Hi all,
Having a tough time at the moment because I have had to miss out my pill-free week as my appointment for cervical laser ablation was moved by the hospital (again ) to the week my period was due so I had to change my pill cycle to make sure I could still go for treatment. So I'm bloated and enormous, fed up, craving sugar and snapping at everyone constantly
Anyway, I'm keeping things sensible to a point but the odd cake or white crusty roll and butter has snuck in along with my normal healthy meals
Went for a bike ride in the rain today and fell off at speed on a downhill section of the mountainbike course taking a big chunk of skin with it :rotfl:
Today has been OK
B: Porridge made with semi milk
L: Strong cheddar on wholemeal bread with hot pepper sauce (Encona)HM fish pie with steamed broccoli, cauli, cabbage and carrots
My friend made a beautiful Dorset apple cake so I will have a small piece of that to heal my bruised pride and scabby knee0 -
Big hugs Floyd - it sounds like you feel rotten, but at least you are still laughing and that is half the battle
Yesterday:
B: Black coffee, a couple of brazils and dates (had lie-in, what was that?!)
L: Lentil casserole, 3 tbsp mashed potato (with vitalite) + cabbage
T: Small bowl hm tomato soup + 1 small white bread bun with spread
Supper: A small handful of marinated tofu pieces, dish of green olives, a handful of ready salted crisps, about 3 tbsp hummus + 3 carrotsOh and 3 small glasses of dry white
Was all good tho
Today:
B: Black coffee, 4 brazils and 3 dates
L: 1 small bread bun with 2 tbsp hummus + 4 raw corn cobs
S: Will probs be hungry later so might end up with something I shouldn't. Will attempt to stick to cup of tea with splash of oat milk, maybe banana/apple/dates if can't help myself.Double potato + courgette stew (will attempt to only take the sweet potato rather than white potato for my serving) with lots of green salad
Love and compassion to all x0 -
Floyd my thoughts are with you, I under went cervical laser treatment about 15 years ago and I remember they used to move my appointments about all the time - frustrating when the doctors must know how a womens body works!
Also hope the grazes heal well.
Had a lovely time at the wedding on Saturday and danced enough to burn off some of the calories, food was lovely and actually don't think I over ate, had lots to drink but also had water ever 2 drinks I must be more sensible than I ever have been
Today:
B: cereal 25g & splash of milk
S: 2 bits of quiche
L: lasange portion & salad
S: crispsveg stir fry.

Much better today, even though I have secondary pains that have appeared in my ribs and shoulders from the fall on the plus side my knee doesn't feel as swollen
My eating has not been so erratic today either, sensible HM stuff with a small treat
B: Apple, pear and yoghurt
L: HM broccoli and Shropshire blue cheese quicheHM chicken Singapore chow mein (don't like pork)
S: Small slice of HM banana bread and a small skinny latte
Probably won't be up to exercising until the weekend but I will make sure I keep moving, even if it is at half pace and with considerably more groaning noises than usual :rotfl::rotfl:0 -
Hello, mind if I join you? As you can tell my the username, I'm skint and slimming (although that username was created when I was posting on the slimming world threads). I'm now just trying to eat healthily and home made, with the added oo-er of being wheat and dairy free - hmm.
Today, well it wasn't great if I'm honest. Tried to make some breakfast bars, and they wouldn't stick together! Ate a fair few crumbs in the process for breakfast.
Lunch: lettuce, tomato, turkey ham and a huge portion of HM potato salad (I'm still struggling to ditch the idea that certain foods are unlimited portion on slimming world..) Still, prob wasn't that bad all in all.
Snack: 3 breakfast bars - which now they have been refrigerated have magically stuck together
Dinner: Hm chilli soup (i'd post the recipe but truth be told it doesn't taste too nice - which is a shame, since i've another 4 big tubs of it in the freezer :rotfl:
Later on (when the dishwasher spits out the tin opener!) I'll have a small tin of mixed bean salad with pesto and lettuce etc.
Exercise today has been nil, I normally try to swim but havign a monster that time of the month, so don't really feel like it, and am trying to get on with work instead.
Tomorrow - gosh, dunno is the honest answer! Let me see:
Breakfast bar (I'll try to stop at one!)
Lunch - oh goodness I'm out all day, so, umm... will cook some wheat free pasta this eve and have that with pesto
Dinner: I'm at work, and they provide meals, so I'll have a gander at theirs to see if I fancy it, if not it'll be a jacket spud. i'll defrost some more of the "oh so delicious" soup so I can have that as a snack when I get in.Nothing tastes as good as riding a horse feels0 -
OK, think I'm back to eating now, especially as last night seems to have involved HM fish n chips......... well I have ten days of being poorly to make up for!!
Today bfast egg with veggie burger
Lunch - veggie sausage in wholemeal rolls (no salad as not been out shopping) Mango yoghurt
Tea - Vegetable casserole
Snack - Banana, plus small (truly very small) slither of chocolate cake.
Sorry you got hurt Floyd - it really shakes you up doesn't it? And welcome on board Skintslimmer - that soup sounds like it'd be destined for the bin in my house! I'm not keen on soup as it is so it has to be really good for me to keep it.

Welcome Skintslimmer, is your soup a thin chilli-con-carne type thing? if so try a extra squeeze of tom puree & a good shake of cayenne pepper and paprika. Or just a good splash of lea & perrins normally doesn't do any harm.
I love soup and will get into making some when the winter sets in, have bought a load of pearl barley and broth mixes so may try something harder than veg soup this year.
Today:
B: cereal 25g & splash of milk
S: last 1/4 of quiche
L: tin of chicken soup and slice of bread
S: crispsminty lamb chops, cabbage & brocc

Hi. Congrats on your weigh loss so far! I have lost 4st since January 2008 when I joined Weight Watchers. Yes it costs me so isn't very money saving but it has helped me.
You're doing the right thing planning meals! It works a treat and saves money on the shopping too0 -
