    Evening All

Weigh in today went well. I am 3lbs down on last week - which I'd put on the week before so think was mainly due to water retention. I'm back to 8st 12lbs so only 5lbs left to target. I've been looking after DGD today so had a lovely day, although it rained constantly so we didn't get out.

    B: Toast with raspberry jam.
L: Boiled egg with soldiers. Stewed apple with oat bran and vanilla yoghurt.
D: Grilled haddock in breadcrumbs, peas, tiny serving of mashed potato. Iced raspberry smoothie.

Exercise: I was a bit short of time as I got up late so dug out my 30 Day Shred DVD and did Level 3 of that as it is a good workout in just 20 minutes. No walks but just debating whether to give my friend a ring and see if she wants a walk now as it's stopped raining.

Hope everyone has had a good weekend.

    Rose

ETA: Did ring friend and we had a 5 mile walk. Got back just before it got too dark.

I STS this week but I think that was due to the medication I was on last week - so hopefully this week will be better!

brunch - Hovis seed bread with gammon
    dinner - cottage pie (home-made)
drinks - chamomile tea and maybe some tonic water

Exercise - well I have done some cleaning this morning :D

Hi folks, time I got back to serious weight loss efforts. I realised earlier in the Summer that I was talking about losing but not acutaly doing any thing and I don't think I was helping anyone rambling on as I was.
The we got Harry! Our chocolate, cocker spaniel puppy has been with us 3 weeks and totaly turned our life on its head, he is wonderful and keeping us on our toes. In the first week we had him I lost weight as too busy to snack and running around. This week he will be ready to go for his first walk...hooray, I am so looking forward to it. (I'd post a photo but I don't know how as the pictures are not stored on line)

Went to the gym today for the first time in nearly three months, feeling supprisingly good, DH and I have committed to going twice a week, we used to try and go three times and often missed out due to work or overdid it and had to miss a session so we agreed that Monday and Friday would be simpler and DH is usualy in the office on those days so we can go together.

During my time away I decided to use up the contents of the freezer and menu plan. This is working really well, saving money and I am sure it has improved our diet generaly. I used some ideas from Fly Lady to make a file with all the lists of freezer contents, menu plans etc and a list of favorite dishes from recipe books to inspire me when my imagination fails.

So tonight it is Frjitas made with left over chicken from yesterday's roast.

Good luck to everyone and I'm glad to be back

Been a struggle to have breakfast these past few days, it takes me a while to get ready when I have to go out so don't always get time. Thought of a cereal bar when I'm going to my destination but don't like eating and driving, so just have to put up with it. I don't really miss breakfast tbh, as long as I can have something for lunch which I also often used to miss before starting to watch my weight. I eat so much (better) these days I'm surprised I've lost an ounce!

B - missed as had to be out
L - 2 slices wm bread with peanut butter . Handful grapes
D - will be 1/2 a gammon steak, dry-dried egg and some salad
Snacks - 1/2 bowl dry F&F to pick at through the day, mineola, pear, banana

Exercise - 1 hour pulm rehab class, changed sheets (doesn't sound too taxing but I'm 5 feet nothing and it's a king bed!), dug up and replanted the lavender I planted yesterday as I wasn't happy with the original site :o

I currently have around 140pounds/10 stone to lose and was wondering if I would be able to join this thread and if someone could point me in the right area for some yummy low fat slow cooked meals/soup as its coming to winter season and I love love love using my slow cooker.

Good to see you Nessy (and as you can see from my sig line I am in the same boat weight wise!), have you tried this site for recipes? I don't know if they are low fat as I don't have a slow cooker :o

Ditto and ditto lol. I too have put on about 2lb over the hols and I'm aiming to lose a stone by Christmas, earlier if possible but it's coming off slowly now.

So far this month I have managed two runs and two swimming sessions, been under my calorie target every day but one where I went over by less than 100. (I'm loving MyFitnessPal)

    Breakfast
    Banana (105kcal)
    Aldi yogurt drink (71kcal)
Crumpets X 2 with Spread and Lemon Lime Marmalade (260kcal)

    Lunch
Not sure yet, will update later. Need to work out calorie content of dinner to see how much I'll have for lunch!

Dinner today will be Fajitas with yesterday's LO roast chicken. (Lazy Liz I'm a day behind you lol)

Agreenmess welcome to the thread, that's a big amount to lose so well done you for deciding to tackle it :D we'll all be here to support you on the way. (Feel free to PM me if you want any help/advice.) Most slow cooker and soup recipes are healthy and low fat as slow cooking generally doesn't require adding any fat. Just sling in your meat, veg and stock/tin of tomatoes with herbs etc and you're good to go. I never used mine for soup so can't help there, I make soup in a pan. Veg + stock + heat = soup! This thread on slowcooker recipes should inspire you though.
