Oh dear, that lost pound has come back to haunt me, maybe it was the weekend but I reather think it was the self sabotage during the week. Maybe I can get back to excersiing soon. no way I could actualy go to the gym yet, despite my brave claims last week. I have sore legs today and that was from a short stroll with my parents, mind you they walk fast for olds and we did include one very steep hill.
Right backon the wagon this week and a return to exercise by going for a walk down to the river at the bottom of the village, best way to recover from muscle soreness I find.
Rump steak tonight on cibatta with rocket and peppeadew peppers, and addaption from Jamie's 30 Minute Meals, we didn't have this last night a DH full of cold and not feeling like eating properly, we had ranch eggs insted, fired eggs on tortillias with tomato salsa with lots of added chilli and my version of refried beens, (no frying) and lots of garlic. Both chilli and garlic are supposed to be good for colds."doing the best you enjoy, not the best you can tolerate, is truly the best you can do sustainably."0 -
Back from camping, didn't eat an awful lot but drank two bottle of cava and a few whiskeys so probably put on weight! Having Indian tonight as I'm exhausted now!
Financially Gaga... I think some people do get worse PMS during weight loss, once your each target it should improve, it may be to do with a form of estrogen being stored in fat and released when you lose it?
Someone mentioned the Dukan diet... I have to step in and rant about that for a minute... crash diets aren't really Old Style and certainly aren't good for you. Losing half stone in a week or two isn't healthy or sustainable and will have a negative impact on your metabolism meaning you will put it all back on and probably more. Sorry.
Paul Mckenna... I did look into his approach and it sounds fairly sensible. Eat what you like until you're full! It's just the full thing I have a problem with. I can eat twice what I actually need in one sitting easily, I eat so quickly... I probably notice the feeling he mentions but choose to ignore it!

I woke up this morning after Husband's birthday celebrations with the worst hangover I can remember in many a long month. In addition to this, I'd also twisted my knee somehow (whatever we were all up to last night, at least it must have been energetic!). I could barely hobble to the fridge, much less exercise, and when I did eventually decide that I wanted something to eat, such was the force of the beer-induced brain vacancy between my ears that I accidentally made myself a mildly revolting tinned salmon and chilli sauce sandwich, whch my frugal self would not let me waste. In some ways, it was like being pregnant all over again - all that sandwich needed was a squeeze of toothpaste added to it and it would have been my ideal fantasy snack when I was expecting. Not today, though:rotfl:

Morning all.
My day today:
B - banana; small apple and cinnamon flapjack
S - LF peach yoghurt
L - LO lentil and tomato salad with cashew nuts
S - fresh plums
D - small portion of pasta with broccoli, prawns and pesto; side salad
(My meals are quite small at the moment as I haven't got a lot of appetite - I never do when I'm feeling stressed - so I'm figuring I might as well make the most of it and lose some extra weight while I'm not in the mood for eating!)
Exercise - my usual walk at lunchtime, I expect.
Have a good day, all.Back after a very long break!0 -
CCP - hope you feel less stressed soon.
My weight is back to pre- Ragdale. Honestly thought that I would lose weight at a health farm not regain it.
I have just got my Paul Mckenna book. I like what I have seen and hope that my DD will pick it up and read it as she has a significant weight problem. She is very beautiful but Im worried for her health:(
Anyway I will keep on trying to lose a couple of pounds prior to my family holiday. However it's not essential as my clothes are back to feeling comfortable for losing 6 pounds or so.
Sending weight loss vibes xxI must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0 -
