Thanks Sparrer, though I've actually gained 5lbs in total - 2lbs more than when I started OS weight loss on 1st May. I've had one piece of toast and a slim a soup cup a soup thing that was in the cupbaord (I didn't even look at BBE), and have healthily prepared HM spah bol defrosting for my tea tonight. I've also dug out an exercise dvd to do when DS goes to bed at 7pm. Positive steps following complete failure!

My aim for this week is to lose 3lbs (by 5th June).

I'm loving your mantra btw :)

    Afternoon all.

Last night went a bit to pot, unfortunately: I had a couple of glasses of wine after work, then decided I couldn't be bothered to cook a proper meal so just had a sausage sarnie. :o

    Today has been better (ish):

Brunch - three rashers of bacon with most the fat removed, with sliced tomato in two rolls (one brown, one white)
Snack - grapes and sliced banana with FF raspberry yoghurt and a small piece of flapjack
Dinner - lamb and veg stew with new potatoes; a couple of glasses of wine (naughty, really, but I've got a rather stressful day tomorrow and I'm hoping the wine will help me sleep rather than lying awake all night worrying)

I hope everyone's having an OK day today.
Back after a very long break!

Just going to watch Casualty, but in future I should watch it before I eat cos all the blood n guts might put me off stuffing my face

got home and was really full through out the day and thought about skipping dinner. came 8 i got pekish and instead of munching around i make myself a hm pizza out of lebanese bread, tom sauce, ham, pepper and a bit of cheese ... so here's hoping!

well done to all who did better than me!!
and even if not - you are all here so that's a step in the right direction - keep up the good work:T

Mentally replacing the word 'chocolate' with the words 'sweetened fat' doesn't always work for me, but it's stopped me reaching for that bar of sweetened fat or warming mug of hot sweetened fat more than enough times to make it worth doing (and also makes the voiceover for advert women trying to make eating a Flake bar look provocative sound even dafter!).

'Options' drinks are useful during moments of weakness, and since they're only around fifty calories a sachet, I usually budget one into my daily calorie intake now so that I can promise myself I'll round off the day with one as long as I haven't given in to eating rubbish for the sake of it. 'Options' are not sweetened fat, they are 'low calorie cocoa rewards' ;)

and May? did you sleep walk???? ;)

Ida like your replacemnt strategy - sweetened fat does sounds horrible

had my coffee in the morning; then a cereal bar at kids swimming (yeah me!) - and made 2 eggs with spring onion and peppers on 2 wm toasts!

just having a cup of tea with OUT biscuits :T .... hard but doable ...'sigh'

Alas, this is a tale of woe,
This diet of mine has still far to go!
Just been on the scales to check if more weight had gone,
But what do I find - one pound back on!
Back on the wagon I will get,
But don't really expect my May target to be met!
I shall be back on the scales on the 1st of June,
And if any weight loss I shall be over the moon!!

thanks who ever suggested the sandwich idea for dinner - remembered that we had that when i was a kid and went for it tonight!

got everything out any possible to go on sandwiches and it was great!
kids had fun chosing their own things :T
and it took so much longer than the usual 5min wolving down - and we all ended up in a laughing fit :rotfl:

might have this as a regular thing but will have to be a more creative with toppings!

i had 3 biscuits earlier on whilst watching tv and for dinner i had a toast with sardines (wasn't my thing, i rather stick with tuna!) and one toast with philadelphia spread and some vegis :T
