Weigh-in this morning, and Week 3 saw off 1.75lb :jThis brings the total loss to 9.25lb, and I now weigh 11st 13.75lb. I know I said I was hoping to be 'eleven stone something' this week, but if I'm honest it would have been nice to have cleared the goal with enough room not to risk bursting back through it just by putting toenail polish on :rotfl:Still, it's just a number, the trend is a downward one, so I'm happy.

Special thanks to whoever it was mentioned Krackerbread. I used to like these so much when they'd show up round the house when I was younger that I hadn't even realised they were 'diet food' and made by Ryvita until I went scouring the shelves of Asda for some this week (and by happy coincidence, they were on offer in Tesco if you bought three packets - Tesco is too far away for me, but their offer can have an impact on the bill if you're using the Asda Price Guarantee thingy). Three Krackerbread with a Laughing Cow Lite split and plastered between them comes in at just eighty-five calories, and they're quite filling and tasty calories too, which can eaily be supplemented with fruit or salad without bolstering your poundage.

I'm not expecting much in the way of results from the forthcoming week as the kids are on half term, so I won't be having the usual walk to school and back and have already indulged in trifle yesterday after my husband made some with my youngest 'to keep her busy'. School holidays also mean a family get-together at my mum's one afternoon. I can guarantee she'll ask me if I've lost weight because she always does, even when I'm stacking it on. She's been a 'lifestyle dieter' for at least fifteen years, and food will be a kind of condensed version of her typical monthly intake - tasty and nutritious low-fat grub followed shortly after by the appearance of bags of fun-size chocolate bars and cake. Sigh.... :)

Have a good week, everyone. We can do it :T

P.S. I found this last night and meant to post it. A lot of it is common sense, but there are some useful and interesting bits in there...

Tenth Anniversary I've been Money Tipped!
I'd like to join all of you here. I've tried, and had some success before losing weight with weight watchers. However, firstly it's expensive. Secondly most of the meetings I've tried they talk about new low points products which didn't sit well with me - I prefer to cook my food and avoid preservatives, etc... So old style it is! It's Sunday 29th. I'm going away in 5 weeks, just down the country, but I'd like to have lost 7 lb by then. My longer term objective is to lost 35 lb by Christmas. This gets me close to a BMI of under 30.

    So far today:
Bran flakes + Low fat milk
    Snack (apple)
Beans on toast (home made with cannellini beans with tomato/garlic/pesto/h.m. yogurt)
Eating dinner in my Mum's this evening and birthday celebration.

    Objectives for week 1
    - Go for a walk every day, ideally lunch time
    - Bring lunch in to work 4/5 days
    - No scones at morning coffee - bring in some fruit with home made yogurt
    - No choc or sweets in work (I work in a hospital with a constant supply of choc from patients beside me!)

Wish me luck, more appropriately wish me will power! :o

Wishing you luck, FrugalWorker, but I don't think you'll need it. You have a plan, and that's often half the battle :)

    Sweetened fat….Ida that’s brilliant!!!

mOZzy – I had an apple before bed which helped to take the edge off my cravings and the ‘sweetened fat’ is still hiding in the tea towel drawer so I can be pretty confident that I didn’t go walkies in the night :)

Welcome Frugal - I'm still new to this thread but finding it really helpful, I'm sure you will too.

My food diary looks dreadful today…been here there and everywhere without the chance to eat…then pigged out on roasties (rubbish!!)
    B – none
    L – packet of crisps
D – Chicken casserole, roast potatoes (too many :(), 1 yorkshire pud, broccoli, cauliflower, carrots

Tomorrow I’m off to Wembley and intend to enjoy the occasion to the max ;) so unlikely to have a good day on the food front....there will be lots of walking though so hopefully I can burn off some of the calories.

Hope you all have a great BH Monday x

I'm going to have to make a plan - my wedding dress fitting is on June 29th, and I'd like to lose a stone/14lbs by then!:eek:

    So, I intend to:
    - eat no chocolate, crisps, biscuits, cakes or sweets
    - exercise for at least 30 mins, 3 times a week (if not more)
    - (or try to) eat at least 3 portions of fruit/veg a day, if not 5
    - eat breakfast every day
    - not eat unless I'm hungry, even at meal times
    - not eat out of boredom/stress/anger/feeling crap

    Wish me luck.....!

Welcome Frugal :wave:sounds like you're well on track
Thanks for the idea Ida, I'm not fussed about chocolate but ice-cream is my big failing. I've got W@lls low fat in the freezer so I'll look on it as scoops of lard. If I can....:o
slowlyfading good luck but 2lb a day could be pushing it just a tad too much! ;)

    Not too bad today,

B - Muller and an apple
L - skinless roast chicken, roast potato, parsnip and onion in frylight, broad beans and carrots. No pud as that was really filling
Supper - will be a bowl of F&F with sk milk
Snacks - grapes, satsuma, 1/4 melon, banana

Usual gallons of tea with sk milk

Morning all. Welcome Frugal Worker. I was on a downer yesterday after putting a pound back on last week (to be honest I didn't expect to lose but nor did I expect to gain!!) but, nevertheless, I stuck to plan yesterday and nothing naughty passed my lips, honest! I shall get weighed again Wednesday morning to see what my total May loss was!! For exercise yesterday I was going to do the garden but, by the time the rain stopped, I couldn't be bothered starting and had my nose in a book instead!

Maybe today (once the rain stops!) I will get the gardening done! Meanwhile here's my eating plan for today:
B - Porridge with mixed berry compote
L - HM Soup, bowl mixed salad (LF dressing) 5 crackerbreads topped with tuna. Cadbury's light choc mousse & strawberries.
D - Piece gammon, poached egg, grilled tomatoes, few HM wedges. Meringue nest, raspberries & blueberries, FF fromage frais.
S - the usual grapes and satsumas. Maybe a bag of Aldi cheese curls if I am desperate to pick at something!

Have a good day everybody and hope the weather is better where you are!
