BlondyCongratulations by the way! I got a Wii fit second hand on Amazon for £60. I think it is great for exercising at home and you can jog on the spot while watching tv. I am waiting for Zumba from Love Film to try it but it must be really popular as they keep sending me other stuff!
Recipes Does anyone have a good muesli recipe? I would like one with nuts and fruit. Thanks for banana bread recipe. I love this Thai soup, it tastes just like one I had at a restaurant, thai hot and sour soup from allrecipes.com (cant post link). I didn't have coriander but it was still fab and in the restaurant there wasn't any!
B Muesli and grated apple
s apricot
l Cheese mayo sandwich (both lo fat) banana
s apricot
d smoked sausage casserole with cheesy mash
My Kitkats are still in the freezer, it's not foolproof but def not as inviting as a pack in the cupboard. I decided to avoid multipacks to remove temptation but I think chocolate is vital to good living so I need to find a happy medium!
Love reading all your posts, bit rubbish at replying to everyone as brain currently a bit scrambled!

Afternoon all.
Weigh day for me today and it's more-or-less STS (it's actually 200g more than last week but I think that's too small an amount to mean anything given the TOTM).
My sister phoned me last night to say she's not coming to stay this week as she'd planned, so I'm intending to have a nice, healthy weekend as I feel that's a large part of where I've been going wrong recently. In the meantime, today goes:
B - granary roll with a tbsp of peanut butter and a banana
L - LO spicy veg noodles; small pack of veggie crackers
S - two kiwi fruit
D - chickpea, tomato and marrow stew with crispy cheese toast topping
Exercise - a brief walk at lunchtime and another one this evening as the weather's nice.
Have a good day, all, and very well done sparrer! :TBack after a very long break!0 -
Hi all - just a quick pit stop to say that I lost my forum password and couldn't remember which e-mail address I'd used to sign up with. I actually forgot to weigh myself on Sunday for the first time in about five months - I seem to have let loads of stuff slide round here. Anyway, in a fit of organization today I found my forum password, and on weighing myself found about one and a half pounds of new heftiness that can be added to the rest that are shortly going to be shown the door. I will update my sig accordingly later.
I have read about the Christmas challenge, and since I was 11 stone and 7.25 pounds this morning will I join in and aim for a target of 10 stone 7lbs. I think that's doable enough for someone who could lose at least four slices of bread and a chocolate bar a day without noticing. What was that I said about letting things slide? Oops...
I like the challenge badges too, but I have got vague memories of the forum software pulling me up once when I tried to add too many smilies (I think the limit was something like fifteen - I've long suspected I take the joviality thing too far!). I expect it is something to do with them being images and the load on the server. If it turns out that there is a limit then maybe you could use an asterisk for every pound lost and give us all a smiley each when we hit our targets. Well done Sparrer!
I agree Blondy, writing down does help. I thought I had a good idea of what I was eating but looking back on yesterday there were things I had forgotten (veg snacks) so think I need to carry on and be comprehensive!
Despite the Kitkat and crisp fiasco I lost 1 1/2 lb this week so I am really please thought it might be STS!
Thinking about replacing bad habits with good, I am a big snacker in the evening and recently I have been looking online at recipes and general inspiration to lose weight which is helping to change my thought patterns.
b: muesli & apple
s:nectarine and banana
l: cream cheese and sweet chilli sandwich, nectarine (found them lurking in fruit bowl!)
s: nectarine
d: spicy sweet potato stew with pitta and yoghurt, kitkat (defrosted!!)
Hope everyone is enjoying the sun!:D0 -
Well done Sparrer, Blondy24 and Anniethequeen on the losses (another lb for me too, am now UNDER 12stone!)
IdaNotion Good to have you back! Have added you to the challenge. Tested smilie limit, it let me do over 20 so I'm hoping we'll be ok. If not I'll come up with an alternative.
Breakfast - 2 small slices of granary toast, spread, one peanut butter, one jam. (380cal)
Lunch - Erm..... Tortilla crisps, humous, 4 dairy box chocolates, Choco Leibniz biscuits x6  and... a banana. (at least 800cal) Hadn't seen my best mate for months! Thought I'd enjoy the binge but actually I still feel sick and bloated now so that's me taught! Luckily swimming tonight will work it off.
Dinner - bolognese and pasta bake. Salad. (700cal)
Swimming tonight will burn off 600-700 and I may also run if I'm not feeling too bloated. Right now I feel blurrghhJune Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500
