    Hello everyone :)

Some lovely meal plans, it is lovely this time of year for fruit and veg, makes it a bit easier.

Latest obsession, sandwhiches. Since I have learnt that the really low fat mayo I use is a high salt product, I have been thinking of alternative fillings, that are not too dry, as I leave out butter quite a lot also. It is suprisingly restricting being on a low salt regime.

Tried a cottage cheese and tuna sandwhich, no butter. It was ok but not something to shout about. It was however very filling. Going to experiment more. I have homemade soup sometimes, but a bit hot for that at mo. Avocado salad sandwhich was nice. Emmental and tomato toasted, no butter, qiute tasty. Going off foods with a long list of ingredients also, what a lot of rubbish I used to eat!

Must exercise today! Have a good day everyone. :)
Healthy eating aim per day: 3 fruits, 3 or more vegetables, 3 low-fat dairy portions, 3 starch portions, 2-3 lean protein portions.
Weekly aim: to include 2 portions of fish (one oily), some nuts, seeds, beans and pulses.

I made a minty-yoghurt dip thing a few weeks ago, to go with grilled lamb koftas in pitta breads - used 0% yoghurt, clove of grated garlic, salt and pepper plus mint coriander and chives from the garden. Lovely with the lamb, but also nice with a chopped salad as a low fat dressing, or with lean chicken and couscous as a sauce :D

Forgot to get weighed this morning, well I had been up since six coughing, I had to get out of bed and go downstairs as I was disturbing poor DH so much, never mind he is away tonight so he should sleep better and I won't have to worry about disturbing him.
Had a bean salad with sardines for lunch, with a tin of red kiddney beans and lots of chopped veg it will keep the munchies away for a good while.
Not up to much exercisewise, but if the rain stays off.... make that goes away, its just started... then I will walk to the bottom of the village this evening to try and ease back into moving.

The holiday was in a village (Gardenstown) clinging to a very steep slope and there are lots of steps, the fist few days were a killer but by the end, well the steps weren't too bad. Amazing how quickly your fitness can improve. I should make that my motivation thought for the week.

    Hi all,

Just got the chance to post. Was unexpectedly sent out on the housing estates for the day so have had lots of walking :)

Todays plan has just changed - just in time to write it, must be a sign that I need to stick to it for the rest of the night.

B - half "breakfast burrito" and cereal bar
L - other half burrito - didn't eat the second cereal bar.
EM - something from the freezer that could be quorn bolognese. It's going on a jacket potato.
Snacks - olives, peppadew and the cereal bar from lunch. (all still intact act 4.30pm)

exercise - 30 minute walk to work and the same back. 4 mi run.

Am going to stay at the fellas tonight. I've made it forefront in my mind that I always feel the need to eat naughty food when I'm there so am taking some apples, my snacks and some sugar free jelly to make up.

I must, must, must not fill my face tonight! :p

Didnt quite stick to the plan today as had lamb stew instead of chicken salad, but so far I've resisted the HM Banana Flapjack that keeps shouting at me from the fridge.

    I will resist...........

Was extremely virtuous yesterday and scales showing 10 st 0 3/4 this morning. Expect it will be up tomorrow as always have a late supper on a Wednesday.

B: 1 weetabix with SS milk, 2 coffees
L: noodles and stir fry veg
S: Vegetable soup, bread and the chips I know I will not be able to avoid. However, it will be my last time as will be preparing to return to UK next Wednesday, so will not be out.

Morning all. Oh sparrer I feel for you - you sound just like a friend of mine with COPD. She suffers more in the summer when it's pollen time and higher than average temps. And this cough that's doing the rounds is a bad one. All 3 DGD's have one and have passed it on to DH who was coughing all night long. Hope you soon feel better.

Well I managed to stick to my eating plan yesterday, despite the temptation of kids' food around, but succumbed to a couple of (large) glasses of wine in the evening - thought I had deserved them after a stressful time with the DGD's!

    Today's menu:
B - Scrambled egg on a Warburtons thin, some thin lean ham & a few TTD tinned cherry toms
L - HM Tomato & Basil soup, 5 crackerbreads with Light Laughing Cow and some salad. WW fromage frais.
D - This will be my downfall! Meeting friends for a carvery and a few (!!!) drinks - my intention is just having turkey with lots of veg (and no roast/mashed potato) but good intentions are not everything are they?! Confession time in the morning!

    Have a good day all.
