Well done on the weight loss Sparrer :T:T:T
CCP - yes different scales give different readings so you need a couple to ascertain if you have lost weight or not x

I think Im coming out the other side of time of the month so hopefully will start the downward trajectory again. I did succumb last night to some chip shop chips as we were celebrating my DS2 exam results. They were yummy though. The others all had a Chinese though so I did well to steer clear. Actually that sort of take-a-way does not suit me so it was quite easy really.

I had my hair cut and coloured yesterday so feel like a new woman today. My hairdresser is truly a miracle worker and does not overcharge either. Best wishes x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Morning all.

Molly - thanks for the reassurance - hopefully next week will show a loss on my shiny new scales. :)

    Today goes:

B - half a tin of baked beans with a WM pitta bread
L - LO lentil, carrot and mozzarella salad (which is really nice, BTW)
Snacks - bunch of grapes; nectarine
D - French bread pizza with tomato, chard, and a small amount each of salami and cheese; probably a couple of glasses of wine because... well, it's Friday! ;)

Exercise - a walk (or possibly a swim, if it keeps raining like this :() up to the shops at lunchtime.
Back after a very long break!

TA what are Thins, please? I see you mention them a lot so they must be nice ;)
Ooh Molly, chip shop chips! haven't had any in ages and the thought is making me
CCP perhaps the new scales just need time to settle down, hope by next week everything is back to normal :)

    B - 1/2 bowl F&F, sk milk
L - Warm, fresh, snack sized ciabatta with lf philly and the last nibble of the garlic roule. Grapes, why do they always taste better when I've just bought them? Cold and really fresh and sweet and I could eat the lot in one sitting
D - shop bought chicken tikka. I only have the meat though, and freeze the sauce to throw some left over chicken in another time. Not keen on rice so I have it with a plain naan
Snacks - pear, satsumas, mini cornetto, banana

Exercise - almost 2 hours battling my way round Mr A, then another half hour to put it all away!

Hi sparrer - a link to Warburtons Sandwich Thins!! http://www.warburtons.co.uk/sandwichthins/index.asp I am addicted to them almost! Only 100 cals per Sandwich Thin - I use them just for a sandwich, toasted with scrambled (or poached) egg on top or toasted and spread with tinned cherry tomatoes, a spinkle of LF cheese and popped under the grill. The ideas are endless! And they are a much nicer texture than pitta breads. Asda here don't stock them (?wonder why?) but Sainsbury's do. As do the Co-op and Morrisons, or so I am told, but I don't often shop there.

  • Morning all - I won't say good morning as I am starting to despair! Just been on the scales for my weekly weigh in and still stuck at 9st 5lbs! I have lost count of the number of weeks I have been this weight. I really really must try harder. Oh well mustn't lose heart (at least I haven't gained!) so today's menu planned:

    B - Porridge with raspberries
L - LF cheese & ham pasta with salad. Strawberries & FF vanilla yogurt.
D - Quorn lamb style grill, LF cauli cheese, new pots, peas. SF jelly, mixed berries & LF choc mousse.
S - Think I am eating too much fruit 'tween meals so trying to cut back! Instead will have a Crackerbread with some HM jam on - and almost scraped back off again!

Have a good weekend. I am going to really make the effort to do some walking, whatever the weather. Currently the sky is blue, but will it last!

    Morning All,

I've had far too many treats this week, with visitors and days out. I seem to have polished off all the nice 'extras' I bought or made so back to the straight and narrow for me today. Hopefully, if I am careful today then weigh in tomorrow won't be too horrifying.

B: Raspberries with Greek yoghurt and sprinkled with a little oat bran.
L: HM butternut squash soup. 2 Ryvitas with cream cheese, herbs and garlic and HG cherry tomatoes.Iced raspberry smoothie.
D: Chicken in a HM creme fraiche sauce with red onion, mushrooms and garlic served with HG green beans and HG spinach. Stewed HG rhubarb with Greek yoghurt.

Exercise: I've been fairly good about doing my new DVD most days this week and did it again all the way through today (Jillian Michaels No More Trouble Zones) so that was 50 minutes with the warm up and cool down. I shall have a short walk into town to the Post Office and maybe will fit a second one in later but no long walks planned - so only about a mile and a half at the most.

Hope everyone is doing better than I have been doing at sticking to their plans.

    Rose

ETA: Fitted in an extra walk to work and back to sort out borrowing a table for a car boot sale tomorrow so with the walk to the PO earlier have managed about 2 and a quarter miles. I was very good as once DS had found me the table I rang DH to come and collect it but declined a lift home and walked back.

I've stayed the same this week, which isn't entirely surprising. We went out for tea last night and I had 3 courses! so I should probably be grateful I haven't gained...

    Afternoon all.

    My day today goes:

Brunch - three slices HM granary bread with smoked salmon pate; apple
Snack - chopped nectarine with LF fruit yoghurt
Dinner - M&S meal deal - breaded plaice and potato rosti with some veg - probably chard and tomatoes; slice of apricot tart  :o;); a glass or two of wine

Exercise - not much as the weather's fairly unpleasant - a quick walk round the shops earlier, and possibly a walk up to the local shops later if I remember whatever it was I left off my shopping list (it's one of those "I know I've forgotten something, but what on earth was it?" :rotfl:)

    Have a good day, all.

Thank you for the link TA :), they look good so I'll look out for them when I go into Morrisons. Luckily (or not) it's the only shop in my small town, but if they haven't got them I have to go past Sainsbugs next week so will call in there.

Rubbish food day, have been working at the comp all day so grabbing quick food...

B - two slices wm toast with butter and marmalade
L - bowl of pasta twists with onion, red pesto and chopped chicken
    Snack - mini cornetto
D - cheese and pickle sandwich
    Snackks - grapes, satsuma, banana

Exercise - does getting up from the dining table to let the pets in and out for about 1 hours count? No, thought not...:(

Need to get my act together tomorrow or that precious lb I lost will be back, joined with a few more!
  • Morning all - well it's new tactics at Casa Abuela now! I gave myself a severe talking to yesterday, after STS for weeks, and have changed my regime. No more "guessing" the value of the food I am eating (I was obviously eating too much!) - so out has come my trusty old Calorie Counting Made Easy book and nothing passes my lips without first being weighed and the calorific value calculated! Yesterday's menu was scrapped from the outset and a new low calorie one devised - I managed to get through the day on 940 calories and that included porridge at breakfast, a good plateful at lunch and dinner (inc lots of salad and veg), two "afters" of fruit and FFyogurt (or FF fromage frais) and snacks of a nectarine, a few grapes and a bag of cheese curls. So I certainly didn't starve myself. I just hope I can keep all this weighing lark up and see some results this time!
