Evening All
I count calories and try to stick to around 1200 a day. I keep a list everyday and approximate the calorie count by always rounding up to the nearest 10. I actually use a large A4 notebook as my mouse mat so it is always handy to jot things down on and that's where I keep my food diary. I also use a side plate for my meals rather than a dinner plate so it always is nice and full.
B: Poached egg on toast
L: Prawn salad wrap. Grapes.
T: Pork in a cremefraiche and mushroom sauce with cauliflower, spinach and new potatoes. Raspberries with natural yoghurt.
Exercise: 10 minute DVD with the stablity ball and a couple of shortish walks - to work and back and in to town and back so around 2 and a half miles in total. Plus I was on my feet for most of the 6 hours I was at work.Weight Loss Challenge 5/7/19 10st 6lbs

Evening everyone mind if i join you?
Have just been reading through this thread and i can slowly feel my motivation coming back. I've only 7-10lb to loose but like they always say its the last 7-10lb thats always the hardest to loose. Had a bit of a boost this week tho as i had food poisoning _pale_ but i'm now feeling very bloated after eating a chippy for tea.
empy - just noticed your following paul mck 90 journal, I followed it for a while at the begining of the year and found it really helpful so will be starting it again from day 1 tomoro.
Have also re-joined fitbug not very mse i know but they have just offered me a 12month sub for £25 instead of there usual £89! so that was my treat for the month. Off to dig out my 90day journal ready for tomoro.

welcome, nickynoo
mymerrywidow I graze on fruit - far too much of it though, so am trying to find alternatives
Long and 'meal bitty' day as I took DM home, stayed for a cuppa then came back, the M-ways were horrendous both ways . Don't usually travel on a Sat but she had to get back today so no choice
B - 2 crispbread with lf spread and scrape marmalade
L - missed, thanks to hold-ups on M40, M25, A1M
T - salad sandwich of 2 slices wm bread, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, one slice spread with lf mayo, t'other with lf spread
Supper - jacket and cheese
Snax - slice pineapple with plain yogurt, 2 fresh apricots, banana0 -
Morning all - had a busy day yesterday with the 2 youngest DGD's but I managed to stick to my eating plan and avoided eating their leftovers (for once!). We took them on a longish walk but DH got the job of pushchair pushing so he probably burned up more calories than me, especially on the walk back uphill!
mymerrywidow I am another fruit grazer too but if I really must have something "out of a bag" I eat Aldi cheese curls rather than crisps - they have only 64 cals a packet which is even less calories than the Weightwatchers version! Plus I think they are nicer! Another good grazing item is Ryvita crackerbread - only 19 calories, but whatever you spread on them (eg jam, cheese spread) then you must virtually scrape it back off again!
Welcome nickynoo, I had a stone left to lose when I first joined this thread but I was finding it impossible to shift - I had already lost half a stone then I got stuck at 10st. It has taken me 3 months to get to 9st 4.5lbs (as of yesterday!) which may seem a long time but it's better than not getting there at all!! I think being in the "company" of like minded people and reading their hints and tips has helped a lot. So good luck to you!
Today's menu to be:
B - Porridge with raspberries
L - Chicken, new pots, HM LF cauli cheese & peas. Strawberries & FF vanilla yogurt.
D - HM Tomato & Basil soup, 5 crackerbreads with tuna & plate of salad. SF jelly, mixed berries & WW fromage frais.
S - Grapes, satsumas, nectarine.
Have a good day all."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Good morning,
Day 3 of PM and really loving it so far! I did a kettle bell workout yesterday- I've had the DVD and kettlebell for so long and never used it. So it's called Angie Millars kettle bell bootcamp and OMG I can't walk this morning or actually do very much! My whole body hurts sooooo much.
For my eats today I'm planning to have:
Breakfast: Porridge, mullerlight yog, bucket of coffee
Lunch: 2 x boiled eggs, 2x slices granery bread, apple, satsumas
Dinner: Toad n Hol, roasties, roast parsnips, veg, gravy and a HM apple & pear crumble with custard
Have a wonderful day ladies & gentlemen

So long run this eve!
B - Pear and fat free yog
L - salad
D - past I should have had last night!People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

Morning all. Some impressive weight losses mentioned here this week - well done, gang!
Unfortunately I can't add to the collective triumph, and can only report this week that I've Stayed The Same. This means that my overall result for this month has been a gain of one pound. Needless to say, this was not my July goal! Given the amount of family Birthdays we've had this month and the occasional failure even to maintain a 'just try to limit the damage' mindset, on balance I'm surprised that the damage wasn't more. I'm not pleased with where I'm 'at', but I'm not wildly unhappy with it either. I've had a lot of fun this month in exchange for that pound
It's my husband's Birthday today, the last of the season, and so I will be making the most of it tonight and then starting the new month with a clean slate tomorrow. The goal for August is to see off 5lb.
With regard to Paul McKenna, I've got his weight loss book, his 'quit smoking' book and his 'Change your life in seven days' book somewhere, as well as a 'Quit emotional spending' CD of his that I got free with a newspaper ages ago. What I need now is a 'Quit acquiring Paul McKenna stuff' bookSeriously, I do rate Paul McKenna. I wasn't really ready to quit smoking when I bought his book (and still aren't quite there), but even though it's been some time since I read his weight loss book a lot of the principles stuck ('listen to your body', 'eat only when you're hungry', 'stop when you're full' etc) and still help shape the way I approach things when not in 'self sabotage' mode. I never could get with the 'leave something on your plate' thing though - the frugalista in me would rather just take less to start with.
Of all the Paul McKenna stuff I've got, my favourite is the CD that came with the 'Change your life in seven days' book. I ought to use it more often than I do because solutions to problems I didn't even realise I had seem to just pop into my head within days of listening to it. I can't guarantee that it would have the same effect on everyone, but as luck would have it, these days it's available as a free download from his website so at least it won't cost you anything to find out

Afternoon all. Well done to all the losers.
Weigh in day today and I've lost another lb. So I'm 8st 13 now (under 9 stone for the first time in about 15 years - hurray!). I am aiming for 8 stone 7 so just another 6lbs to go.
B: Raspberries with oat bran and natural yogurt.
L: Pancake stuffed with mushrooms, spinach and garlic and topped with cheese. Very small bunch of grapes.
Snack: 5 datesCauliflower cheese topped with a crunchy cheese and breadcrumb topping. 2 rings of pineapple
I also drink 5 or 6 glasses of very weak sugar free squash every day and usually have 2 or 3 tiny skimmed milk coffees.
Exercise: I've done a 20 minute exercise DVD and will have at least a short walk later. If my dog walking friend is around we might go for a longer walk this evening.
ETA: Didn't have the pineapple this evening after all but did succumb to a piece of homemade flapjack. However, I managed a 7 mile walk afterwards which hopefully counteracted it!Weight Loss Challenge 5/7/19 10st 6lbs
