Taka if you're still willing to do some spreadsheet admin today that would really help.
I'm ready and willing but a bit confused!
(a) Which spreadsheet do you want filled with the nutritional info?
(b) Is the info you want entered in this thread or on recipecal somewhere?
I had the devil of a time finding cornmeal today. It seems neither MrM nor MrS near me sell it at all. I finally found some in the international aisle in MrT. I now have 1.5kg of it as that was the only size they had! It was 83p/1.5kg (so cheaper than MrA) and the brand was Natco.
I tried to find veggie italian hard cheese today too - this is the one I buy (in MrS). It was £2.50 for 200g. I couldn't find any veggie equivalent in MrM at all and MrT appears to have stopped stocking the same one so no veggie hard cheese equivalent there either. Looking at mysupermarket this may be a veggie equivalent from MrA as there is a green V on the label but I don't have an Asda close enough to check for sure.

I bought a stick blender for £3.96 from Mr T. If you only want to blend cold stuff I suppose it might be OK, but I used mine for soup the first time it was out and erm, the little place under the blade warped and made a hidey hole for old food that couldn't be cleaned out, though I suspected it got whizzed out with the next lot of stuff
Thanks for that.
I am thinking that your comment lends weight to my feeling that I could maybe specify on Shirley/Bob's kitlist that a stick blender MIGHT be a possible substitute for a food processor - PROVIDED that its one with a particularly powerful motor (ie over 500 of whatever-it-is that its measured in).
I dont know - I just have these reservations about stick blenders. Mine went in the bin pretty darn promptly after buying it:( - and some money down the drain with it. I just have this vision of food whizzing all over the kitchen as well - whereas, with a liquidizer/food processor one can keep a hand on the lid and that doesnt happen.0 -

Pleased to be of assistance.
I think you will find that homity pie is pretty "standard" in vegetarian cafes throughout the country - so worth checking out your nearest one for it...Its a "basic" (along with vegetarian lasagne).
Anyways....hope your homebaking of them will be nice.:)0 -

ahem, so back to spreadsheet. OK so it's here
task one would be to input calories, protein, and to transfer over my latest calcium figures from this other source...
Hang on I'll just get the other one while you look at that...

hmmm... suet pie was not a great success - before you apologise weezel we'll eat what emerged happily, the pastry and the filling are both tasty, just not in a pie shape at all.
The pastry wouldn't stay together when I was making it if you remember, and it hasn't seemed to gain any cohesion while cooking. It's almost shortbread dough, but cooked.
I don't know if I should have greased the inside of the basin, or maybe used GPpaper?
Very tasty, just have to make something else for the MIL to eat quick before she leaves for whist - micro rice and beef stroganoff (sp?) it is *she says while glancing at the can't be bothered shelf in the pantry*Almost everything will work again if you unplug it for a few minutes, including you. It's amazing how those with a can-do attitude and willingness to 'pitch in and work' get all the luck, isn't it?
