In this month's Good Food mag (and on their website) there's a nice recipe for Haddock, I made it the other day, though with Cod, and it was lovely. I didn't have capers so I used chopped up green olives and used spring onion instead of chives!
Thanks for that! Will have a butchers once i've done my cleaningAnnual Grocery Budget £364.00/£1500

Hi all, been drinking more water the last couple of days. Definitely less hungry that way
Been eating more prior to that, so doubt I will have lost anything at all - just hope it's not gone up.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Tomorrow's plan:
B: Cup of black coffee and pear. Will aim for rye crispbread or a banana smoothie ideally, but knowing me...
L: Tofutti Mozzarella slice melted on wholemeal toast + cup of tea with rice milk.Bean Curry with Pilau Rice, probs with another glass of hm fizz if tis pleasant
Feeling sick as a chip today so the day is not looking like yesterday's plan. I am pretty much doing the same as you Newlywed and just drinking an awful lot of water. Poor DD is ill too. Both feeling bloated and sickly. At least I can keep stuff down tho, poor little mite can't manage a dry cracker and much water without bringing it up
B: A small hm cookie and tea with splash of rice milk then wished I hadn't...)
L: Small bowl of oats with 1/2 tsp peanut butter, made with water and rice milk.
Lots more water.
Goodness knows what I'll attempt later on. I get hungry then as soon as I get up to get myself someting I feel all bloated and nauseuos again so don't bother. Might have bean salad with couscous or something and keep it bland without dressing.Love and compassion to all x0 -

only lost half a pound this week but when you think we've had three 60th birthday do's this week, I'm quite pleased. Now that they are out of the way we are going to try and concentrate on eating less richly. Am finding Paul McKennna's sytem really helps. It means I don't have to cook differently just eat when I am genuinely hungry and know when to stop eating. He says in his book that as you tune in you will recognise a little muscle just below your ribs flex when you are full. And it's true! It's very subtle but once you recognise it you know. And I found it fairly easy to stop eating after feeling that.It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!0

hi all,
I ended up being at home friday and found myself eating nearly all day! I was also out for a curry on friday and a chinese on saturday so not a very good weekend at all!
Have plans drawn up for the evening meals for all of this week so hope to do better
Today:
B: single pack (40g?) cornflakes with splash of milk & tiny bit of sugar - 150 cals
S: managed not to but I was hungry!
L: beef salad sandwich & l/f yogurt - 400 cals
S: small banana - 100 calsspag bol - a fav that I hadn't had in ages!! so looking forward to this. think its got to be from scratch so will add chillies too.
ETA - nearly forgot, an aero lamb jumped into my hand when I bought my lunch!! ROTL0 -
Well, I was so fed up today that I wasn't going to post but I need you all to keep me going! I hadn't lost any weight this morning then went shopping. Worse thing I could have done, came back with the things that I have been missing, cheese scones and a proper, solid chocolate bar. (dairy milk) Ashamed to say that I've eaten them both (actually 2 scones!) But that'll have to count as lunch and tea. So, got it out of my system, feel absolutely gutted but back on the wagon again. Well done to everyone else and I'll just have to try again tomorrow... Good luck everyone. The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this wonderful forum. I'm very grateful for the guidance and friendliness that I always receive from you.

another 1lb down - thats 6 since new year in all. Food Focus is really helping me watch my calorie intake but have hurt my knee so can't run til physio gives go ahead and am really noticing the difference - in both tone and not having extra 'exercise' calories' to eat!People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

Can I join?
I've lost 2 stone over the last year but the last three quarters of a stone just will not shift! Need some OS help!
My weigh in day is Thurs so hope I've broken the plateau then.
Anyone have any ideas for cheap low-fat lunches to take to work? I'm thoroughly sick of sandwiches, and they're not very slimming friendly either.Mortgage£148,725 Student loan£13,050 HSBC loan£12,221

Hi all
I have been signed into https://www.myfitnesspal.com which is free but it is great for adding up the calories and takes into account of any excercise you do which does give you an incentive to do something especially when you have a potential hazard looming up - like a meal out!
I ended up going out for a long walk- 5miles just so I could have tiramisu when out for a meal!!
Needless to say it didnt cover all the tiramisu but it went a long way to helping!0
