and what I didn't
Candidate numbers and scores on form but in my own abbreviated manner!0 -
We had a bit of a panic after returning from completing transfer form. I noticed later that Carrickfergus Grammar required that AQE score together with the candidate number must go in section C of transfer form.
We had to get primary head to write in the candidate number before he sent it in. Obviously AQE score letter is attached also - So don't think there would have been a problem anyway.
Our primary head actually listed all our choices in Section C and below each choice wrote down the criteria that applied to our daughter relevent to that School. I assume this was standard procedure and correct?0 -
Yes, sounds fine.
Have to admit to feeling very rushed in filling in both forms (in and out in 15 mins for 2 kids), but fingers crossed will be grand - will just feel like a muppet parent who can't read instructions - so not like me - think the pressure just got to us all!!!0 -
hi all is there anyone on this forum whose children got under 100 ? people seem to be worried about scores of 118 etc when really they should not be!! The murky waters of scores below 100 ie 97 is what im having a breakdown about! anyone else out there or just me?0

Grahamjo30, I'm sure your form will be fine, but ring Regent and explain, as long as the score has been written down surely it doesnt matter if it's in brackets or not. It's peace of mind for you at the end of the day.0

OMG WHAT??????? I don't know anything about this, and our 2nd choice is carrickfergus!!! Our primary principle actually filled the form in. He got us to check it over and he had actually forgot to tick the box that said our child is the eldest in family. I'm pretty sure he didn't write candidate no. OMG I'm totally freaking out now!!!!0 -

Edith, for example our neighbours son got 95 and they and we are very confident he will get his first choice which is Larne Grammar as they have accepted lower marks previous years. 97 I would say is either a top B2 or low B1 depending on what grammar school principle you speak to.0

beccasmum, you're right @ the table in examswot, but look at the example of another standardised table:-elevenplus.co.uk/standardised scores- you'll have to www it!
:)Other sites (testsand exams.qcda.gov.uk 2008 KS2 english results) suggest a different range.
Is there at least one other parent out there who is simply questioning did AQE pilot this test and if not how have they age adjusted?:)
Remember age adjustment is applied to all pupils and can have an influence on older and younger pupils.0
