morning all
feeling a bit better today, thanks for all the well wishes. Still off work, but expect I'll go back tomorrow.
Dinner last night was chicken fajitas, but we only used 2 wraps each instead of normal 3, plus ff fromage frais instead of 1/2 fat creme fraiche, which really isn't as healthy as I was kidding myself
meals today:
breakfast: 1 slice WM toast and LF spread, 1 tbsp peanut butter, glass SS milk
Lunch: HM minestrone soup
Dinner: undecided again! we're trying to use up all the stuff in the freezer so I can defrost it, so dinners are all stuff from there atm! Will go and have a hunt in a min.
snacks: apple, satsumas, low cal ice lollyLittle monkey born November 2012:jFroglet due March 20160 -

Evening all! Just coming back on here hoping to get a bit of incentive not to ransack the fridge this evening!! Evening really is my worst time for picking (well the whole day is bad really but evenings are even worse!!) Miraculously I have stuck to plan today (so far!) and snacks have been restricted to cherries, grapes and satsumas as I promised myself! There is a half bottle of wine calling me from the kitchen but I am not listening!!
Welcome to Shellyphant, if you have any low cal/low fat/low sugar highly filling recipes to share then I would be grateful! I am really missing giant platefuls of food! I hope you are not feeling too bad after all your dentistry work. I once had root canal work done and was absolutely dreading it but it turned out not as bad as I had feared."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Today
Food
8am - 2 slices toast and Jam
10.30am - Welshcake (no butter, which was hard as they taste gorgeous with butter!)
11.30am - Lentil and carrot soup, half a bread roll and butter.
4pm - Milkyway
4.30pm - Skinny Lat!
8pm - Baked hake, new potatoes, HG salad leaves and peas. (salad dressing with olive oil and butter on potatoes as I'd had a fairly low fat day and fat is of course needed to adsorb the fat soluble vitamins)
20 minutes swimming energetically - as opposed to the chubby guy who kept jumping into the middle of the pool while I was doing lengths... not gonna lose weight that way! He'll probably go home thinking his half hour of belly flops means he's had exercise so can now have an extra pie... (that's mean I know, but really everyone else was doing lengths and he kept hurling himself into the middle of the pool, splashing us all and creating sizeable waves)June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

evening all
have made a decision not to weigh myself until a week on friday, its just too depressing to see the scales going up and don and up and down ...............
have done ok today, have had:
2 x wm toast with spread and primula
cous cous with loads of veg & olives
big (400g ) pack of watermelon....twas delicious though
special k bar
grilled chicken breast & salad (toms, peppers, olives, apple, celery & rocket)
couple of prunes & a couple of picked at slices of wafer thin ham
think thats it.
plan for tomorrow is:
toast as always
cous cous with veg & olives again
cherries
chicken fajita with 1/2 fat creme fraishe & salad
will no doubt have a snack at 'tea time' as my dinner will be late. will be swimming in evening.
hope you are all well.................step away from that fridge!

Morning all. Well the half bottle of wine finally called out loudly enough last night and I ended up drinking it. This morning I feel full of remorse and wish I had shoved it in a cupboard out of sight. I have just sorted out today's eats:
B - Toasted LF muffin with a scrambled egg, a bit of lean, thin ham and some mushrooms cooked in water in microwave.
L - Left over chicken breast in WW granary bread with some salad. WW berry fromage frais.
D - A few Crackerbreads with Light Laughing Cow - to sustain me till evening when I am off to a friend's retirement do - where I will no doubt be forced to eat copious amounts of food and be plied with wine. Oh how I wish you could buy willpower!
Have a good day all."If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Morning all!
Thanks for the warm welcome. The dentist didn't go too well... They couldn't put me under as I had a cold so agreed to do one yesterday and one in two weeks. I asked her to check a tooth which was really sensitive and it turns out that ALSO needs one! One down and three to go ha ha.
I'm having a light day today. I was really angry with the hubby last night and instead of shouting at him down the phone I ate a load of rubbish instead. It's all gone in the diary though and I'll reduce my intake until I've worked it off.
Todays food is...
B - 1/2 wrap made with eggs and philly and a nature valley bar.
L - rest of wrap and some special K nibbles.
T - Cowboy beans and sausages from my freezer meal stash (recipe below)
Snacks - apples (if the teeth are ok!)
Cowboy beans
very filling and makes six generous portions. Freezes very well. Next time I make it I intend to leave out the sausages and just cook the beans then serve each portion with some veggie meatballs for a calorie/point saving.
12 veggie sausages halved longways.
3 onions, diced
3 peppers, any colour, diced
3 x 420g cans red kidney beans, drained
440g jar pasta sauce
1 tbsp english mustard
2 tbsp honey- Heat oven to 200C
- fry onions and peppers in spray oil until softened.
- Tip everything into a casserole dish and mix well
- lay sausages on top and bake for 30 minutes.
