52 mins of walking and running last night - chuffed to bits but my legs ache today!!

Off out for a curry tonight - so browsing the menu and looking for lower cal options - thinking will probs go veggie for the evening and stick with boiled rice over pilau - and avoid the popadums! Got to work out a way of enjoying myself without thinking 'oh I've blown the diet might as well forget the wole thing' so hopefully this will work!

B - 1.5 slices of toast and marmalade
S - forgot my fruit this am so will see what I can find in the canteen
    L - HM tom soup
    D - Curry and a beer!

Oh and stupidly had a mid week weigh in and a lb down - must must stick to a weekly weigh in only!!

    Hi All,

Imataloss - could you bike any of your journeys? you can get child seats or attachable bits if DGS is old enough to cycle - like this sort of thing

mlz1413 - thanks for the idea but it would have to be a seat at this stage. DGS was 2 in December.
Have a bike (with a puncture) sitting in the shed. It`s hardly been ridden.
  • Hello all

Yesterday I started off quite well with a visit to the gym.

    Breakfast - Muesli
    Lunch - Ham Salad
Dinner - Pork loin chops and veg followed by banana and custard

Then I had a can of Guiness and some more cashews. :)

Still have too many Christmas leftovers around - mini mince pies, chocolates, liquorish allsorts, nuts anyone?

Think I was within my allowance but haven`t checked yet.

Been to the gym again this morning and planning grocery shop for lunchtime so that will be exercise for today.

    Have a great day everyone.:)

i am really pleased, im not sure what i was at the beginning of Jan after the xmas excess but i am at least 5lb down on that so i am a happy bunny this morning.

got to be careful over the weekend as this is my danger time, know i am out for a curry tomorrow night but like rachbc, i am just going to have to show some restraint ;)

    today will be:
2 x wm toast (at least i'm predictable!)
not sure about lunch, may well be out
hm cauli, spinach, potato and pea curry with boiled rice

    have a good day x

went out for a meal last night, managed to have only two roast potatoes (yes, I know it should have been zero!), lots of veg and no pudding.

Today (due to the reduced section in M&S) I have a fruit platter for my snack - almost unheard of for me, so will try and be good and stick to that with no chocolate afterwards!

    Bfast - cornflakes
    Lunhc - prawn salad
Tea -= Fish and lots of veg
    Snack - fruit

    Have a good weekend all

Well done sams I think 2 roast pots is brilliant will power.

rachbc and vixtress if you can stick to veg curry that will help and if you do nibble on a popadum try to stick to the yogurt dips as the chutneys are full of sugar!

Well I have had too much alcohol this week, not sure why I have been so bad but now it is noted I will try harder (next week;))

Yesterday I stuck to the plan apart from 2 handfuls of nuts and 2 glasses of wine :o

            Today:
B: crust of toast with l/f spread & honey
L: HM minestrone soup (seems to be all pasta!)
            S: Banana
            L: toad-in-the-hole and veg

My & OH wrote a meal plan out last night which uses up the last of the meat in the freezer and more of the store cupboards items that need to be used.

So when I shop w/c 24th I need to have a plan for 2 weeks so I can only buy those things.

Everyone seems to be doing well don't they? Points for trying anyway! Well done with those who are really exercising, I can only manage a walk at the moment but it's better than nothing.
Rachbc struck a chord with me... daily or weekly weigh in, which do you prefer? I've been weighing every day to help my motivation. Yesterday I'd lost 4lb, thrilled to bits and honestly felt much thinner and I'm sure my jeans were looser. Today I was gutted to see that I'm back to my 1lb loss that I was showing last weekend:( Haven't eaten anything I shouldn't, don't drink, feel really FAT! Maybe it's time to change to weekly weigh ins...

Eenymeeny - I find weighing once a week is best for me...some even only weigh once a month (where is our green friend btw??). Doing it every day means you can easily get disheartened when you gain a bit one day, then you may binge out/give up and gain even more  Weighing once a weekly tends to even out the little blips.

So saying that I can report a loss of 1 pound this week. Not much, but I did lose 6 last week,....and have done a bit of binging this past week. :o So 7 lost for the first two weeks...oooh, half a stone...that sounds better :D

            Food today:

B - Porridge, using soya milk, water & sultanas; OJ
S - HM mince pie - still a few left in the freezer :o
L - HM veg soup; HM wholemeal seede bread, cheese; clementine
            S - another
HM mince pie - well, once they're gone, they're gone!! :D
T - HM Torilla "Lasagne"; HM Croissant Bread & Butter pudding - no butter....yum!

Can you guess we are using things up! :rotfl:

            Must go, tea is ready!
