Well done Imataloss, we have just discovered we have to move, and I have a month to pack up the house and go, so maybe the stress alone will burn up calories!? I really will have to fight the urge to comfort eat
To those who are given much, much is expected

        £2025 in 2025 = £680.60
          Food Budget £180/9.30.
            Fiver Friday #13 £35
          1. sams247 - thank you.
Good luck with the house move it is such a stressful thing. How about keeping some soup, low calorie snacks handy for when you want to comfort eat?
My DD moved out 2 years ago and we still have a room full of her things. I don`t think she knows what`s in there lol. Really need to get around to finding out what she wants to keep.

I'm not a fan of soups......... but can try! Part of the stress of the move is we're downsizing, so things left behind by offspring who've flown the coup may have to be returned to them..... :( bit sad, another step away. But that's being melancholy.

Last night I wanted a quick fish n chips but determined to be better we had fish fingers, beans, and sweet pot roast pots.

                    Hi folks,

I've got a rotten cold and work is pap but as my Granny used to say "I'm no deed yet" (she was from Islay) so it could be worse :)

                    B/L: Cheese on toasted ciabatta

D: Not sure yet, I have to go out shopping and have a ton of beetroot to chutney so I'm thinking of something simple like veggie chilli with brown rice or jacket spuds.

We aren't doing anything tonight as OH is working until 7 so I'll just try and stay wrapped up and avoid the urge to eat rubbish while feeling sorry for myself ;)
                  2. Keep going Guys.
I put 2lbs on in the 2 weeks since my last weigh in.
But the treats kept going in my mouth......
Like the idea of the 10lbs challange to Xmas.will try for that.
Have a job interview in 2 weeks time(currently a lady of leisure)
so will try to focus on that Ie want to shift 2 to 4 lbs for that as I think it will give my confidence a boast.
Decide to avoid the village bonfire as going out on Saturday and Sunday, and there are only somany times you can decline the smell of Bonfire food.

think the comments re exercies are great will try to do some walking, even if the rain is pouring.

need to continue on the journey towards our goals
                  3. I'm thrilled i've stumbled upon this thread and when my children go to bed I'll be looking right through it for help with losing weight old style.

I haven't always been frugal but since I took on the 'stay at home mum' and 'housewife' role, I've found myself enjoying scratch cooking and as penny pinching as I can.

The problem comes when trying to lose weight when there's always a SC full of rice pud or a fresh loaf just come out of the BM/oven dependingon what it is.

I can't justify buying ingredients to follow conventional diets especially as I'm making good home made grub for the family so trying to lose weight has not been something I've done for at least 6 months.

I'm 12 stone plus but just what I don't know. I would like to lose a couple of pounds so I don't balloon over the festive period but come new year, thats it. Really chuffed there's ideas and support here that will fit into our budget and way of life. :)

                    Hi all,

Have been doing more walking - walked monday, tuesday, wednesday and then home as well on weds. Also went for smaller walks in lunch hour.

But am still eating far too much. I seem to be a sugar addict at the moment :o

I think I need to join you in walking more. I just jump into the car even though the local shops are less than 10 mins walk away. I think it will be quicker to drive and then find I can`t park.
So really must make an effort in doing this.
Don`t want to walk far today though - it`s wet, miserable and cold outside.

                    Keep up the good work.
                  6. Imataloss--well done only 8lbs to go to the Xmas Goal.

tried to be sensible at weekend ,but some goodies crept in.
Went for long walk today dispite the rain.
Needed to clear head after getting some sad news.
plan to eat venison and beef stew that cooked yesterday will add veggies and small portion of rice.
food ok today, but see what the evening brings .That is often when I get the munchies.

                    will weigh in on Thurday.
                    keep posting all.

Thank you, I`m feeling lighter already.
Sorry to hear that you`ve had some sad news - it was probably a good idea to go for a walk. I`ve had so much sad news over the past few years it sometimes gets to much to handle.
The stew sounds lovely. I`m going to cook stew today - great filling comfort food on a bleak day.
My weigh in will be on Thursday too. It`s my birthday so hopefully the scales will be kind to me. Hoping for at least 1lb this week.
Look forward to hearing how you get on.
