Afternoon All,
My excess water weight is draining away (literally as I keep having to visit the loo!). My rings and watch are much looser today again. I've had a very industrious day and done lots of decluttering and reorganizing of drawers etc. I've also got rid of a few more items of clothing and all my tatty or too big underwear. We went into the next town to us yesterday (ours is more a big village than town) and I visited a couple of charity shops. I got a Per Una brown denim fitted jacket and a pair of Next beige trousers- both size 8 and both which fit beautifully. I then got my sewing machine out last night and narrowed down the legs of the trousers as they were a bit wider than I wanted.
B: Poached egg on toast
S: Coffee and ginger nut biscuit.
L: HM vegetable bake consisting of left over roasted aubergine, butternut squash and pepper from Sunday with the addition of garlic, onions, mushrooms and green beans with Greek yoghurt stirred in, topped with cheese and baked in the oven.
S: Third of a HM scone (shared with DH) and coffee.Cold left over chicken with vegetables and new potatoes. Iced raspberry smoothie.
Exercise: Changed my DVD this morning and did 3 ten minute routines with the stablity ball - upper body, lower body and core. 5 mile walk with dog walking friend. Couple of short trips to town and to drop some stuff off at DIL so maybe another mile and a half.
Keep up the good work everybody.

Hope you are all doing ok xI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.

I have been SO good this past week, my dinner have been my downfall as we're clearing the freezer so not the best options in there.
Had a bowl of porridge for breakfast
Lunch is potato salad (no dressing) followed by fruit salad
Dinner is bacon and mushroom pasta bakeAnnual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

Welcome Mardatha :hello:
I used to eat porridge made with water and salt, but recently been told I need more calcium so add a little drop of milk these days. Re tea I drink it all day, kettle's never cold, ordinary with sk milk, and Earl or Lady Grey and green without, of course. Soup I'm not sure about but someone will be along to advise soon
B - 1/2 grapefruit, 1/4 bowl F&F
L - chicken sandwich (I'll be glad when the darned chicken is used up!) portion plum crumble with lf ice cream
D - Jacket with prawns & 1/2 lf mayo, 1/2 ff yogurt dressing, stick celery, 3 baby plum tomatoes
Snax - cinnamon muffin, grapes. pistachios, banana
Have a good rest of the day0 -
Evening All.
Not an very good day foodwise but lots of walking to counteract it so hopefully not too much damage done. Went out for a meal with DH, DS, DDIL and DGD and various other treats followed.
B: Milky coffee
L: Egg and a few chips. Coke. Icecream
S: HM scone and butter2 ryvitas with peanut butter. Tomatoes. Apple crumble and custard.
Exercise: Did a 10 minute routine with my stability ball DVD and then a few extra exercises on my own. Had a 6 mile walk this morning and then various short walks this afternoon and evening which added another 3.5 miles to the total.
Mardatha- Soup is supposed to be a really good choice as it fills you up - especially homemade vegetable soups. I eat loads in the winter using up all sorts of vegetables. I always start them off with an onion sauteed in butter and then add whatever takes my fancy - eg spinach, carrot, mushroom, leeks, courgettes, watercress (just one vegetable usually not mixed). I've even made lettuce soup when I've had a glut. I sometimes stir in a spoonful of cream for an extra taste of luxury too.
