Morning from a very wet Birmingham.
Not a very good day calorie wise yesterday. Think I eat most of todays allowance too!
No exercise yesterday either.
Still todays another day. No gym this morning, I used the time to do all of the ironing that has been hanging around for a few weeks. That will count towards my activity levels
Have a good day everyone0 -
I've lost a 1lb - hooray! although have been naughty today already
choc donut for colleagues birthday.
Would love to shift another 3lbs to bring me down to 10 stone, but this year seems to have been against me (was 10' 4 in Jan!) and this month is the same; have a hen night and a birthday this weekend. Hey ho keep plugging away - apart from a wedding in Sept I shouldn't have any excusesin Sep & Oct.
Today:
B: 2 thin (ish) slices of cheese & onion bread with thin layer of buttery (500 cals!)
S: donut (350 ish)
L: sandwich not sure what yet (350/400 )
S: banana (100)small chicken fillet and roasted veggies (no pots!) (500 ish)
Ended up with cheese & pickle sandwich with crisps and fizzy drink - I'm blaming the weather as I feel cold!0 -
Hello all, I apologise for not being on here for a while - used to join in the chatter while it was quiet at work - but in a new job now and cant come on line very often.
I find my scales at home were about 1/2 stone out compared to w/watchers ones (but the ones at home showed less!!! - not fair!!!) Been doing well - 3 1/2 stone loss so far - when I last updated my signature showed I'd lost 1 stone so shows its been a while - so apologies all round!!2010 has got to be better than the last two years!! :rotfl:
Weight loss to date: 3 Stone & 5lbs!! Weight loss this week: 2 lbs !!:j0 -
Imataloss, I think that maybe yes I have cut to much out and I should be having some more protein. I have been eating lots of fruit, and vegatable soup but not a lot of protein. My sons a personal trainer and sports nutritionist at a gym and he tells me sometimes to get more to eat. Problem is that I have M.E. and can't exercise and he is dealing with people who are doing loads of exercise so I tend to be scared of over eating by following his advise but I have been doing the six times a day pattern which at first I didn't think would work but it did until last couple of weeks. Also I have put a few pounds back on. Could be time of the month and the weather is really demotivating. But thanks, you have made me think about making sure I have more protein during the day.Second purse £101/100

Good morning
V. tired and achy today, swam 50 lenghts in an hour. I don't care what the doc says I think that's good. My face was glowing but couldn't tell if I got all sweaty for obvious reasons.
Food was okish. So hungry when I get home from work, as I only work 4 hours I don't get a lunch break but I'm working over the lunch period so I get home 3ish and I'm ravenous. Had a sarnie packed with watercress - was going to make soup but couldn't wait, then another sarnie, then another. Had two small choc biscs at a meeting. Went shopping and really wanted to buy sweets or crisps but resisted.
Hope everyone has a good day. Still looking for ways to use up a carrier of apples.WL 11 st 5lb as at 050109. 160209 11st 2lb

Good or bad, we are all still trying, which is a huge plus. Many were the times that if I ate one 'bad' thing I'd totally give up, saying 'it wasn't worth it now', something I'm sure many of us have done. Now look at us all go, we may have the odd indulgence (or two) but we keep going, we keep trying. So well gone us.
Bfast - Veggie nut burger, scrambled egg
Lunch - Cheese bap with tomato, plus peach fat free yoghurt
Tea - Vegetable and sweet potato bake
Sn - banana
Last night did half hour workout

