Have been doing a fair bit of walking, but had fish and chips with mushey peas last week....
Any way I do not want to loose all the good work this week with relaxing too much ,with the kiddies being on holiday and no opertunity to get weighed.
Good luck to all and keep posting.0 -
Thank you mlz1413, will look out for that, we don't eat red meat at home, and I generally only eat either new pots or sweet pots due to the lower GI. But I confess my weakness with stews is dumplings........
Bfast - porridge
Lunch - veggies and new pots
Tea - Veggie bake with fish
Snack - yoghurt and 2 oat biscuits

Hello All
I`ve fallen off the wagon big time. Went on holiday in September and then became ill with a virus (sore throat, earache, eye infection).
We came back off holiday to find out that my stepdad was terminally ill. Sadly he passed away at the end of last month. With the stress of all of this calorie counting and exercise were the last things on my mind.
I have been back at the gym 2 mornings a week for the past 3 weeks. Got weighed this morning and am back where I started on 19th August at 14st 10lbs. I have 4st to lose to get me back to a healthy weight.
So here we go again. I look and feel a mess. Someone posted a photo of me on FB taken a few weeks ago. I can see how much overweight I am now.
Back to calorie counting and moving around as much as I can. I work from home and sometimes feel as though I haven`t moved away from my desk all day.
Have decided to set myself a mini goal to lose 10lbs by Christmas. Does anyone want to join me in the challenge?
Have a good day everyone0 -
Hi Imataloss,
So sorry to hear about all of your turmoils ((((((((HUGS))))))). The mini target is a great idea to take things a chunk at a time so I'm happy to join in since I have put on about 7lb following the cervical laser treatment I had as I havent been able to go out biking and weirdly my hormones have been all over the place, didn't think that would happen.
Anyway, I've been back on the wagon for about a week and have lost 2lb so far so it is coming off, just need to be more careful about checking portions
B: 2 granary toast with HM bramble jelly (no butter)
L: Wholemeal roll with small amount of strong cheddar and HM chutneySushi
I need to watch my booze this week as we are going on tour with my friends band and invariably it ends up with me drinking too much then eating rubbish because I feel rubbish the next day.
Welcome new folk and returners and well done to those sticking with it, its so hard when it starts to get cold0 -
Hello
Not been on for quite a while, lost my password, so have now sorted that, I need to sort out the rest of the cxxp in my life.
I have been watching my diet all year and have actually put on half a stone, I rarely drink, don't have treats often but still can't shift the weight. I need to cut down portion size and MOVE. Every afternoon spent sitting on sofa watching telly is not good. Have a running battle with mild depression which I need to address. Being outside does help.
Off to work now. Will try harder to post daily as I love the support.
Bfast : cornflakes
Lunch HM lentil soup
DIner HM lasagne. (quorn as I'm veggie.)
Snacks: fruitWL 11 st 5lb as at 050109. 160209 11st 2lb

Well, seems like hugs all round needed, sorry to hear your news imataloss and good luck on your mini challenge. I need to lose 6 stone, and it seems an impossible task, so I generally aim to get fitter first! I can now walk up the two flights of stairs at work without getting out of breath, and I can now walk to the train station in 30 minutes where it used to take me 45, so I am on my way slow but sure. I only have a partial part of my thyroid left following a removal of a growth on it, and some days this makes me feel sluggish and slow, and on those days I tend to eat way more than I should.
Floyd, again, sorry to hear you're still having issues following your procedure, best of luck on your re-start. I always love the sound of your HM bramble jelly.
procastinator - I know what you mean about getting moving, I have a sit down job and as it's quite mentally tiring I tend to gravitate towards the settee in the evening. I often think - well if I was a bit slimmer I'd go swimming........ but haven't the confidence to get in my suit and get out there!
Today
Bfast - egg & quorn sausage
Lunch - veggies and new pots in honey and mustard dressing
Tea - HM nut cutlets with veggies
started out as oat biscuit but ended up packing some Divine dark chocolate somehow..... so it's likely to be a few squares of that. Hell, it's one of those days.

hi all, I've been in and out of this thread like a yo yo for the past year and more!!
Sorry not to have kept up. Imataloss - don't try and do too much, I know when my dad died I couldn't concentrate on anything much for ages, let alone dieting or exercise.
Have decided that healthy eating isn't happening when I'm stressed and busy at work so instead I'm trying some additional movement of the butt
So far on Tuesday walked to work 2 miles. Weds, walked to work 2 miles, Thurs walked to work 2 miles. It's steep hills to start with and then down hill the rest of the way - if I can find some comfy shoes I can wear to work all day, I may even walk home too - that's mostly uphill!!
Thinking of getting the bus tomorrow but that won't help reduce the size of my buttworking on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0 -
Good Morning all
Thanks everyone for your kind words yesterday. They mean a lot.
Anyway the good news is that I managed to stay below my calorie target yesterday and got some exercise.
That included going out for a meal and a glass of wine
B: Orange Juice, Shredded Wheat, Sultanas
L: Homemade chicken and veg soup
S: AppleCarvery, Ice Cream and wine (small glass)
LBM yesterday when I realised that I eat snacks out of habit and not when I`m hungry.
I don`t need a slice/slices of toast mid morning with my coffee after eating a good breakfast.
Also found another unflattering photo on my computer yesterday. I look like the michelin man :rotfl:Maybe I can use it as a before photo.
Time for work now. Have a good day everyone and good luck in your weight loss efforts.0 -
Hello Everyone, hope you`re all doing ok with your weigh loss efforts.
Good news is that I lost 2lbs this week. Calorie counting must be working
Exercise wise have been to the gym again this morning. Try to go twice a week now.
Also went shopping last Saturday - it`s surprising how many calories you can burn in 4 hours.
Have a good day everyone.0
