    Can I join? :)

I've lost 2 stone over the last year but the last three quarters of a stone just will not shift! Need some OS help!

My weigh in day is Thurs so hope I've broken the plateau then.

Anyone have any ideas for cheap low-fat lunches to take to work? I'm thoroughly sick of sandwiches, and they're not very slimming friendly either.

I've been making big vats of soup or veggie stew type things to take as lunches-just done a batch of mushroom and blackeye bean curry which I will have with a pitta and comes in at around 300cals and very filling

I'm aiming for 200-250 cals for breakfast, 300 for lunch, 100 for snack which gives me 600 for a decent dinner, but also means I can have a second snack and a smaller dinner if I am peckish mid afternoon

    Welcome Money Saving Novice :)
I used to take a big tupperware of salad to work with nuts and olives, etc. If you can can be bothered, you could take carrot sticks with hummus to dip - maybe a pitta in strips too. When the weather was cooler, I would take leftover chilli, etc, from the evening previous and microwave it at work. You could put it in a flask if you don't have a microwave at work.

Update on Saturday: I did have a few mouthfuls of couscous and beans - then was ill :(

    Yesterday:
I managed a nibble (and I mean a nibble) of a banana, then later on a bowl of Iceberg lettuce. LOADS of water.

Feeling a bit perkier today but still not really wanting much food (that is something for me! lol) DD has also perked up a bit. Must be a bit of a cold on the stomach, cos we got all achey and lethargic too.

    Today:
B: About 4 tsp branflakes in rice milk (gave the rest to the baby!)
L: 2 rye crispbreads with a smear of hummus + 4 slices of pear
Afternoon: cup of fairly weak black coffee
Not really that hungry now. Might roast some butternut squash and courgette tho, as I feel I should have something, even if it is just a few small mouthfuls, so those calories can help fight off this bug...

Well done all the losers you have done well.

Eenmeeny I'm with you, had to go shopping for a birthday card & gift for friends OH and ended up buying chocolate thins with turkish delight centres - which I scoffed as I drove home..... thats a cool 900 calories ........ and for nowt! I'm going to blame that TOTM as well as lack of self control.

    So today is planned as:
B: single pack of honey nut cornflakes & splash of milk - 175 cals
    S: small banana - 100 cals
L: sandwich or soup - needs to be bought so going to have to be careful. 300 cals ish
    S: baked crisps - 100 cals
    D: chicken stirfry - 400-500 cals

    Pretty fed up with myself!

I still have a cheese scone left... trying to be strong and chuck it out for the birds before I succomb! Don't like waste though, maybe OH will eat it later...if it's still there!

thank you for your kindness! I managed NOT to buy a hot pastie or any choc when I bought my lunch yesterday (soup) so my naughtiness did at least give me a bit more will power.

put myself on the scales this morning and I've lost 3 lbs during Jan :j I'd love to ask how but I'm not looking that gift horse in the mouth :rotfl:

so I went and ruined it by buying breakfast this morning :o, I was out of time for cereal and we have no bread to toast so must get organised tonight!!

    Today:
B: sausage roll & cuppa tea
L: HM lentil & coconut milk soup
    S: banana
D: pork with orange & star anise currently in slow cooker, will serve with veg for me.

Will report back 2m after my weekly weigh in. Please let the numbers move downwards! I'm fed up of being stuck at the same weight (tho better than gaining I guess!)

I read that and wondered if you were going to report back 2 months or 2 minutes after your weigh in! Got it now, you mean tomorrow don't you? Silly me,:o hope it's a good result for you:D

I also did the what.?.!.?... to "2m" but then realised it was text speak!

MSNovice another lunch idea, if facilities at work are short, is a cuppa soup and some seeded crackers (ryvita do some lovely ones but lots of own brands available too)

Realised my weight loss must be down to cutting out alcohol at home so that makes it easier to maintain now :) (the no alcohol, have to keep fingers crossed for the weight loss)

    Today:
B: soft boiled egg & soliders
L: HM lentil & coconut milk soup
D: pasta with stuff from the fridge

No snacks with me! I normally do ok up to lunch time but then need/want something to see the afternoon through, so will have to be very focused when I go out at lunch time (actually may ask someone else to get me something then I can't to tempted!)
