Think if I manage not to put any more weight on for a couple of weeks I'm going to relax a bit because there is too much of a conflict between losing weight and saving money atm.

It is cheaper to make crumbles with the apples and blackberries from the garden and stretch the meat out by making pies and cobblers and as I seem to have come to a standstill I have lost the will to resist.

Had to make homemade bread this afternoon as we had guests for tea at short notice and also made crumble for afters. So today was:

    B: 1oz cereal
    S: 1oz mueslie
    L: Homemade tomato soup
S: Few spoons of salmon and a chunk of cucumber
D: Sausage Casserole, mashed potato, peas plus half slice of bread and apple and blackberry crumble
    with ice cream
S: 1 large slice bread and butter
    Second purse £101/100
Third purse. £500 Saving for Christmas 2014
    ALREADY BANKED:

  • Hi Everyone - weigh in day today and have lost 2lbs.
Just trying to concentrate on eating as healthy as possible after being ill earlier this week.
Went back to gym today and did cycling, rowing and walking - all at a slow pace though. Still feeling drained.
Breakfast - Orange juice and cereal
Lunch - Cottage Pie (have minced beef left over from yesterday)
Dinner - Baked potato with something

    Have a good day everyone

Would it help to know that whilst I'm writing this I am also eating (and enjoying) a chocolate cookie.......... well the boss bought us all one for tea break and it would be rude to refuse!! In exchange I'll not have my biscuit snack at 3pm.

I've not made it to town yet so have no idea on weight, as my scales are bin bound, and I was hoping to weigh in at Boots or somesuch.
Been taking advantage of sunshine and been doing lots of walks.

    Bfast mushrroms, scrambled egg
Lunch - nut burger with salad
Tea - sweet jacket pots with fish and beans
    Snx - choc cookie
To those who are given much, much is expected

        £2025 in 2025 = £680.60
          Food Budget £180/9.30.

Hi again Eltee12 - well done for pluggin away

EstherH - well done for positive attitude. If I eat any pie I try not to have potatoes as well or just a spoonful of mash (which is too hard to resist!)

Imataloss - Well Done on your 2lbs off!

Sams247 - fair exchange in my eyes!

I haven't been as good as I thought I would be, yesterday took left over lasanga from freezer and some left over rice & peas for lunch (we don't have a mircowave at home so its easier to re-heat for lunch in the works mircowave)
Meant to have stir fry veg only last night, but my mum ended up being home for tea so made bean chilli instead and drank wine.

Today I realised there was a pork chop & pots left over from Monday (wish I'd have seen it yesterday!) so brought that to work for lunch. But we are out tonight so I have no control over the food and I hate leaving other peoples food as I think its rude, so bang goes the calorie count for 2 days!

Also out tomorrow evening and saturday lunch time so will try and eat only fruit inbetween those meals! or it will be bang goes the calorie count for 4 days!!

            Afternoon All,
Welcome Joaniesgirl, good luck with your diet. Have you done Atkins before or was it recommended to you? I've never wanted to cut all my carbs out as I love pasta too much :o but well done you for biting the bullet and clearing the cupboards out.

Hi all and thanks for the welcome :D

mlz1413 in answer to your question it was recommended to me by a friend. She didn't lose that much weight but looked a lot more leaner. I have been slowly cutting out carbs for the last year which is why I think I have maintained the same weight for a while but haven't made a real concerted effort until now :o

I had been pretty good since the last time I wrote on here even though I had some alcohol over the weekend but today I gave into my sugar craving and although I ate healthy up until this afternoon so far I've had a big fat chocolate finger biscuit thing, a piece of fudge and a mini chocolate brownie  :o

I'm so angry with myself! I can't believe that I can't control myself enough not to eat stuff like that ARRGGGHHHHHH And this is why I fail doing Atkins :rotfl:I could happily never eat bread, pasta, rice or potatoes again but you stick something with chocolate or sugar in it and BAM I will surely shovel it into my mouth :(

            Anyways intake so far:

B - Homemade protein shake - soya milk, 2 eggs and protein powder

S - slice of omlette and 3 small plums

L - Roast chicken and french beans with onions and tomatoes and some strawberries

S - 2 teaspoons of peanut butter (which I was hoping would stave of sugar craving but didn't)

Chocolate biscuit, mini brownie and piece of fudge

D - not sure as going to my mum's for dinner. She knows the rules so will be meat and some veg.

Also :rotfl:off to the pub tonight but will be on the diet coke or water. I want to get into work early tomorrow because its Friday and can then leave early - great incentives to lay off the alcohol ;)

I also need to fit some exercise in somewhere

Hope the rest of you have had a better day! :D

Well son gave me a pep talk today and told me to; "Stop weighing myself because it was 'messing with my head'. Stick to the healthy eating because I look better for it and keep going". So I'm maybe a bit more motivated. Finished off the cobbler from Tuesday as had people round yesterday so had to have something else. Today has been:

            B: 1oz minibix
            S: Apple and orange
            L: Homemade veg soup
S: Very thin slice of low fat gingercake with tiny amount of peanut butter
D: Chicken cobbler with mash potato and peas
            S: More veg soup

Last night wasn't bad on the food front so apart for the wine consumed I think I did OK.
Tonight has turned from meze to indian so will try and eat veggie options to keep calories down.

                    Today:
B: bacon sandwich, 2 bread, spread, 2 rashers
                    L: yogurt, banana and apple
                    S: apple & choc drink
D: meal out with a glass or bottle of wine :)

Hope you all have a great weekend and enjoy your exercise ;)

Yes, took some getting used to taking advise from him, after all, i've been dieting all my adult life, on and off and could quote the number of calories in any given thing at one time. But, actually, he is very good at what he does and I have learned some things by listening to him.