Morning all
Not been here for ages..and it shows...weighed in yesterday morning...and have put on 8 pounds in the past month
Considering I have sooo much to lose (8 to 9 stone)...not good news. I have put on 10 pounds in total during 2010 so far (lost 3 stone last year, mainly due to illness), so must get myself in order.
Right, off to change DS2's gym membership over to me as he is now going to the one at College (which will be £75 for the whole year for him - bargain!!). My physio will be drawing up the exercise programme, and will be keeping an eye on me, so hopefully I will stick to it. I have no excuse for not using it...it's in our village, 10 minutes walk away!!!
Have a good day...might just get the pedometer on and get walking after a stint in the garden.
Food for today:
B: Porridge made with soya milk, water & sultanas + OJ
S: mini bounty bar - last one, so no more temptations!
L: Crackerbread spread with low fat cream cheese (4% fat) and sliced tomatoes from garden; Apple
S: Slice fat-free fruit loaf
T: Dry-roast chicken, potatoes & veg, nectarine
S: SF jelly and small amount of 0% fat yog
At least that is the plan!!

Well done sams247, not stopping trying is brilliant.
procrastinator - homemade apple sauce is lovely, peel apple and grate down to core, grate equal amount of onion and saute in spread or buttery product. Lovely with pork.
Or roll out pastry, spread saugagemeat thickly over pastry, spread apple sauce over s/meat and then roll up like a swiss roll and bake for 30 mins on meduim oven (180 degrees) lovely hot with baked beans or cold for snacks.
I ended up eating cheese late last night, think I must have got low on protein as I really craved the stuff. So will up the egg content over the weekend.
Today:
B: single pack of cereal and dash of milk (180 cals)
L: oxtail soup with 2 thin slices of cheese & onion bread (500 cals)think its chinese tonight, so must try and stick to meat&veg and not have lots of rice!
Hope everyone has a lovely bank holiday weekend.0 -
I was hoping to find a weight watchers expert! Why are peeled prawns 1 point for 60g and king prawns 1/2 for 64g.
Is this information correct? I don't understand why you can have double the amount of king prawns to normal prawns?
I'm not an expert, although I certainly should be after being on ww on and off for so many years (it works, but only while I'm actively points counting!), but I can only imagine that this is due to King Prawns normally being served with heads and tails still on, reducing the amount of the serving you actually eat.
However, as the online planner shows 120g of King Prawns at 1.5pts and 120g of peeled prawns at 2pts, unless you're having them day in, day out, or masses and masses of them at one sitting (not wise, high cholesterol) then I would relax over it. WW do build in a bit of a buffer to allow for minor under or over estimating and half a point's not going to do too much damage. If you're that concerned, shell the king prawns and then weigh them as if they are peeled prawns.0 -
Hi all
I am supposed to be working but got caught up reading this thread and couldn't wait to join...if you don't mind? I haven't read all of it or the previous parts but since I'm not going to be doing that much this weekend I'll make sure I catch up with it all.
I have lurked for quite some time but always been a bit to nervous to register and comment but I realised a couple of days ago that I really have to lose some weight and could really do with some support.
A bit about me then.....
I'm 33 and weigh 16.2 stones (don't do kilos). I'm not proud of it and not being funny but I think I must have been in denial all this time because it never really bothered me until now. I went to a party 2 months ago which was recorded for prosperity and it was almost like my blinkers had fallen off when I watched it back only a few days ago. I can't believe I have allowed myself to get this big
I now have to lose weight because I have realised that I have been avoiding certain situations the last month or so though strangely enough I have lost 9lbs in the last 2 months. Go figure!
I am doing a version of the Atkins so no bread, pasta, rice or potatoes or sugars. It’s the sugar thats my downfall and don’t seem to miss the rest. I have cleared my cupboards out (again) and from tomorrow will get back on the exercise wagon. My diet has been good yesterday and today and so far today….
B - Homemade protein shake containing 2 raw eggs, protein powder and soya milk
S - 2 teaspoons of peanut butter
L - Shredded roast chicken with homemade coleslaw (red & white cabbage, carrot, onion, mayo, lemon juice and mustard) and a handful of strawberries (I have big hands!)
S - Cheese with 2 apricots
D - Not sure about but will contain some protein/veg and for afters sugar free jelly with a bit of cream
Sorry I have gone on a bit haven’t I?! but will keep you posted. Hope everyone has had a good and temptation free day!0
