Weighed in this morning a day late as wasn't able to yesterday, and wish I hadn't...all that yummy food on Sunday has 'blessed' me with a lb on :( so back up to 10st 13.6lb. Determined not to go back to 11st so a serious food week ahead

B 2 slices WW wm with a sniff of spread & scrape of marmalade
L Skinless chicken, mash & broad beans. Rhubarb & lf ice cream
D Boiled egg, 1 slice toasted soldiers.
    Snacks apple, pear, handful cashews

Have a good weekend everybody :)
  • Morning all, back from my few days at the caravan. Managed to keep to a sensible eating plan until I decided to succumb to fish, chips and peas when we ate out on Wednesday! But I did hold back on the pudding! Anyway, weigh day today and I have managed to lose half of the pound I put on last week - so back at 9st 5lb, which is where I was about 3 weeks ago!! So on I plod and live in hope that one day I may be back at 9 stone! I know I only have 5 lbs left to shift but it is proving impossible to lose!

You know the phrase "every cloud has a silver lining" - well when we got to our van we discovered a squirrel had chewed through our gas pipe (apparently it gives them "a high"!) so whilst waiting for a new one made up (annoyed to say the least!) we killed time in the little town and ended up in a charity shop - I spotted a brand new Liz Claiborne jacket for £7.99! Size 12 - I tried it on and it fits like a glove - I had half the shop admiring it! Now that wouldn't have fit me at my heaviest of 10st 8lbs!!

Anyway, I digress, so back to the thread! Menu for today:
B - Poached egg on 2 Nimble toasts, some grilled tomatoes and 2 slices thin ham.
L - Pasta in LF cheese sauce with chopped ham stirred in, some salad. LF choc mousse.
D - Chicken with HM wedges, more salad. SF jelly, strawberries & FF vanilla yogurt.
    S - Grapes, nectarine, satsuma.

    Have a good weekend.

Welcome back TA. I have to drive past a F&C shop every Wednesday evening on my way home and used to say 'I'm really going to treat myself soon'. Well one evening a couple of months ago I did, took it home and sat down to what smelled like the yummiest feast. You know the anticipation, lots of salt and vinegar, eating with fingers that get greasier by the mouthful, with the flavour that only shop bought F&C can reproduce. Started to eat and found what looked like a deep fried wasp in the paper :eek::eek:. Eeeewwwwww!! I think it's put me off F&C for life :(

Running out of ideas (and food, as I'm trying to clear the fridge before buying anything else) so todays will be much the same as yesterdays with only slight variations...

B - 2 wheat free crispbreads which were left over from last Sunday when I had a wheat-intolerant guest to lunch, gotta be used up! Scrape of spread and marmalade
L - chicken, mash, broad beans. Rhubarb, scoop ice cream
D - One egg omelette with onion, celery, tomato, grated carrot.
Snacks - small bowl dry F&F to pick at through the day, apple, pear

Noticed that my intake is getting smaller this last week or two, I'm not able to tolerate the gargantuan portions I used to call a normal meal!
  • Morning all - has everyone gone AWOL it's VERY quiet on here this weekend! I shall be disappearing myself this afternoon - we must be mad but we have promised to take the eldest 2 DGDs to the caravan for a few days - praying for decent weather otherwise it will be a case of "I am bored"!! I have packed some games and DVDs I got cheaply, just in case!

To my cost I know diets and healthy eating don't go well with kiddie food around but will do my best to keep my hands off their leftovers and treats! My usual supply of salads, fruit, veg, chicken & fish will be going with me, pity I can't pack some willpower too!!

    Today's menu will be:
B - Poached egg on a Warburtons Thin, grilled tomatoes & thin lean ham.
L - Cauli cheese (LF recipe), chicken (left from yesterday) and mixed veg. Strawberries and FF vanilla yogurt.
D - Pasta (LF sauce) with salad. SF jelly, mixed berries & LF choc mousse.
    S - Grapes, nectarine & satsuma

Have a good day all and see you at the end of the week.

I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Hi All,

Didn't lose any weight on my weigh in today - in fact I'm a lb up. I'm not too bothered as it only went on over the past 2 days and as my rings, watch etc have suddenly gone tight it is almost certainly water retention. I've been really busy and didn't even do my exercise DVD today. I may ring my dog walking friend shortly and see if she fancies a walk this evening as I could do with the exercise.

    B: Raspberries with Greek yoghurt.
L: HG Salad wrap with home made smoked mackerel pate.
D: Roast chicken, green beans, roasted peppers, aubergine and butternut squash, peas. Followed by coffee and a ginger biscuit.

    Rose

ETA: Did ring my friend and we went for a six mile walk with her dog. Spoilt it slightly by having a piece of homemade flapjack when I got home though!

  • Hello everyone, back from hols, sorry did not get time to post so.

Weigh in states I have stayed the same, which is great as I was like a greedy little piggy on hols.

CCP- Know what you mean regarding lowness over the winter. I used to dread it before it started, and assume it would happen regardless. Last year I told myself I may not get low, and that if I did, then I would cope with it well, ie. a kind of more positive approach. It really helped. Not saying this is you, but it made me realise my fear of depression was part of the problem also.

Will lose some weight this week, it has been a while! Keep going everyone, small steps forward :)
Healthy eating aim per day: 3 fruits, 3 or more vegetables, 3 low-fat dairy portions, 3 starch portions, 2-3 lean protein portions.
Weekly aim: to include 2 portions of fish (one oily), some nuts, seeds, beans and pulses.
