Lunch was 3/4 of a ham sandwich, some raspberries and strawberries and a shape zero yogurt.
Then I had a Cornetto. Well I had earned it, walking around with the kids for hours and I WILL do my run tonight (out of practice now it's been nearly a week so it may not go well!).
Roast chicken for dinner with carrots, potatoes, parsnips (all roasted in frylight) and cabbage (no butter today)
Well done Financiallygaga that's a really good loss for someone that close to goal!June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

~Hello all,
Im trying to lose weight, and hopefully do it the os way !, could you give me any ideas on cheap breakfasts and lunches?
I did join a slimming club, but the weekly cost and all the extra bits i brought aswell to go with the diet is just costing me too much.
We make our hm bread, hubby brought a slicer and he does it really thin now which means i can have 2 slices, cos i just hate that slimming bread stuff eugh !

I had a bit of an eye-opener today. I use Microsoft Money '99 (it still does what I want from it and I've never felt the need to upgrade, especially since '99 was the last version that didn't insist you keep your financial data online ), and on running the report generated for May this morning I discovered that I spent 22% less on groceries last month. Considering all that's really changed is me cutting back on grub, that's shocking.
I had a bit of a de-junk of my wardrobe earlier, and found that I am already beginning to fit into some of my old favourites again, though I could still do with the fit being a bit less closeI also found a big fleecy leopardskin patterned dressing gown of the soft and snuggly type, which has never been worn apart from the first time I tried it on and turned to see a 5'3" spotted !!!!!! staring at me from the mirror. I wouldn't even have let a member of my own family see me in it at the time, but I actually look human in it now.
Welcome to Bella79I can't help in the cheap breakfast and lunches department as I seldom eat breakfast, and lunch is often a variant of something involving crackers and cheese spread or crab paste (I'm a bit of a crab paste junkie) with some fruit chucked in. Others on the thread will doubtless have bundles of ideas for you - it's pretty much populated by geniuses

Hi All
I haven’t posted for a few days….I’ve been in denial following a massive pig out on Monday…but I’ve put it behind me now and have managed to get a couple of good days under my belt so feeling a bit more in control again
Today
B – Porridge
L – Paprika chicken salad
S – Apple
D - 2 egg omelette with ham, peppers, mushrooms and onions + 4 Ryvita
I would like to join the June challenge if that’s ok and will set myself a goal of 7lbs.
I checked my BMR yesterday and it’s quite clear that I’m not going to see any significant weight loss without doing some sort of exercise….the problem is that I have absolutely zero motivation get off my backside
Ida – I just love the paperclip idea…mine are now hanging from my mirror as a reminder each time I try to shoehorn myself into clothes that are blatantly too small!!
Good luck to everyone in achieving your goals in June...lets hope we all have a good oneLBM Aug '07 Debt [STRIKE]£52,615[/STRIKE] DEBT FREE Aug '12 :jCap One CC £[STRIKE]5000[/STRIKE]/£0 - HSBC CC £[STRIKE]7500[/STRIKE]/£0 - HSBC Loan £[STRIKE]12,225[/STRIKE]/£0M&S CC £[STRIKE]11,500[/STRIKE]/£0 - Egg CC £[STRIKE]8750[/STRIKE]/£0 - Sains CC £[STRIKE]3000[/STRIKE]/£0HMRC £[STRIKE]3140[/STRIKE]/£0 - OD £[STRIKE]1500[/STRIKE]/£0Pay off ALL your debt by Xmas 2012 £14,128/£14,128 :j0 -

Depending on her current weight (which is where BMR comes into it) that's not actually too bad, I'd maybe throw in some nuts/seeds with the porridge (made with semi skim milk) and another serving of fruit and perhaps a yogurt for the second snack as it only listed one. May2013 didn't say what the salad consisted of, the lunch should have included some complex carbs. But it's not too much too low in calories.
Back from my run, really feeling it but I did manage the full second half of it uphill this time whereas last time I had to turn back to go downhill again and felt like I'd cheated! Definitely feeling fitter each session, which makes up for only having lost 4lb odd this month: at the beginning of May I was struggling with the 1 minute runs and now I'm managing 5 so I have my motivation back now!June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

Thanks May2013 for mentioning BMR. For those interested it is your Base Metabolism Rate, the amount of calories you need in a day for your body to perform its normal functions. (This does not include any exercise). Everyone's is different depending on weight (higher) and age (lower). You can use this to work out how many calories you need in a day (including activity) and then use that to work out how many you need to lose weight. I don't personally count calories but I still find things like this can be insightful when looking at your food intake proportionally. If I know my calorie intake needs to decrease by 10% to lose X amount in x amount of then I can eat 10% less.
Link for the day BMR calculator you can then find out how many calories you need to lose weight but you will need a pen and paper to keep track of the figures. It's not complicated though and I found this site really interesting.June Grocery Challenge £493.33/£500 July £/£500

i am back from the gym! :hello:
did 40min treadmill and i actually enjoyed it. i never do that one really (more like crosstrainer or bike or rowing)
then some weights and stretching!
now i am having my breakfast with a cup of coffee and 2 slices wm bread with ham and toms and peppers (slightly buttered)
oh, had my weigh in today (on wednesdays) and lost 1kg :T:j (from last week) - that's 5.2kg in total since i started 22 weeks ago! (that's 11.5lbs)
did lots of studying yesterday and resisted (!) all the munching during it! don't know why but usually i sit down with lots to drink and eat when i am about to study?!?!?
had chicken sausages and roast pots with a salad for dinner!
got up at 6am because 'someone' (evil look to dh) didn't let me sleep. he kept jumping around in the bed and snoring!!!!
according to him HE didn't get any sleep ... so unless he snores when he's awake - guess again!!!
