Ah well, my weekend was going so well...... right up until the hot chocolate brownie at a friends.

I am very frustrated with my scales. Stood on them - lost half a stone, hurrah. Went to show OH, then scales said I had gained 3lb. Tried again, lost 3lb. So annoying. Now I have no idea what I weigh. Time for new scales, maybe I'll go digital.

    Bfast - mini shredded wheat
Lunch - Nut burger with salad plus apricot yoghurt
Tea - Steamed salmon with fresh veg and a little mash
    Sn 2 oat biscuits

Exercise - half an hour workout in front of taped TV program (takes my mind off of it and I can do more)
To those who are given much, much is expected

        £2025 in 2025 = £680.60
          Food Budget £180/9.30.

I was hoping to find a weight watchers expert! Why are peeled prawns 1 point for 60g and king prawns 1/2 for 64g.

Is this information correct? I don't understand why you can have double the amount of king prawns to normal prawns?

            Mornimg All,

procrastinator - I don't think the gym referals were the same budget as the free swimming, Sept is only days aways so why not book to see normal doctor and discuss your options? (PS I think 50 lenghts in any amount of time is brilliant!)

            Hi
Thanks, yes this is my plan, try to lose at least some weight and up the exercise then speak to usual doc in Sept.

I watched The Hospital on chanel 4 last night - liver disease and fatty liver. I didn't sleep well and how a doc can just make a quick prognosis like that and offer no more is beyond me. I want to know for sure now. I really admired the 14 year old boy who had fatty liver through diet and had turned it around. At the end when all the binge drinkers were saying they deserved a new liver or would only stop when it was too late and thought the NHS should provide without them changing their life styles he was so different. He agreed it was up to him to be responsible for his own health. I bet his mum was so proud.
If he can do it then I MUST.

            Good morning everyone

flloyd - Well done on the bike ride. I`m sure this burnt lots of calories.
sazzy 6 - I think it`s because king prawns include the shell.
sams 247 - I gave up on my own scales years ago. I now weigh in at the gym on the digital scales. Our local Boots also has them could you do a weekly weigh in there?
mlz1413 - Thanks for the suggestions. Decided on chicken, rice and curry sauce.
Also don`t worry too much about last weekend. That`s gone just concentrate on eating properly this week. Drink lots of water and get a little exercise. You may be surprised when you get on the scales.

Food wise didn`t do too badly yesterday but didn`t feel up to doing any exercise yesterday. Will hopefully do better today.

Hope you all have a good day.

Our Boots has little more than a shelf and a counter, so maybe when I get inot the town I'll have a look-see. Also I dont want an audience - this is a weigh in not a show! I may be testing out the local gym, they have a deal where you can try and test out for £5 so it#s worth a go. But I know what I'm like and if I see swathes of lycra and muscles posing everywhere I'll be out of the door.

Bfast - back to mini shredded wheat
Lunch - veggie wraps with fat free yoghurt
Tea - Fish with veggie bake
            SNx fresh mango (love it)

And its sit ups for me again tonight.

sams247 I had this, was happily losing 1lb a month then suddenly I weigh 3 stone (according to the scales)?!? buy new scales and I'm 1/2 a stone heavier than I thought I was - very disillusioning.

I went to local gym paid a £1 in a machine that does a print out so I knew my real weight. Then found a spot in bathroom that I can put scales down and always choose the same spot and weighed myself again - scales say the same as print out, hence as along as I use this spot I'm sure my scales are right.

                    Imataloss - thank you

                    Today (continuing the drastic measures)
B: crust of toast with spread and 1/2 small tin of beans (300 cals)
                    L: 1 ltr milk shake (750 cals)
                    S: yogurt (100 cals)
                    D: lamb chop & veg (450 cals)

exercise remains 2 x 30 mins dog walking a day.
Am struggling with knees aching at the mo so only other exercise is yoga.

Hi, not had a good weekend really and seem to have put on weight again but don't think it was that bad a weekend that this should have happened so not happy. We had guests for dinner sat and sun so made huge apple and blackberry crumbles from fruit in garden. Find saving money involves fattening food lol!

I have just weighed myself and I've managed to put on 3 1/2 stone in a year!! Can't quite believe it, although I know exactly how it happened - a combination of moving to a new area where I am very unhappy (hence lots of comfort eating) and spending about six months driving for up to 3 hours a day which tired me out so much that I couldn't muster up any energy to do any exercise. I'm working a lot closer to home now but as I'm a chef, I work all sorts of funny hours and it can be hard to keep to a routine and eat properly at decent times.

I'm joining weightwatchers tonight, as I know it works for me because I did it before when I put on a bit of weight. I know this thread isn't for slimming clubs but I do cook everything from scratch and will have to start adapting a lot of my recipes to reduce fat, sugar etc so I kind of think I fit in better on the OS thread than the other ones.

I'm so glad I finally managed to talk myself into getting onto the scales and finding out how much damage I've done... talk about shock to the system :(

Hi angeltreats, welcome to the thread and hope we can help.

Well todays been okay so far, I've been good but I'm hungry now and have noticed this for the last week or two, where as before the 6times a day eating kept me from getting hungry. I've started craving comfort foods. Anyway so far today I've had:

                    B: loz mini weetabix
S: Necterine and melon with few spoons yoghurt
L: Homemade mushroom and potato soup
                    S: More soup
D: Lamb in onion gravy with carrots, peas and mashed potato

Will have another ounce of mini weetabix now and see if that stems off the hunger.

                    Esther

                  5. Hello
Big fat fail for yesterday. DF came over for chat and brough krispy creme doughnuts, why couldn't I have told her about the docs before and not after eating it? Oh well none left now as kids and oh finished them off. Rest of the meals were ok. diner was epicure 3 bean salad with mixed salad, surprisingly filling.
Have kiwi fruit and melon to eat up today, bought reduced price so don't think they'll last long. Maybe put some veg in the slow cooker to turn into soup when I get in as it looks miserable weatherwise.
Walked to and from work y.day but don't think I can today heavy rain forecast.
