Well done Raspberry Swirl..a great loss!! :T:T:T Not just this week, but the last 6 months!!

I would love to emulate this in the next six months...so will have to get my a**e into gear and eat better and exercise more.

Been to the Family Planning unit today. The doctoris not too worried about my TOTMs happening every two weeks (!!), but was quite concerned about my PMS (again every two weeks atm !

She recommended I take vit B6 and some St John's Wort to help counteract my yeuchy PMS. Good to see a doctor recommending natural remedies!! She is researching PMS atm, so is quite into different ways to help us poor sufferers! :)

She also suggested I make a concerted effort to lose more weight (lost 42 pounds last year, mainly due to illness)...and likes Rosemary Conley!!

So I have rooted out my Inch-Loss Plan book again and will re-draw up the next month's menus tomorrow. I will have to be careful with the exercises, as my back is only just getting back into working order, so don't want to put it out so soon!!

Here's hoping I will have a loss on Friday when I have my WI. :o

You are all doing so well everyone...Once the better weather appears, it will be easier to drop the pounds (at least that is my theory/hope :D).

Off to cook the salmon, and have it with fresh veg and noodles...nice and easy!

  • Well done Raspberry! Fantastic loss!

I'm definitely nowhere near as inspirational as I've just munched my way through a cream egg (sorry to mention it frogga if you're reading this!) I hardly ever have them so that's probably my one and only for the year! Just needed a bit of a pick me up but will work extra hard at training tonight to make up for it!

Oh and miss_cupcake what type of dancing do you do?

It's a mixture of modern/jazz I suppose. It's not a technical dance class or anything, far from it, but it's a fun way to bop around to some music and burn some cals at the same time :D Mmm cream eggs.. will definitely be treating myself to one of those at Easter weekend!

    Well done tappy :j

  • Morning all!

    Congrats on the loss taplady!
And Keiss, I know what you mean about the fairer weather. I keep telling myself I'll really start trying when the clocks change and I can get out more in the evenings. We'll see if that ever happens!

    Today's plan:
B: Porridge made with water, half banana, handful raisins
L: Chickpea + spinach salad and a pear (had the same lunch every day this week, oops, but so tasty)
    Snack: Another pear
    D: HM Bolognaise with gnocchi
Snack: Hopefully nothing - maybe some dried fruit

Exercise: 5mile run at the gym + 200 sit ups

I'm baking loads of cakes tonight  but the good news is that they're not for me :D A friend has asked if I would mind providing them for his son's birthday party at the weekend. Payment was offered, but I'll be doing these for free because I have the ingredients in anyway. I've been toying with the idea of maybe starting up a wee home-business type thing with my cake baking and I'm hoping this might be the start of good things :T Here's hoping my waistline doesn't suffer too much!
  • Hello people! I'm new here.

miss cupcake - love the chickpea, spinach and pear salad idea. I have all of those, so I think I'll be having that for lunch :)

B: Porridge with a handful of raisins. Slice of toast with pb.
L: Chickpea, spinach and pear salad :)
D: Veggie chilli on gem lettuce.
    S: Banana and apple

Exercise time now. . . I'm going to use a bollywood dvd which has been sitting collecting dust.
  • Welcome princess aloha! Glad to see I inspired you with my lunch choice :) I bulk-bought tins of chickpeas a while ago so I've been trying to use them up any way I can! My lunch is actually spinach and chickpea salad with the pear as a piece of fruit for afterwards, but now I think about it I bet it would be nice to have the pear in the salad too.
  • Raspberry - Glad to hear I wasn't the only one! :p

Keiss - Glad to hear your doc is open to herbal remedies! My doctor is always happy to recommend things or hear if I've found a new one that works. Unlike my last GP who scoffed at the very thought!

miss cupcake - Even if it's not a technical dance class it really does sound like a fun way to burn the calories!

    Welcome princess aloha!

Well all I've had to eat today is a bowl of cereal so I'm starving! Just off to see what soups they have in the canteen today and will resist the chocolate eggs! :)
  • well done on your loss taplady!!

    Today:
Breakfast - Cheerioes with ss milk
Lunch - Soup, Melba Toasts, Yogurt
Dinner - Fishcake (didn't have it last night in the end) with broccoli, green beans and cabbage
    Snack - WW Biscuits

Will be trying to stay away from the food at pool match tonight. Is always difficult when I have a home game as they always do a big bowl of hoisin duck spring rolls and I could eat them all if I get going :D

Congrats Taplady you are sooo good!! :T:T - hoping I will register a loss tomorrow...though I somehow doubt it!!

It is DS2's 17th birthday today and he wanted a pizza takeaway! I know, I should have made something for myself at home instead...but I soooo fancied a pizza!!!

I can't remember the last time I have had a pizza that is not home-made... I had a Mediterranean one, with little cheese, but lots of chicken, prawns and sweetcorn, so better than some, though there were onion rings...and garlic bread...!!:eek:

DH has taken DS2 off to rugby training tonight, so we had an early tea...not used to spending so little time in the kitchen!! No dishes to do...except the glasses we had for our sugar-free cola from Mr L...it really is good...and only 39p for 2 litres!!!

When they come back, we will have his chocolate cake...bought from Mr M this time...I know I should have made one, but in a way it is a sort of treatto have a bought one, it is such a rarity for us these days.

So there is very little chance of me having lost weight this week...been in severe munching TOTM
mode again...lets hope the vitamins and St John's Wort does the trick soon!

Will pop in tomorrow to post my WI result...would be great if I stayed the same rather than gain...we'll see.
