. :j

    Today's meals
    Breakfast: fruit corner
Lunch: Pastrami sandwich on WM granary, apple, tiny pear (smallest i've ever seen!) and satsumas
Dinner: not sure yet, I have to make bolognese and cheese sauce for a lasagne for the weekend, so might snaffle a bit of the bol sauce with some pasta, or might just have beans on toast, as DH out for the evening.

    Exercise: pilates class.

I've been very lax with doing my pilates at home, or any other kind of exercise come to that :o I'm determined to start afresh once we get back from this holiday. Despite my lack of pilates practising though, I'm not getting the same pains in my back that I used to when I skipped it, I think it's finally on the mend, a year after it first flared up :j :D :T

LittleMoog - Thanks for the recipe, unfortunately as it was swimming yesterday I had to cook dinner in a rush and ended up grilling the pork chops with a cheese and mustard topping :o they were lovely though! I used to do them in the grilling machine but they always came out really dry.
Biscuit consumption did not improve :o
I did manage 30 minutes on MyFitnessCoach Wii game, 100 calories as it was flexibility not cardio today (that's two of the many biscuits burned off then!)

FairyClicks - no approved weigh day, go with what you want. Though the challenge ends on Friday Dec 23rd so you could go with Friday if you want. I weight daily then post a loss when I feel I've actually lost a lb for good, I shouldn't, I try not to, but I am a slave to the scales at the moment. :(

Cannot find a single tape measure in the house, I really want to keep measurements too

    Good luck today everyone.

  • Good morning all,

    Lovely sunny day outside :T

Well, was doing really well this week, scales showing 10st5lb all week. Then yesterday, went out for a friends leaving do to a local burger bar - they had the BIGGEST burgers and sides you have ever seen. I had a junior veggie burger with no mayo and shared chips. When i got home, i showed 10st 7lb...after a JUNIOR burger, can you imagine if i'd had a normal sized burger!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

So will have to see what the scales show on friday before declaring again!

    Today's plan:

B - skinny latte and fruit
    S - yogurt
L- soup and veg sushi box (sushi = 136 calories and £1 in Mr S)
    S - coffee
D - 1 potato mash, peas and veg fingers

Exercise - Was going to go swimming - but don't want to ruin my hair! Ragz and others - how do you manage swimming everyday, it'd take me at least an hour to wash, dry and straighten my hair everyday! Do swimming caps work?

    Morning all.

I'm feeling rather  with myself this morning - I wasn't really hungry yesterday so could have got away with a very small dinner, but instead had a massive portion of casserole (there should have been enough for one main meal portion and one lunch-sized portion, but I ate the lot :o), with a big chunk of bread and butter, and washed it down with a large glass of cider. :o:o Why can't I just be sensible, particularly as I know I'm now out for three nights in a row? :(

Hey ho, it's time to climb rather heavily back on to the bandwagon and try to eat more sensibly over the next few days:

B - two wheat biscuits with sliced banana and SS milk
L - ham sandwich on HM granary bread; handful of HG cherry tomatoes
S - (if needed) a couple of weeny apples
D - I'm going out for a curry but will endeavour to be sensible and have something grilled with salad rather than something in an oily or creamy sauce

Exercise - I've got to go up to the shops later to get some coffee (I did my main shop yesterday and didn't realise I'd run out :o); painting and/or gardening this afternoon.

ragz - I know what you mean about being a slave to the scales as I've slipped back into weighing daily as well. :( I know it doesn't prove anything - my sausage casserole binge can't really have added 3lbs overnight - but I can't seem to stop myself. :o
Back after a very long break!

    'Morning all :)

TA thank you for the info re Asda mini cones, sounds just right and I have to go in over the next day or so. I have phases of ice cream, though this one seems to be lasting months rather than a couple of weeks.

Re weighing more than once a week I used to have my scales in the bathroom and would weigh every time I went in there - after washing, after going to the loo, after brushing my teeth/hair - as if any of that would make a huge difference! (It never did :p). The floor in this bathroom is a bit uneven so now the scales are kept in my kitchen toolbox cupboard, somewhere I don't often go unless there's a man about and I need a small job done ;).

Next subject (sorry today's post is long but it's all relevant :)). On Monday I have some people coming to dinner, two Americans and two who like me are watching what they eat. I'm out til 2pm so don't have a lot of time for anything fancy and the Americans want English food. Opinions needed please -

In a deep round earthenware casserole, meat pie made with leanest steak pre-cooked in sc so it's really tender, layered with mushrooms and onions, topped with mash and swede mash in stripes (cos I don't know if they like just swede mash and it'd look pretty :o), with runner beans and baton carrots. Pud - my version of Eton mess made with small dollop raspberry sorbet in the bottom of the dish, 1/2 lf whipping cream and 1/2 creme fraiche, hg raspberries, broken meringue.
I can make the main the day before then just have to put the pud together late Mon afternoon.

    Back to today -

    B - 1/2 bowl F&F
L - Snack panini with lf cheese and hg cherry tomatoes
D - Have to be out early and back late so perhaps a slim soup and skinless chicken drumstick
Snacks - melon, satsuma. banana. Maybe mini cornetto but it's weigh day tomorrow so will see if I can resist

Have a good day in this beautiful weather :)

How about a Shepherd's or Cottage pie which you could make the night before with lovely seasonal veg or salad? You could also do a pudding - maybe a small raspberry trifle with sugar free jelly and lots of fruit, custard using skimmed milk with a dash of single cream poured over the top?
