    Good morning all

sams247 - I agree about not wanting an audience. I always sneak over to the gym scales when there`s no one around.
Please give your local gym a try. I felt the same way as you when I started going nearly 6 years ago after I was referred by my doctor.
There are all sorts of people that go and fortunately not all lycra clad and muscle bound.
mlz1423 - great idea about the scales.
EstherH - Have you cut too much out of your diet? It could be that you are craving foods that your body needs. Eating 5 or 6 small meals a day is a good thing. Our sports nutritionist at the gym says that it is the best way to stabilise your glucose levels. I have impaired glucose tolerance so this is an important thing for me.
angeltreats - welcome to the thread. I`m new here too so keep on posting.

Yesterday - unfortunately didn`t feel like exercising again. Hoping to go for a walk later if it stays dry.
Foodwise - stayed within my calorie allowance even though we went out for a carvery last night.
    Have a good day everyone.

sams247 I had this, was happily losing 1lb a month then suddenly I weigh 3 stone (according to the scales)?!? buy new scales and I'm 1/2 a stone heavier than I thought I was - very disillusioning.

Oh it's awful to think you're ahead and then some machine tells you you're not! So disheartening.

Today I am in a can't be bothered mood, I shall blame the weather, but money is tight and I have too many things to do, so my main exercise today will be moaning

Bfast HM tomato bread with slices of brie on top
    Lunch - veggie wraps
Tea - not decided but probably fish fingers, mash and veg
SN - yoghurt and two spiced oat biscuits
To those who are given much, much is expected

Welcome Angletreats - must be hard working with food all day and then being on a diet - best of will power to you.

Hello Taplady - it's been ages!

I didn't do bad yesterday, didn't eat my yogurt and was then starving when I got home and I still had to walk doggie. Ate handful of grapes and a fig which kept me going until dinner which swapped to fish fingers and veg as the lamb hadn't defrosted!

            Today:
B: 1 slice toast, spread and pate (260 cals)
            S: yogurt (100 cals)
L: tuna mayo on brown bread (450 ish cals)
            S: banana
            D: jacket spud and coleslaw (550 )

            Weigh in tomorrow :undecided

Hi guys, thanks for the welcome :)

I went to WW last night and discovered that my scales at home are actually weighing almost two stone heavy!! And depending on what part of the floor you put them on, that can go down to 'only' one stone heavy. I think it's time they went in the bin. So instead of the three and a half stone I thought I'd put on, I have actually put on about two stone. Bad, but not as bad as I thought.

            So far today I've had:

B: Porridge, skimmed milk & water, wee bit of golden syrup
L: Scrambled eggs, toast, raisin & honey flapjack from my WW recipe book
D: will be some leftover turkey mince chilli

I have also baked some chocolate orange brownies and some sesame and honey flapjacks because DH was requesting snacks to bring to work and I'm not baking for him and for me separately!

Got to work this morning only to find that on my day off yesterday, our pastry chef had made some chocolate peanut butter squares from Nigella's Domestic Goddess... how I managed to resist I don't know.

Anyway good luck to everyone today, and to MLZ1413 for your weigh in tomorrow :)

            Hi all,

Not a particularly well balanced meal plan today but I have worked myself into the ground doing heavy digging in the garden and blitzing the house for a combined total of 6 hours so it should make up for it :)

B: Nothing, went straight outside to start digging before the rain came

L: Wholemeal sandwich with cheddar and HM chutney

            D: Vegetable singapore noodles

S: Nothing else, lots of diet coke which I should try and knock on the head a bit

Have a good week all :)
          4. Good morning
Made my soup yesterday and had two big bowls. Very yummy. Had bulger salad and beans for dinner used up lots of odds and ends so fridge now looking bare. Trying to put off big shop until tomorrow. Still haven't used up the melon, having 2 kiwi and yog for bfast then cereal. Lunch watercress soup. Diner jacket spud and whatever else is left plus beans, - could make some hummous. Can't walk again today but should be swimming tonight. Friend has given me a large bag of windfall apples, what can I make that is low fat/sugar?

How are you finding the Tai Chi? It is one of the classes at our gym and I have been thinking of trying it.

You must be so pleased that your scales were out. Good luck with your WW journey.
The things that you are baking sound lovely. I have a few WW cookery books so must see if there are any recipes I can try.
