Well once again I fell by the wayside last night. I went all day sticking to plan, with no cheating, then come evening out came the wine and crisps. I need my hands tying behind my back once our evening meal is out of the way! Oh well onwards and upwards and still telling myself I must do better! Today's menu:
B - Porridge with raspberries.
L - TDT cherry toms on a toasted LF muffin (popped under grill with a sprinkling of LF cheese on top) salad. SF jelly, mini banana & FF yogurt.
D - Quorn lamb style grill, salad & HM wedges. Mixed berries & WW fruit fromage frais.
S - Grapes, satsumas, nectarine.
If the rain holds off (we are on the cusp according to forecast) I shall tackle the back garden which is beginning to resemble the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. That will be exercise in itself cutting back all the Triffids that are taking over, smothering the fence and everything in their path. Have a good day all."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Morning all.
Back on to the wagon for me after a bad few days: at the moment I seem to be fine during the week then it all falls apart at the weekends.Until I get a new set of scales I don't know quite how bad the damage is, but I fear the worst.
Today goes:
B - nothing.I was ill yesterday and still didn't feel great when I got up this morning, and just couldn't face food.
S - small pack of smoked mixed nuts; apple
L - some sort of sandwich and a mug of instant soup, I suspect
S - nectarine
D - vegetable tagine with a flat bread; maybe a small bunch of grapes if I feel hungry
Have a good day, all.Back after a very long break!0 -
Morning all
Been missing in action for a few weeks, and boy do the scales show it.
attempting to get back to normality this week, have been far too lax with not cooking, not exercising and eating junk etc for the last month
4 months until the end of the year, and I really need to lose a significant amount of weight by then, as we want to try for a baby from February, and I don't want to be pregnant and obeseI need to lose 4 stones to be in the normal BMI range, but I'm not sure I'll manage that before the new year. I'd need to lose a minimum of 2 stones by new year, which would take me to a BMI of 29, and I'm going to set myself a target of losing 3 stones, which would put me at BMI of 27.
Today's meals:
breakfast: granola bar
lunch: chicken sandwich, on seedy WM bread. strawberries, nectarine
snacks: clementine, pear (if it ever softens up, it's yesterdays and still rock hard :rotfl:)
dinner: chicken and pea "risotto" made with pearl barley. no butter, and just 1/2oz parmesan between the 2 of us sprinkled over at the end.
drinks: litres of SF squash, 2-3 cups of tea with skim milk
exercise: swimming tonight, if I get my lazy bum off the sofa.ETA: spent all afternoon rearranging a storeroom at work, got v hot and sweaty and now aching all over so will take that as my exercise for the day

Exercise - vac'd through up and downstairs, washed bathroom floor, will wash kitchen floor before I go to bed tonight0 -
B- Nothing
L - Was a bit naughty, went to Rice and had the Persian fish kebab which came with fried rice, a creamy sauce and some salad. Well was a treat.
D - Making spicy mixed squash soup

Todays meals:
Breakfast: granola bar
Lunch: chicken sandwich on seedy WM bread, nectarine, clementine, pear
Dinner: HM chicken curry, rice. One of DH's creations, but normally pretty healthy, will just have to remind him not to use too much oil when he fries the spices
edit: snack: 2 handfuls of microwave popcorn someone brought to tea break at work. smelled so good I couldn't resist!
Drinks: can coke zero, sugar free squash, tea with skimmed milk
Exercise: nothing formalgoing for a haircut after work, so no time tonight, and will be in the lab all day so no chance of getting out at lunchtime. Will be on my feet all day though, so hopefully should burn a bit more than normal.

Morning all.
B - two slices seedy toast with a scraping of butter and apricot jam
L - veg tagine (which was meant to be last night's dinner but it was still frozen when I got home); mini WM pitta bread; bunch of grapes
S - nectarine
D - pasta with squid, peas, tomatoes and red pesto
Exercise - a walk at lunchtime, although it may not be very energetic as I'm coughing constantly just sitting at my desk.
Have a good day, all.Back after a very long break!0 -
Morning all - just been having rings round with on-line banking, on phone to bank etc. so breakfast was delayed this morning. I felt hungrier than normal after waiting for it so long! Just going to have a third coffee now and unwind!
B - (already eaten) Poached egg on a toasted W's Thin, grilled tomatoes and 2 slices thin ham.
L - Tuna salad and 2 slices Nimble bread. Mini banana & FF vanilla yogurt.
D - Ravioli & salad. Stewed plums (given a bagful!) with skimmed milk custard.
S - The usual grapes, satsumas and nectarine.
I avoided the wine last night right up to bedtime then succumbed to "just one glass" for a nightcap! I despair, I have absolutely no willpower! Have a good day all and get well soon CCP. These summer coughs seem to drag on and on - middle DGD and DH were both coughing for weeks. Thankfully cleared up now."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Morning All,
Another busy couple of days so little time to post. We had visitors yesterday which meant lunch out and a buffet tea. I was fairly good but did succumb to a piece of Mars bar cake and a scone with jam and cream! However, I also did a new DVD yesterday for 50 minutes and I am aching all over today so it must have done some good.
B: Banana and raspberries with a little left over cream
S: Piece of left over Camembert.
L: (At work) HM Prawn salad wrap. 2 kiwi fruit.
T: Not sure but probably chicken in a creme fraiche sauce with mushrooms, spinach and beans. Maybe followed by an iced raspberry smoothie.
Exercise: I washed my car this morning then took it to the garage for an MOT and jogged back (only 3 minutes but as I don't do jogging should have been good exercise!). 30 minutes of my exercise DVD - my shoulders and arms were aching from the exercises yesterday so missed out 3 of the ciruits! Walk to work and back so about 1 and and a half miles.
