Thanks for the welcome,
Managed to go running on the treadmill today. Surprisingly it did not feel as bad as I expected, the knees held up ok and breathing was more or less under control. Heart rate up to a max of 159 and average of 133 including the warm up and cool down. 425 calories burned
I also lost 1.4lb's overnight
I think that is just water weight shifting around and not a real pound coming off but it still made me happy. We make our habits, then our habits make us0 -
Hello Everyone and welcome to crux. Just had a quick look at your blog. So much on there.
It looks as though we are all finding things a bit difficult at the moment. There is so much stress in everyones lives and it looks as though we always turn to food at these times.
Had a good weekend which included an away football match but my team lost. Foodwise haven`t counted anything and went out for pub meal on Saturday and yesterday we were treated to a buffet lunch at a nearby hotel. My daughter won a prize at work and took us with her.
Carvery was good calorie wise but I couldn`t resist a pudding, couldn`t decided between chocolate torte and coconut mousse so I had both.
Then I finished off with some cheese.
Exercise wise - walk from car to football ground was over a mile so I had at least a 2 mile brisk walk there and back.
Anyway I`m back on the straight and narrow today and meal plan as follows:
B - Muesli, banana and orange juice
L - Jacket potatoe and baked beans
D - Chicken casserole - will put in slow cooker at lunchtime.
S - Fruit
Have a good week everyone.0 -
Thanks for visiting the blog!
I just got back from the gym and I’m feeling it. I’m a bit weak and wobbly at the minutes!
Anyhow, my official Monday morning weigh in recorded the same as yesterday, at 191.6 pounds and 24.5% body fat.
Not too bad considering the roast chicken dinner I put away last night at my parents
Also, on the money saving side, I did an online shop with Tesco’s today. It’s the first time I ever ordered online from that supermarket, but with Clubcard vouchers and a £10 first time shopper discount I got my £54.57 Shop (Inc delivery) for 7 pence!
LOL, that really made my day especially as the Clubcard vouchers were ones we had lost over the past two years and never knew about until last week. Thanks to MSE for informing me about that!We make our habits, then our habits make us0 -
Weigh in this morning and stayed the same. Very happy with that result because we went out for 3 meals last week. Carvery for my birthday, pub lunch on Saturday and Sunday buffet lunch at a very nice hotel. My DD won a raffel at work and took us with her.
Still on my way to 10lb loss before Christmas so hoping to lose at least 1lb next week.
Only 1 visit to the gym this week - just haven`t had time to go any more.
Will have to get Wii Fit out and burn some calories on there.
crux - good news about your Tesco shop.
Have a good weekend everyone.0 -
Hi all, i haven't been on for a while as gave up dieting as had STS for months. But in the 6/8 weeks I've eaten as I pleased and drank far too much I've managed to put on a staggering 6 lbs!!!
I was stunned and embarrased, why can it go on that quick but never come off that the same rate??!!?
SO, I have bought a magazine with a 2 week pre-xmas diet plan and another one that has a week of WW meal plans in it and I'm going to SERIOUSLY diet for 2 weeks to lose about 4-6 lbs.
Then I shall be sensible until mid december, hopefully maintaining the loss. After that I have lots of meals booked up to xmas and so will have that period off dieting and resume (probably along with half the UK!) dieting again in January.
TODAY:
B: 200 cals = 1 piece of toast, thin cover of l/fat spread & 100g of baked beans
L: 300 cals = HM broccolli soup with 20g of stilton + 1 piece of bread, 15g rasins, sparkling flavoured water.
S: Apple (50 cals)650 cals = small portion of steak with mushrooms & salad, 1 small glass wine

After a good day and a thoughtful evening meal, I realised I'd seriously mis-calculated my dinner portions!!!!
So probably had 950 rather than 650 calories in one meal  I'm cross with myself.
Only saving grace is the whole day was only 1500 cals.
Today, I was running too late to cook & eat beans on toast - so
B: Teacake and thinnest layer of spread = 300 cals
L: mixed salad balsamic dressing with 2 small boiled pots, avodaco & 2 thin rashers of bacon = 400 cals
S: WW yogurt = 65 cals
S: bananachilli with last of salad (no rice!) Will weigh & calorie count!!
Hi Eltee12, I've lurked too!
Hello to all and lots of will power to you all too.0 -
Hi everyone
I have been overeating lately. I have months where I am fine and fully motivated in all aspects then weeks where I'm a lot lower and its more difficult in lots of ways. I'm trying to pick up and bit and get myself on a more even keel. I won't even post what I've been eating the past couple of days.
Today's plan:
B: Had approx 30g instant oats made up with water, with 3 dates. Black coffee
L: Small bowl i.e. baby bowl of children's leftovers... spaghetti and vegetables dressed with a little olive oil (will top with a few toasted pumpkin seeds) served with watercress on the side and 1 slice of LO garlic baguetteNot sure yet. Can't remember what my mealplan was. Maybe pitta pizza (no cheese) with baked beans and watercress on the side.
If I am hungry, I will try to stick to a cup of veg bouillon and a couple of brazil nuts or almonds.
Hope you all have a good day xLove and compassion to all x0 -
Hi Boodle,
I think I have just had one of those low weeks, but having seen the weight pile on i'm back to being motivated!!
I have bought some 'emergency' snacks of cuppa soups for work and rice cakes for home, but haven't actually dipped into them (yet) but I think knowing they are there actually helps.
Today:
B: 1 slice of toast, thin layer spread & 100g b/beans = 200cals
S: 15g raisins
L: HM Broccolli & stilton soup, 1 thin slice of bread and apple = 300 cals
S: will try not to!pizza with peppers, mushrooms & pepperoni. small glass of wine (which is last of bottle opened on sunday - pretty impressive for me) = 600 cals
