Wow newlywed 7lbs lost! That's excellent! That was my (rather ambitious) target for May but doubt I shall hit it! I shall get weighed in the morning after the full month is up! Ida Notion - that's a good tip I haven't heard before. I stuck a most unflattering photo of me, taken on the beach, on the fridge door but even that didn't stop me raiding it and in the end I binned it!!
Stuck well to plan yesterday, though I think I did eat rather too many grapes whilst watching BGT (sad or wot?!) and they do contain a lot of sugar! Anyway, menu for today:
B - Benefit flakes, small sliced banana and sk milk
L - 3 slices Nimble granary toast, topped with Sainsbury TTD tinned cherry toms & tiny sprinkle of HF cheese, then popped under grill. Big bowl
of salad. Cadburys lite choc mousse (my daily fix) with raspberries.
D - Pasta, very, very lightly coated in HM mushroom & bacon sauce with another bowl of salad. Meringue nest, mixed berries, SF jelly & FF yogurt
S - Satsumas and grapes. I can't believe how easily I have cut back on the evening glasses of wine, that in itself must be doing some good!
It's a lovely day for a change, blue sky all the way, so the twice postponed gardening WILL get done this morning and, hopefully, a tramp over the moors this afternoon. Any exercise should help! Have a good day everybody!"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Morning all
Starting again as I have reached a plateau after 16lb weight loss. I know I am using too much olive oil so that has to be cut by half. I don't eat bread or dairy products and take some soya milk at breakfast. I do add far too much soya spread to my baked potato and too much low calorie mayonnaise to my tuna mix.
So this morning going to have 28g porridge (dry) normally having at least double that and we will see what the rest of the day brings. Thanks to all posters for your tips and inspiration.

Morning all from sunny Malmo! Just wating to be picked up for an exciting day seeing customers, I hope! There seems to have been a gap in communications somewhere.
Yesterday the only excersise I got was a 5min fast hike at the airport and same dragging a suitcase to my hotel in Malmo. Never mind I did lose 1lb last week so hurrah!
Need to watch the meals, will be taken out to lunch which will be three courses so will need to chose evening meal carefully.

Morning all.
Well, I paid for my naughty beefburger dinner last night - I woke up in the early hours of this morning feeling seriouslyand have only just started to feel vaguely human again. That'll learn me!
Today goes:
B - none, not surprisingly
S - pack of savoury seeds
L - smoked salmon sarnie (oddly, I tend to start craving fish when I'm feeling off colour)
S - small bowl of stewed pears and cranberries
D - not sure yet - possibly a slice of HM quiche with various salady bits, although that may well change
Exercise - I may try and do some light gardening later if a) I feel well enough and b) the threatened thunderstorm doesn't materialise.
I hope everyone else is feeling / doing OK.
newlywed - :T
ragz - I'm glad you had a nice (if stressful) time campingBack after a very long break!0 -
Hello all. Dont you just feel that we could all so quickly start a thread about all the good things to eat and how to bake them to make them even nicer! (I love HM quiche!)
I was poorly on Saturday, so little to confess, Sunday ok, and back to normal yesterday. Did lots of walking and moving, lifting and carrying helping various bods to move furniture and pack for trips abroad. I was shattered by the evening!
Todat Bfast - quorn bacon and egg
Lunch - mixed pasta salad
Tea - veggie and tuna bake
Snack - none so far but I did notice a small cherry cake had made its way into my lunchbox from my baking at the weekend....

Newlywed :T Well done for reaching the 7lb target! (Didnt think any of us were going to make it!) Congratulations :j
I'll weigh in the morning, hoping for at least another lb off, which will still bring me no where near the 7lb but still good progress for the stage I'm at.
Haven't had a chance to run since Thursday so hoping I can get out today or tomorrow. Really wishing I could run away righ tnow the kids are driving me completely crazy, Have already taken them to the park this morning and I have to drop them at granny's later so I can food shop and take eldest swimming but I've had enough already, very stressed!:mad:June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Hi All - well done newlywed and well done anyone who has lost weight too.
I have good and bad news, good is I have another job starting in July, bad news is that the extended weekend drinking and meals out mean I'm nowhere even close to my 7lb challenge......
I will be walking to work from July but will also be closer to shops so quick / junk food resistance (sp?) is going to be tough!
Also I won't have time to come on here so often
I might try the paperclip idea though and TA I loved the poem.
All the best to you new and old, I shall try and keep up but won't be as regular as I have been.
Today:
B: smoothie
L: left over roast
S: yogurt with sweetened fatcrumbled in
goodness knows but the fridge is packed due to it being pay day on friday :j

Oops. I was so busy feeling sorry for myself this morning that I forgot to weigh myself to see what my final weight for the May challenge was.
Yesterday I was 85.7kg, down from 90kg at the start of the month, which would count as a resounding success except that I'm now not sure how accurate my start weight actually was (it was taken from my old, rather dodgy scales). I'm counting it as target met, though, I think.
mlz - many congrats on your new job. :T I hope it all goes perfectly for you.
sams - HM quiche - oh yes, I quite agree. I made mine last month and had to freeze the last three slices to stop myself pigging the lot. You've definitely decided me that that's what I'm going to have for dinner.

As mentioned a few posts back, I went to see my mum today, who can be guaranteed to ask if I've lost weight whenever I see her, even though I never have and have often even gained. Now that I've actually lost some, for the first time in living memory she didn't ask at all
I didn't have breakfast today, partly because I don't usually bother anyway (naughty, I know) and partly because it's my mum's main mission to stuff us all to capacity whenever we show up and I wasn't sure what the damage would be. In the event, it could have been a lot worse...
Lunch: Turkey salad, with some low fat mayo and two big but thinnish slices of home made bread.
Dinner/Tea: Roast potatoes, savoury mince, green beans and roast butternut squash. I love butternut squash but don't eat it here because I'm the only one that likes it, so my mum nearly always has it on offer for me when the family gets together. At this point I'd have stopped if I was at home, but out came some packets of small muffins. I'm not wildly keen on muffins, but ate one just because I knew it would make her happy and it's not as if it's something I'm obliged to do every day. Once they were gone, out came the grapes. I'm very keen on these, but was so full up by then I managed... one. A pathetic performance on my partFortunately youngest son helped out by swooping in and grabbing the rest of the bunch with all the grace of a vulture in full flight. The sacrifices that lad makes for his mother
Exercise so far has been precisely nothing, but I'm about to venture up to Asda - where the Magical Oopsie Hour should still be in progress - for some more competitive unarmed combat over the chiller cabinet. "To the victor, the spoils!" Or the yellow stickers at leastFreddie Starr Ate My Signature
