potty a tea survey would be great... If you have time, I know the other surveys are proving a terrible headache and you've got lots of work on at horrid hours!

But if you did, I basically need it to capture: How many cups a day?

Using how many bags a day

using how much milk per cup in ml

do they take sugar? how many

and also for other members of the family....

    Ta very xxx

:D ok a summary of where we are:

I really think the Bob and Shirley planner is ready to try out in the next few days.

Taka if you're still willing to do some spreadsheet admin today that would really help.

Lesley, do you have a 20-30 min spreadsheet slot at all as well today-sorry to be cheeky!

this would mean the planner being tried without a couple of the recipes having had a test, which would be a shame though :(

spanish omelette, the frugalised pasta alfredo (howlin can I pick your brains about that one, I have aslight stock issue) and a tomatoey pasta dish with bacon all need at least one tester.

I also need some bread testers :)

Also we really do need to know about tea, it sounds daft, but milk is so expensive that the difference between 6 cuppas with a tablespoon each vs 5 cuppas with a dessertspoon each can make a huge difference to what the family can eat in the month in their meals!

Sorry to be dishing out the tasks to you all.

I am in your debt lovely people.

And bob and shirley are in ours! (and barclaycard, amex, capital one, egg :rotfl:)

weezl, I need to bake bread in the next couple of days - whatcha thinkin'? I've got oats to hand if that's where we're going. Can't be worse than the last batch, proving your recipe isn't "fool proof" after all :p:p (DH doesn't mind, but unfortunately means he has to eat double the sandwiches as the pieces are so small!)

did it not rise a cm above the loaf pans? :o eep:eek:. Is it the recipe on the blog or have I written it somewhere else? I must look at the yeast content....

Oh dear, thanks for telling me! x

Actually that's a good point- people need to know that NOT all of the recipes on the blog are for B and S, they are older ones from the 50p days.....

Shall I delete them... bit reluctant to do that...

    Erm, any advice folks?

weezl, I just used one I had bookmarked...think it's from the 50p days. But I've done it fine in the past, so prolly just didn't have warm enough kitchen or something. Might throw more yeast in next time as I've started doing 50/50 wholemeal/white and that usually doesn't rise as much in my experience.
