Afternoon All,
I'm afraid I can't join you in your lose a stone by Christmas challenge Ragz as (hopefully) I only have 5lbs to go to get to target. I'm aiming for 8st 7lb but will reassess once I get there. I was only 7st 11lbs when I got married at 22 but that was 31 years ago and I think I need to be a bit heavier now. I had my weigh in today and stayed at 8st 12lbs although the needle did flicker on 8st 11. My exercise classes restart this week after 6 weeks off for summer so I am hoping that will give me a bit of a boost.
I've spent the morning in the kitchen which won't help the weight loss as I made apple crumble, apricot scones, stuffing for tonights chicken and prepared all the vegetables. I also roasted and then pureed a load of tomatoes that needed picking ready to put in the freezer.
B: Poached egg on toast
L: Prawn salad wrap. Toffee icecream with toffee sauce.Roast chicken, stuffing, vegetables, Yorkshire pudding. I shall do roast potatoes too but don't mind missing out on those. Apple crumble and custard.
Exercise: 20 minutes Shred. Walk to supermarket and back (only about half a mile in all).

Afternoon all.
I won't be joining the C-word Challenge, I'm afraid - I've already decided that I won't be trying to lose weight once we get to winter and will focus on keeping off the weight I've lost already rather than putting it all back on as I usually do once the weather gets colder. The very best of luck to everyone challenging, though.
I've got 1kg to go to reach my target for this summer, although I'm going to struggle to reach it if I don't do better than I have done for the past few days. Today is / was:
Brunch - large ricotta and salami sandwich (delicious, but very unhealthy)
Snack - apple
Dinner - baked marrow stuffed with bolognese sauce with a small amount of pasta
Tonight - possibly a couple of drinks at the pub quiz - I haven't yet decided if I'm actually going and, if I do go, whether I'll have anything to drink while I'm there (I'm suffering from a bad case of CBA today)
Back after a very long break!0 -
I won't be joining the Lose a Stone by Xmas challenge either - only another 4 lbs to lose before target - but if I ever get there I will reassess like Rose and maybe try for another few pounds. If I can lose this darned 4 lbs before my holiday in October I will be happy! Long gone are my "beach body" days, I'm happy just looking nice fully clothed!!! I know I should exercise more ragz but what with one thing and another I always have an excuse!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0

Hello
I hope you don't mind another newbie joining in? I tried SW and various other things, but got really annoyed with it and decided that cutting back and being sensible is the way to go. I'd like to lose a stone by christmas so will join your challenge if that's ok?
Tomorrow is looking good (we won't mention today!!)Say what you mean.. mean what you say... without being mean.0 -
Welcome Annie, good luck to you, and all the others, joining the stone by C*******s challenge
Sunday - oh dear, can't even remember the names of the 'designer' dishes but will try to describe
B - a biscuit
L - starter was sliver of salmon on a blini with a tiny dollop - sorry, they said it was a 'whisper' - of garlic and herb cream
Main - 6 tiny squares of duck, a fried? potato round (like a squashed croquette), two wilted spinach leaves and a teaspoon of jus - I do wish they'd just say sauce, or gravy!
Pud - a thimble-sized panacotta with blackberry sorbet and 4 blackberries to decorate. The tiniest oat wafer I've ever seen!
Supper - bowl of F&F and a fresh fruit salad of pear, nectarine and satsuma
Exercise - the 200 yard walk from their carpark to the restaurant, twice because the first time I forgot my camera. Company was good though:D

Morning all, and what a miserable morning it is too!
Today for me goes:
B - honey nut shredded wheat with SS milk
L - sandwich of some kind (I must get myself organised and make sure I have bread and sandwich fillings ready for Monday morning so I don't have to go out and buy something); handful of radishes; maybe some instant soup as the weather's so nasty
S - banana; pear
D - meatball and veg tagine with a chunk of sesame seed bread; stewed rhubarb with LF fruit yoghurt
Exercise - maybe a walk at lunchtime (or maybe not, given the weather)
Have a good day, all, and welcome to Annie!Back after a very long break!0 -
Pud - a thimble-sized panacotta with blackberry sorbet and 4 blackberries to decorate.
I love your attention to detail sparrer...:rotfl:
Hello everyone and welcome to newbies
Weighing in: Stayed the same.
I am turning the tide slowly, but have noticed a little rebel in me keeps resisting. As soon as I feel empowered by my efforts, I have an urge to go back to old habits... Is it because, if I can be successful at this, then I might have to move on to other goals?...and maybe that is what is scaring me! That is a bit deep for a Monday morning, sorry peeps.
Do you know what ragz, I am going to lose a stone by the end of December. Good luck.
More power everyoneHealthy eating aim per day: 3 fruits, 3 or more vegetables, 3 low-fat dairy portions, 3 starch portions, 2-3 lean protein portions.
Weekly aim: to include 2 portions of fish (one oily), some nuts, seeds, beans and pulses.0 -
