Afternoon all.
My (rather belated) plan for today:
B - honey nut shredded wheat with about two thirds of a banana (I think I must have dropped the shopping bag to get the bananas that badly bruised) and SS milk
S - apple
L - bought roast beef roll; bunch of grapes
D - roast pepper stuffed with curry and rice LO from last night, with a mini peshwari naan (or possibly 2 - they're just so good!)
Exercise - my usual walk into town at lunchtime, against a strong headwind which must count for extra.Back after a very long break!0 -
Morning all. Welcome newbies. Back from my few days at the caravan and didn't get the rest we anticipated - middle DGD came with us just to keep us on our toes! Despite taking my scales, calorie counter book (and good intentions) they didn't see the light of day and I was just eating whatever appeared in my hands! Just back yesterday in time to meet up with my girlfriends at the carvery for our monthly get-together. So all in all a very naughty few days and I don't expect great things on Saturday's weigh-in. I do hope last week's 1 lb loss isn't back on. A strict couple of days ahead of me in readiness!
Just been deciding on today's menu:
B - Porridge with raspberries
L - Poached egg on Nimble toast, cooked cherry tomatoes and thin sliced ham. Sliced mini banana with FF vanilla yogurt.
D - Tuna salad with HM wedges. SF jelly, raspberries & WW fromage frais.
S - A few grapes, satsumas.
Not a good day here for considering exercise (rain!) so may go food shopping and also have a look for a new microwave (current one gave up the ghost last weekend) Have a good day all."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -

lunch: cheese sandwich(all the other sandwich stuff had gone off!) apple, clementine

exercise: pilates. was exhausting after our summer break. despite my best intentions I didn't do that much in the last 4 weeks, so everything felt very difficult and my abs are killing this morning!
today's meals:

lunch: something from the work canteen, apple, clementine
dinner: spag bol

Morning all.
Weigh day for me today and I've lost about half a pound - I was expecting STS as I've done very little exercise this week so I'm more than happy with that.
Today goes:
B - honey nut shredded wheat with half a banana (poor bruised things!) and SS milk
S - bunch of grapes
L - WM pitta bread filled with prawns, chopped pepper and a thin spreading of red pesto; 4 cherry tomatoes (home grown ones! :j); LF blackcurrant yoghurt
D - chard and goat's cheese omelette, HG French beans (more :j), two RM potato rostis
Exercise - a walk at lunchtime if the weather's even vaguely co-operative; if not, just a dash to the post office round the corner to post my dad's birthday present
Have a good day, all.Back after a very long break!0 -
Morning all, have been very very good this first week back on track and have lost a lb. Weighed in this morning at 12 stone 2.8lb.
Despite all my lecturing about decent breakfasts I too find that eating breakfast makes me eat more. It seems to kick off my metabolism too much and I get hungry again about 10am. I've either been eating too early or eating the wrong things... I think once I'm at target I'll be ok but because my evening meal is my main calorie intake I need to reduce more during the day.
So far today I've had a cereal bar and a coffee. (Total 140 calories ish).June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Hi all, have caught up with all the news/losses/newbies; well done to everyone to sticking to it in this dreary weather!
Been away for about a month, my dad passed away so have been in london. It was expected as he was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer in Jan 2011 and given 4 months to live but your dad is your dad whether you expect it or not :-)
I suppose the 'good' news is that i got home last week and had only put on 2 lbs but have lost that this week. Current weight is 148lbs, and back in Feb my goal was to get to 140lbs so not long to go hopefully. This last 8lbs is really not going anywhere though so i need to start exercising more. Eating is ok but the lack of exercise is the problem at the moment so will tackle that slowly.
New goal - to get to my goal weight by Diwali which is oct 26th (or thereabouts) this year.0 -
Okay after the pub yesterday (which was very nice I might add!) I tipped slightly over my calories for the day (but was still under my burn rate from exercise :j) but I am being better today so ....
b - 2 slices Hovis seed bread, 30g gammon
l - might have some soup, depends on pain
d - cottage pie (home made)
drinks - chamomile tea
snacks - cheese and ryvita (2 ryvita and 30g cheese)
exercise - don't know about this, having a friend over yesterday I overdid it and I am suffering (blasted shattered ankle and chronic pain!)Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup

Afternoon All.
I had a very lazy day yesterday which included fish, chips, chocolate, Coke and lying on the sofa with a book for about 7 hours! However, I am back on the straight and narrow today - although I have just put 4 apple crumbles in the oven!
B: Fat free vanilla yoghurt with oat bran and a spoonful of stewed apple
L: Seedy wrap filled with HG spinach leaves, tomatoes and cucumber and also prawns. 2 kiwi fruit.Chicken thigh, creamed spinach, green beans, new potatoes (with butter). Apple crumble and custard.
Exercise: 20 minutes Shred DVD. Walk to PO and library so about a mile at the most. 30 lengths swimming. I haven't been swimming for about 5 years but as my dog walking friend is on holiday which means no long walks I decided to give the pool in the next door town a try. I was really pleased to manage 30 lengths and intend to keep going. We have a pool in our town/village but it is open air so will be closing for the winter shortly and I don't really fancy an open air pool at this time of year.
