Finaly back after a lovely holiday on the north east coast of Scotland, not bad for weather, lovely local pub (2 halves of Belhaven a night no so good! but its a holiday!) Then we came back and I got a really bad cold which has gone on my chest, I was so ill last week and the only relife was lying in the garden this weekend. I am now on the mend, just passed the please shoot me stage but still not up to much. The house is a real mess, I will have to join the Flylady thread.
Just trying to think what to do with the smoked hadock I got out of the freezer this morning, kedgeree, fish cakes or just poached with cheese sauce? Perhaps it wasn't such a good idea as it is a wonderful hot day here and I think something cold with salad would be more appropriate.
TravellingAbuela, I hope you have had a great time a Bolton Abby with the DGD's, we used to go there as kids for exactly the same thing, picnic, paddling and fishing, playing on the stepping stones and walking in the woods. I wish I was there.
Must weigh myself tomorrow and see where I am starting from this month."doing the best you enjoy, not the best you can tolerate, is truly the best you can do sustainably."0 -

Morning everybody. Well as expected I fell off the wagon big style yesterday! Our picnic at Bolton Abbey with the DGD's went well - they enjoyed the day and we were left exhausted - and I joined in with eating the pies, sausages and other goodies! I knew I wouldn't be able to resist! But surely the exercise of chasing around after three under 6's did some good too!!
We have them again today but the eldest is back at school so only (!!) two under 3's to entertain. Staying local so no picnics involved today, so back on the wagon I go!! Today's menu (and I WILL stick to it!) is:
B - Porridge with mixed berry compote
L - Ravioli & Salad. WW fromage frais & sliced banana.
D - Smoked haddock, HM wedges and more salad. Meringue nest, mixed berries & FF yogurt.
S - Melon, grapes, cherries.
Have a good day all. Well done Ida Notion it's a great feeling getting into smaller clothes again. I just have one pair of size 12 jeans (cropped ones) that I hung on to so my aim is to get back into those! But they are a small 12 unfortunately, more like a 10 so am asking a lot of myself I think!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -

That sounds like such fun - one of those times you'll look back on years later and weight loss won't even enter your head. It would probably have been inappropriate not to fall off the wagon
I got into my size 12 black 'eighties blazer last night. I know we're hardly talking a 'fitted' style garment here (think 'Miami Vice'!), but I'm kind of fond of it. I've had it since I was expecting my eldest in 1988 and I was still wearing it years later until I tried it on one day and realised that I'd put on so much weight that the tightness in the shoulders meant I'd only be able to wear it if I walked round with my arms stuck out like a plane taxi-ing for take-off. It's good to have it back again.
Speaking of pregnancies from decades ago, I found two of my old maternity record cards yesterday and am considering revising my target weight upwards just a little bit after reading them. Apparently I was 9st 5lb when I found out I was expecting the first, and 9st 1lb when I discovered I was expecting his brother a year later. I don't remember thinking of myself as fat at the time, and I don't remember anyone else mentioning it either, so I might split the difference and aim for 9st 3lb. On the other hand, this could be one of my famous 'Hand Crafted And Genuine Excuses' in the making
PS. Ragz - it's good to have you back. I was considering sending out a search partyFreddie Starr Ate My Signature

Morning all.
I was a bit naughty again last night - I felt really hungry when I got home from work and it was too early for dinner, so I ate the crust of the bread with lots of butter. It was delicious, but that's hardly the point, is it?
Today will be:
B - small portion of muesli with LF natural yoghurt and some stewed plums (plus one of the cloves I used to flavour the plums and which I didn't notice until I bit into it _pale_)
S - small banana
L - LO spicy potato and feta salad (and very spicy it is too - I think I overdid the spices a touch!)
S - apple
D - Spanish sausage casserole (sausages in a spicy tomato sauce, which I'll bulk out with plenty of veg); chunk of bread (no butter!); glass of apple juice
Exercise - I need to go the shops at lunchtime so I'll be good and walk to the more distant ones, which are about a mile away. :A
Have a good day, all, and get well soon, shezam and sparrer.Back after a very long break!0
