I have about 8-10 cups of tea, mixture through the day of lady grey or pg. But, I drink it weak, black and with no sugar. Still isn't meant to be good for your calcium intake though - and I don't do much dairy due to eczema
Anyway food today:-
B: Just right cereal with oat milk
S: toasted teacake
L: value baguette with tuna, low fat mayo and a touch of pesto
S: blood orange, fun size pear
S: small slice of damson piebreaded fish fillet with veg

Any advice?
I had that problem too. Can't sleep when someone is breathing on me - plus OH snores sometimes. After a few months I bought new pillows, but what helped more was blackout linings for the curtains. Lavender tea just before bed helps me too.
And then when I'm tired I'm grumpy and only want to eat junkworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Where is everyone?
Yesterday was good again overall. Lots of fruit and had a very light salad dinner to make up for a teeny bit of grazing in the afternoon, was still under 1400 cals I think. And did 50 sit ups. Will do some more today, just want to start off gradual so I don't do myself an injury. Think I last did situps in the 80s.
B: 1slice of toast with clover. Raspberry Shape yoghurt (200)
S: clementine
L: baked potato with broccoli cheese, carrots and peas (500)
S: options hot chocfish and salad (400)

Sorry to poke my nose onto your thread but I thought this was the best place to find the knowledge!
Briefly, I'm trying to lose some weight but I'm not a snacking sort of person. Don't worry, I have other vices like being greedy at mealtimes and too many empty calories from wine.:o
What I wanted to ask is: Is it necessary to eat regularly to lose weight or is it about the the overall calorie count? Personally I prefer a substantial breakfast, a minimal (if any) lunch and a decent dinner. I don't find I need to snack. Does it matter?
TIA0 -

Good question, and there is so much conflicting evidence about what to eat when etc.
Basically - eat food, not too much, especially vegetables, and exercise
In most studies it shows that people who eat a substantial breakfast are slimmer than those who skip it, so looks like you are doing the right thing0 -

Personally, I lose weight at a better rate if I eat a snack mid-morning and mid-afternoon. It keeps your metabolic rate going which helps burn calories!0 -
I lost half a pound at last night's WI which was a realy surprise as I've eaten about 5 pieces of cake in the last 3 days, as well as my normal food intake....and wine
Not complaining though!

Hi all,
Yesterday was good even though I was late but today I am really suffering because I am so tired. It all started to go wrong when a lunch provided by work was substantially smaller than anticipated!
B: 2 wholemeal toast & cream cheese
L: 1 1/2 new potatoes, 1 spoonful of celeriac salad, 1 tomato and a few green beans and about 8 penne tubes  that was it! The other option was pizza or quiche so I just ate the salad-type stuff. The amounts of salad available probably would have been enough for 2 people for a lunch but they were split as a side dish between 15 people to go with the pizzanext time I will bring my own.
Will be wholemeal spaghetti matriciana when I eventually get home
S: This is where it went a bit wrong today, I had 1 slice of HM banana loaf about an hour after lunch as a planned snack then somebody opened a HM fruit loaf which I also had a slice of as I was ravenous due to my !!!!poor lunch.
On the plus side I didn't put butter on either and haven't used it as an excuse to go and eat crap.
Just hope I'm not here too late as my resolve starts to crumble the later it gets0 -

ONLY 3 cups of tea so far today.
I hope everyone has had a great day!
I am going to treat myself to a lovely bubbly bath this evening :-)Orange Fairy
