My life would be a lot easier if I could stop socialising. Added a cream biscuit, a large handful of walnuts, some popcorn, a G&T and several glasses of wine to yesterday's calorie count. Nevertheless, I find myself at 10st 2 this morning. Going out for coffee with friend, but will forego the lattes and just have Nescafe.

B: weetabix, ss milk, 2 coffees
L/D: stemed veg with lentils and gravy.

Water for the rest of the day.

Morning all. Congrats Ida Notion on the weight loss, well done. I stuck to plan yesterday but fear it will be a different story today! I have the 3 DGD's from 6.40 (aaargh!) so thought we would have a day out at Bolton Abbey, paddling, fishing, etc! I spent last evening packing sandwiches, quiches, mini pies & sausage etc for DH and the girls and a pack of WW granary sandwiches for me - ha ha, as if I can refrain from delving into the pies and sausages!!!

I tried a pair of size 12 shorts on yesterday which haven't seen the light of day for over three years AND THEY FIT!!! I am now wishing I hadn't parted with my size 12 jeans as the size 14's I replaced them with are now falling down! It's a great feeling though!!

Will have my usual porridge and mixed berries for breakfast but dread to think what I will be eating the rest of the day! Have a good day all!

    Morning all :)

Good news on the shorts fitting TA! I love it when I can get back into clothes that haven't fitted for a while. Sadly I've been going the other way for the last couple of months, so had to buy new trousers as I'd thrown away all my size 18s in an attempt to stay in 16s! didn't work, obviously :o Still, back on the diet wagon now, so hopefully will be back in those 16s by the end of the summer. :)

Dinner yesterday was chinese, mixed starters, special fried rice and salt and pepper squid, plus 3 lemonades, a cocktail and an ice cream at the theatre :o Not too bad for the rest of the day though, so I hope I evened it out.

    Today's meals:
Breakfast: Shredded wheat fruitful, SS milk and 5 dried apricots (it's not really that fruitful if I have to add more :rotfl:)
Lunch: 2 warbuton's thins sandwiches with chicken (leftover rotisserie), yoghurt (rachel's organic, mmmm)
Dinner: Beef casserole, mash and veg
    snacks: nectarine, satsumas, apple

    Morning all.

I had a bit of a tumble off the weightloss wagon last night, involving a far too large portion for dinner (the chicken and bacon sauce that was meant to do me for dinner last night and lunch today didn't make it :o) then a couple of pints of cider at the pub quiz. (I don't know why I always say I won't drink at the quiz, as I always give in to at least one to be sociable :o).

Hey ho, back on I climb:

B - two small slices HM white bread with a scraping of peanut butter and a small banana
    S - apple
L - erm... I'll have to buy something after last night's lapse. :o I'll update later with whatever it turns out to be.
    S - nectarine
D - spicy potato and feta salad; stewed plums with FF yoghurt and meringue pieces (it was a meringue nest but it got a bit battered on its journey from Approved Foods!)

Exercise - a walk up to the shops later, and a walk back with an armful of garden canes; a bit of gardening tonight tying tomato plants to said canes. :)

    Have a pleasant day, all.
Back after a very long break!

    Morning All

Didnt fall off the wagon too badly over the weekend. Thats the great thing about this hot sunny weather all I want to eat is Salad. Unfortunately also makes me want to drink ice cold Cider!

I weighed myself on my MIL scales at the weekend & I'll think I'll use hers in future as I had miraculously lost 5lbs overnight. Think I'd better do a truthful weigh in tomorrow morning.

    Today
    B - 2 slices wholmeal toast
L - Chicken Salad & low fat yoghurt
    D - Minute Steak & more salad

Yay - well done, TA!! I've got a size 14 shirt on this morning that was still undeniably snug around the middle three weeks ago, and I was hoping to find just a little bit more room in it this morning. There's bags of space in it now - if I undo the front buttons I can overlap the edges by about four or five inches :j

Up on the top shelf of my wardrobe are three piles of folded size 10 jeans, which was my normal size up until I hit 40 and decided for some unfathomable reason that I should be sitting around binge eating and wearing tents every day, and next to these are a couple of pairs of size 12s (I can't believe I used to call these my 'fat' jeans  ) waiting for the day to come when I'd have got my act together and could fit into them again. They've only been lying there for five years :o

My 14s have been too big for weeks now, but the 12s are still too small. I did try one of the 12s on about three weeks ago too (have you ever heard a pair of jeans laughing at a bad joke, because I think I might have done :rotfl:) and am inspired now to put them down with the rest of my clothes as soon as my vertically challenged self finds out who's pinched my step stool. I think I'll try them on every weigh day now, either for my encouragement or their amusement, one or the other :)

Update - lunch was most of a smoked mackerel and couscous salad ('most' because the main salad veg turned out to be celery, which I can't stand, and beetroot, which I can't eat - it would help if I learnt to read labels before buying things! :o), with a small packet of veggie crackers and a bottle of berry juice.

StickyNikki - I so know what you mean about the cider - there's few things nicer than a glass of cold cider while sitting outside in the sunshine. Sigh - back to work!

Hello all. Have been MIA for a a while as I lent my laptop to my Mum (in bed with a slipped disk) and haven't managed to get past DH long enough to get on the PC. Looks like you are all doing really well, will catch up properly later.

June total was 2lb loss, lowest weight being 12st 4.5lb (I blame giving up smoking and not running as much, it should have been more)

Target for July will be to be 12st 3lb or less, a low target as we also have a LOT of birthdays this month. Already had a takeaway night and a barbecue, another takeaway tonight (curries) and off for a meal at a chinese buffet on Sunday so there will be a lot of damage limitation on the other days.

Have totally messed up my running programme, had a bad run where mp3 player broke and I had a bug and since then I've not been able to get back into it. My super-running friend has promised to come with me and spur me on so that should help, if we ever get a chance. Haven't been doing Wi-fit either as I've been at my Mum's a lot looking after her when I would have been at home.

I have actually put on 2lb over the weekend :o but I'm hoping that will go over the next few days. I'm really noticing that stopping smoking is making me snack more, but I shouldn't blame that lol I'm sure it's just me making excuses.

MUST TRY HARDER I am NOT ready to plateau yet!

IdaNotion I'm at the 14's a touch too big stage... I tried on my skinny jeans the other day (a size 10/small 12) I got them done up but I am VERY glad no one was around to see! If you've ever let the bread dough rise too long in the tin you'll know what I looked like! (I need to lose a whole stone and more to get into them again!
I bought some 12s on ebay but although I can do them up I'd not be comfy in them. Another half a stone and I'll be in them.

    Good afternoon all!

Posting a bit late today it has been a Manic Monday on the phonelines at work! On the plus side it has kept my mind off food! :)

Well done on everybody's sucess and to those who fell off the wagon (including me) you only fall off as far as your next meal not the next day (unless the next meal is breakfast ha ha)

I finally got round to weighing myself and have lost 1.5 woo! I'm now at my "sticking weight" i.e. the weight I can never seem to get below no matter how hard I try! On the positive side my UK athletics license came through and I am now officually licensed to take beginner running groups out and train them up - Now I have to keep up with my own running!

Today looks a bit like this..

B - 1/2 wrap with low fat philly and two egg omlette with lots of chilli salt and a cereal bar.
L - the other half of the above and another cereal bar.
T - not christened. Was going to be red pepper pasta but won't get in until 7pm from work and have nothing quick in - it's payday next week so unless the healthy eating fairy turns up it might be toast :)

exercise - half an hour power walk at lunch time.
