Figured I better start posting again - I have 20lb to loose - 5 are gone in the last 3 weeks, aiming for 1-2lb a week.
B - shredded wheat, ss milk and a brew
S - 3 dried apricots and 6 almonds anda brew
L - spicey rice and chickpeas
S - apple anda brew
D - Lean beef stir fried with asparagus, brocolli and courgettes with small cup of basmati rice.
For me its all about portion control and stopping snacking - when I do allow myslef a snack at weekends not to go overboard with it!
Ran 1m last night - half what I am aiming for but I was short of time and wanted to run a bit faster than usual which I managed.People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

Morning all, and welcome to all new posters.
B - crust of HM granary bread with a scraping of honey
L - cream cheese and tomato sandwich; small handful of salted cashew nuts; apple
S - nectarine
D - [STRIKE]not sure yet - I might be rather un-OS and grab some ready-made veggie burgers as I don't think I'm in the mood for making some as I intended. The veggie burger (or whatever) will be eaten with salad as I've got some HG lettuces which need to be eaten before they bolt[/STRIKE]. Lemon pepper Quorn fillet(something I haven't had in years so I hope they're as good as I remember), mixed salad, a few boiled HG new potatoes
Exercise - a walk up to the shops later to sort out my broken scales: about a mile while carrying the scales.
Have a good day, all.Back after a very long break!0 -
Good morning,
Well done on all your fab weightlosses so far:T Well for me yesterday it was a disaster, I started off sooooo well too:mad: I'm currently trying to get a refund from my NHS pension contributions as I only had it for 11 months and its not worth keeping. I'd budgeted for the refund when I handed my notice in and they've done nothing bu messed me about since April:mad: Soooo after another fruitless phone call yesterday cue an overwhelming urge to comfort eat- which of course I was weak and gave in to:o But hey ho I've drawn a line under it now and today is a new day:)
So for my eats today I'm having/had :
Breakfast- porridge and a bucket of coffee
Lunch- 2 x granary bread spread with extra light laughing cow x 2
Dinner- sausages x2, mash & beans
Snacks- muller yogs, fruit and if I get round to making them twinks hobnob things !
Hope you all have a fab day.

empy, my sympathy for pension problems, I find all financial institutions so annoying I regulary get told off by DH for my bad attitude on the phone to them, comfort eating afterwards would probably be better than having to ring back because I slammed the phone down or ring back and apologise like I had to last week.:o
Yesterday was going well until I ate a scone after dinner, it was only one but I didn't need it or really want it so I might as well have put it straight in the bin. That's the problem with home baking, with only two of us there's a lot of cake to eat up. I'm practicing scones at present, never been able to get these right but found a simple recipe recently that works quite well for me and doesn't taste of baking powder. Never mind, I mowed the front lawn after and cut the edges around one third of it, (its in 3 pieces) must do the other two this evening but also in the middle of making blackcurrent jam, yummy!"doing the best you enjoy, not the best you can tolerate, is truly the best you can do sustainably."0 -
However, very exciting news, on Saturday DH dragged himself out of bed and we went to see a breeder of cocker spaniels, we expected to go on the wating list but he had a little boy puppy left from the most recent litter and we are going to have him. He's chocolate brown and we were calling him Harry, I can't wait until 14 Aug when he can come home with us:j:j:j
Am now approaching the tail end of the Birthday season in the family and so not posting too much on the thread until the end of the week, when I can see how many pounds are still lingering despite the party being over and the hostess trying to show them the doorI had to respond to the above though - I just love it. Nice one, Liz. I can remember many pages back when you were struggling with the loss of your dog and am so pleased to hear that you've got another little friend to share the love with. And all those energetic dog-walking sessions too

Well done to all those who are losing and keep positive for all those who have STS x
I had lost 6 pounds but then went to Ragdale for 2 nights and gained 2 back:mad: What is that all about? The food is supposed to be healthy but it was yummy so perhaps I overindulged ?. Anyway I have lost about a pound of that but the "witch" has just arrived so thinking it might be a bit more once that settles down. Im also at the end of a birthday festival with DS3's today and then no more cake to eat up. I do so love cake:T
Im off on my family holiday on the 8th August so would love to lose a few more pounds before then - ideally get to 9 stone 7 llbs. There is has been written down now so lets see how I get on :eek::eek:I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.0
