yeah right, there goes my well laid out eating plan for today

had said 2 eggs on 2 wm toasts

went to my friends house and luckily no pizza and i did resist all the nibbles; just a tiny ham sandwich and some melon ... and then they brought out the cake  - it was super yummy and fluffly and not sweet and niiiiiiiiice - had 3 pieces :o (kids size but still!!)

full now so can skip the fruits and dinner will be in an hour anways.
pasta is cooking; beef casserole will go on in a minute too

May2013 Sorry, my post should have read 1200 not 1500 (edited now). You're right though, about averaging it over the week rather than by the day, so I apologise for the lecture :)

No need to apologise ragz I didn't see it as a lecture - it's exactly the type of advice I came here for :)

Had a good day yesterday, more salad, chicken, small portion pasta, tuna, apple and pear (no breakfast)

Weigh day today and I've lost 1lb :D. It's going to be a very challenging weekend ahead, lots planned where food and drink are sure to feature heavily....let's see how I get on :o

Not sure what I'll be eating today so will update this evening...hope you all have a good day x

Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
    Morning all.

Congrats to everyone who's lost this week, and to everyone who hasn't as well. :)

I had my weekly weigh in this morning and I've lost a massive 3.7kg - that's 8 and a bit pounds.:shocked::eek::eek::j:j etc etc.

...of course I haven't really lost that amount - I don't think you can lose that much in a week without amputating an arm or something - I've just got new scales. ;) I'm fairly sure I have lost a couple of pounds this week, though, whatever my old scales say. (I did a comparison between my old and new scales, and the new ones say I weigh less this morning than I did last night (which is what you'd expect), while the old ones say I weighed exactly the same on both occasions. I think I can therefore conclude that the old ones are just wrong! ;))

That means I have beaten my May Challenge target by over a pound, and with four days still to go. :D (OK, so using new scales is probably cheating, but I won't mention it if you don't! ;))

    Today goes:

B - 40g shreddies with sliced banana and skimmed milk
    S - pear
L - lettuce and spicy carrot salad; mini cheese and onion quiche (a freebie from my veg box company, so not eating it would be plain rude ;)); small WM roll
    S - fresh cherries
D - two sausages (not LF ones - sausages are something I insist on having in full fat variety or not at all); roast veggies and new potatoes; FF raspberry yoghurt (maybe - it's a few days past its BB date so I don't know until I open it if it's still edible or not)

Exercise - I'll go for a walk at lunchtime if the rain stays away, then I've got to shift some bags of compost this evening and might do a bit of weeding while I'm at it (again, if it doesn't rain).

    Have a good day, all.
Back after a very long break!
  • Week 3 and I had a 3lb loss (not the 4lb that showed up earlier in the week when I was ill). Very pleased with that after my zero weight loss last week :D

Just psyc-ing myself up to go to the gym, keen to get out of the office so that helps.

CCP- hey getting new scales is a good way to lose weight, lucky they did not go up! Try gettign on an off the scales about 10 times and see if they read the same, the springs in bathroom scales eventualy go and the scales are no longer very accurate so getting new ones every few years is probably a good idea.

    So far:
B: 3 oatcakes, scraping of spread and yeast extract. Few wlanut pieces. Cup of tea with oat milk.
L: About to have a butter bean pate + lime pickle in a small bread bun. with raisins + carrot sticks on the side + a bag of crisps (value ones so about 18g I think - around 2/3 the size of normal bags???) Big glass of water.
D: Going out for meal so likely to have a child's portion of a tomatoey pasta or veg chilli without the soured cream. We won't have dessert as even the child's portions are quite generous.

Exercise: 3x 1 mile walks. Going to start situps again as well as the yoga.
Love and compassion to all x

been to the gym, I enjoyed it:D

Off for a buisness trip next week so have to see how good my resolve is to maintain sensible eating, especial while hanging about in airports or long evenings on my own in my room.

Two ideas for getting fitter in your own home
1 stand up from your chair without using your hands, really strengthens the legs and improves balance
2 if you need to use the loo go up or down to one on another floor....obviously doesn't work in a flat or bungalow but for the rest of us.......

I may not get a chance to post so have a good week everyone.

Another idea for getting fitter in your own home...

Fire up Youtube and dance to your favourite music videos. Choosing tracks from your miss-spent (or otherwise!) youth has the added advantage of taking years off you, and if you dance anything like I do you can give your family the gift of laughter too :)

Well done to all the losers this week and good luck for a better week ahead to those who have struggled.

It's Friday evening and that normally signals the start of a 3 day food fest :o.

Decided the best way to prevent this is to plan in a yummy thing to eat (or drink ;)) each day so that I don't feel too deprived....Monday however will be a write off...I've got a very important date at Wembley stadium that will include burgers and beer :p

    Today has been good:
    B - porridge
    S - apple
    L - scrambled egg with 4 Ryvita
D - will be turkey stir fry
(I think there may also be a glass or two of bacardi and diet coke in an hour or so too)

Exercise - still haven't moved a muscle...I'm just so flipping lazy, will have a go at Liz and Ida's suggestions to see if I can work up a sweat :)!!!
