    morning all!

not doing too well here either:o been picking non-stop since the weekend.Back to work today so that should strop me hopefully. Weigh in tomorrow night and I think I've put back on what I lost last week!

I've had a boiled egg and toast so far today. Not sure what I'm having later - depends on the menu at work - I cant be ar*ed to take lunch and dinner to work with me today - I'm on an 11 till 10pm shift. I'll have a good rummage through the cupboards at work and do the best I can.

hope you all have a good day x

  • Put on 4lbs at WI last night but that was to be expected as I worked out that during my 4 days away I used all my daily points allowance just on booze!! Then ate a lot on top of that :D

Don't feel like getting back into it but must persevere!

Lost half a pound at WW last night which I was pleased with. Picked up a good tip that I am going to try this week. I have 21 points a day so I have put 21 pennies in a tin and as I use a point I take a penny out of the tin. It's just another way of thinking and as with OS getting the best value for your points. Will let you know how I get on:D

Well done Julie, and well done all the perseverers. ;)

Had a few rubbish days but have followed up with a few decent ones so it is balancing out a little now. I have had a little more exercise as it has been nice enough to go out for walks at last. And the spare room was warm enough to entice me to do a wii workout this morning too. :j

I have £15 to last me till next wednesday so at least there'll be no alcohol messing things up. Fridge is full of iceland carp though, not much veg apart from peas and carrots. Really munchy today but being driven on by how rubbish I'm feeling at this weight.

    So far had:
B: 1 weetabix with milk and splenda (150)
    L: 2 poached eggs on 2 potato waffles (400)

Tonight think I will have breaded bassa fillet, chips and peas (600)
    S: apple, pear

  • Hi
Not so good on the eating front, haven't been shopping so no fresh veg in - not good in a vegetarian household.
However I have walked to work on Tues, Wed and today - 12000 each day and yesterday I walked to town a total of 21,000 steps in all. If that doesn't help shift some of this bulk I shall be giving up and resigning myself to a large old age. Off swimming later.

lunch cheese and coleslaw on wholemeal bread.
extra - french bread and coleslaw - really like this one.
    1 apple.
dinner mac cheese.... I know too much cheese.

  • get a load of frozen veg (on for 4 for £3 at the moment) - baby carrots, baby corn, green beans, cabbage, cauliflower, brocolli, etc. and mix yourself up some microwavable portions in small plastic bags and then stick in the freezer ready to stick in a bowl and microwave for a couple of minutes. buy some chicken breasts (fresh or frozen) and again portion up into freezer bags. these can be taken out the freezer on a morning, put in the fridge and cooked in a flash when you get in from work. same goes for lean pork or beef. grow to love pulses. lentils, chick peas, etc. are all really good for you and full of protein. couscous is quick and easy and only needs a little flavouring in the form of some dried herbs, a little chilli powder and some (of your frozen) veg. tinned fish is cheap and nutricious. sardines, tuna, pink salmon - mash and mix with potato and an egg to make fishcakes. serve with veg or salad. make your own fish pie with some fish, low fat mushroom soup, topped with a little (instant?) mash. asda do vegetarian mixes (falafel, nut loaf, burger, sausage) that just need a little water adding and 10 minutes soaking. they're not brilliant, but quick, easy and nutricious. noodles? instand ones jazzed up with a little chilli and garlic. invest in some herbs, spices and olive oil. a simple pasta sauce is just some dried chillis torn into little pieces and fried with garlic in some olive oil. stir through pasta. 10 minutes from start to finish and only cost pennies.

    L: HM chilli and rice

    for me the secret is

planning - so there is never a I'm starving grab a hunk of cheese moment - so keep healthy snacks at hand an meal plan
keeping it varied - mix it up with low cal hi taste additions such as spices, chilli, herbs, exotic fruits and interesting veg
have the things you love - just less of them - denial is no good for the soul - a single scoop of ice cream, a couple of squares of choc, a handful of chips (though not all at once lol)

any why wait til monday - start now and you are 4 days closer to getting were you want to be
