Morning everyone and welcome StickyNikki. I ate to plan yesterday so that was good, but ended the evening with a large glass of red wine, so that wasn't so good!! Why do I succumb to these things as I only end up beating myself up next morning for having no willpower! Oh well, new day, new month so on we go and as it's weigh day tomorrow must stick to plan and avoid the wine:
B - Porridge with mixed berries
L - Toasted LF muffin topped with tinned TTD cherry toms & sprinkle of LF grated cheese. Thin lean ham & micro'd mushrooms. WW fromage frais.
D - Maybe a tuna steak with salad & new pots. Meringue nest with mixed berries & blob of FF yogurt.
Snacks the usual mix of fruit.
No doubt I shall be back on crying tomorrow morning when I haven't lost anything this week! Have a good day all."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -

Good morning all, and welcome to StickyNikki. :hello:
I had my weekly weigh-in this morning and I've put on 0.3kg - that's so little I'm not sure if it means anything, so it's probably more accurate to say I'm STS again this week, for the third week in a row. That's not really surprising as my commitment to weightloss has been less than devoted recently - it's now time to get firmly back on track!
I seem to do better with something to aim for, so my target for this month is to reach 84kg, from my current 85.7kg (or 86kg this morning) - that's only about 1/2kg (1lb) a week, which should be perfectly doable if I get my brain (and other parts of my anatomy) in gear.
Today goes:
B - four toasted crumpets with a scraping of HM raspberry jam; banana
S - small pack of nuts and dried fruit
L - veg satay noodles (I made extra last night so I could have some for lunch)
S - apple
D - spicy beefburger with HM guacamole and a large mixed salad; NO alcohol!
BTW, TA - your lunch sounds . I'll definitely have to try that one one day!Back after a very long break!0 -

CCP - yes I enjoy too but it has to be Sainsbury's tinned Taste the Difference Pomodorini cherry tomatoes! No others have the same intense flavour!
ps an afterthought!! When all the tomatoes have been eaten, I store the surplus juice in a container in the freezer and when I have enough I use it to make my Basil & Tomato soup along with passata."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Hello everyone
Ooooh families...enough said.
Yesterdays weigh-in: sts. Well thats ok since I have lapsed seriously with the exercise.
However, very pleased to say that my waist size has decreased! The welcome pack from the British Heart Foundation (thanks again Little Moog) arrived yesterday. So I measured up using the tape sent and I was most shocked to see a two inch decrease. That puts me out of the red zone (high health risk), and into the pink zone (increasing health risks). Next stop the white zone where it should say 'Well done', but doesn't, I may write it on myself.
Have a good day everyone and a positive weekendHealthy eating aim per day: 3 fruits, 3 or more vegetables, 3 low-fat dairy portions, 3 starch portions, 2-3 lean protein portions.
Weekly aim: to include 2 portions of fish (one oily), some nuts, seeds, beans and pulses.0 -
Morning all!
Not been a great day yesterday...
I have a very stressful job (complaints line for council housing - I'm sure you can imagine) And despite us all working 40+ hours a week due to someone leaving we have been told they won't be replaced and the extra hours are permament (no pay rise though
) which we were all upset and angry about
There was cake in the office and I was working till six, I hadn't had a lunch break and was miserable so....
My mum then called and asked if I wanted to go to the pub for tea...
It's only a day so back on the wagon but mum has invited me for tea and is making my favourite for me because I'm sad, bless her. Keeping to my normal diet today and then having cauliflower cheese for tea at mums.
Does anyone have any tips on Emotional eating? I'm finding I'm not able to seperate my work and home life any more but until I find another job I'm stuck with it. I seem to always be angry sad or stressed and turning to comfort foods he he0 -
have had a VERY naughty day today
B - scrambled eggs with mini multi-grain tortillas
S - chocolate muffin, treacle toffee, bakewell slice
L - mushroom pasta, handful crisps, another piece of treacle toffee
D- (met with work colleague for early tea) deep-fried almond-crusted brie (shared), goat's cheese wellington with minted crushed potatoes, lemon curd ice-cream (plus a spoonful of friend's banoffee pie)0 -
Was good yesterday. Substituted one of the salads for an onion omlette. No alcohol, which always helps. This morning 10st 3 1/4.
B: last of muesli with SS milk and 2 coffees
L: Saladsteamed veg
Must try to get more exercise in today.sloan SKI-ers Club #10 :j0 -
Good morning all - well I have just been on the scales for my weekly weigh-in and am amazed!!! 9st 6.5lbs! So against all the odds I have managed to lose 1.5lbs this week! I am happy with that as there have been quite a few falls off the wagon! Only (only ha ha!!) another 6.5lbs and I am back at my pre-stopping-smoking weight. I put it on quickly enough when I gave up but it has taken a L-O-N-G time to get it back off again!
The coming week will be a tester though - have the DGD's three full days (kiddie food to try and avoid!), a girls night out for a meal/drinks on Wednesday and a day out shopping with a friend (which will involve lunch!) So I don't expect to lose at all next week - as long as I don't gain!
Today's menu (and the loss has encouraged me to be good!):
B - Porridge with mixed berry compote (finally got around to making more little pots to freeze)
L - A toasted Warburtons thin (only 100 cals and lovely!) with a scrambled egg, thin ham and TTD tinned cherry tomatoes. WW layered berry fromage frais & SF jelly
D - Scampi in a light crumb, salad and HM wedges. Strawberries & blueberries topped with a WW choc dessert.
S - melon, cherries, satsuma, grapes.
Have a good day/weekend everyone. Perfect weather up here for a tramp over the moors to see if the bilberries are near to ready for picking. I have been a bit lax with exercise recently."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0
