  • Have been following with interest! Any ideas on whether 88 will get into Campbell?
  • Have been following with interest! Any ideas on whether 88 will get into Campbell?

Last year Campbell took right up to a D grade and actually accepted more D grade students than A students so I would imagine with a grade of 88 there should be absolutely no problem in getting in there
  • Campbell have 140 places. The first 98 are in rank order and then they are creating a pool of 63 candidates for the remaing 42 places. They are using criteria such as their prep school, brothers at school, feeder primaries etc for this.
  • hi everyone, my daughter got 94 and we put her down for a local grammar that she really wants to go to. i live in newtownards and am concerned she hsnt got a high enough mark to get in but its a waiting game now i suppose:)

no glenlola- she wouldnt have a chance for regent altho some of her friends have chosen regent as their 1st choice but they all got marks over 105. i heard only 1000 from top 2 bands passed instead of 1400 so that might help lower bands:)

    Hi All

Been watching this for a week or so and thought it was time I joined in - thanks to everyone who has posted, it is great to know we are not alone in this.. Like the rest of you, am confused about where we stand. But did want to make one point that I haven't seen so far. As important as the school our kids end up in is, we should all remember that - in terms of life opportunites - the thing that is at least as, and probably more, important as quality of school is quality of parents. Based on what I have read here, the kids of parents on this site are in a very good place. I have a friend who is headmaster of a primary school in Belfast and he says biggest challenge he faces in terms of making progress with pupils is getting parents to care - not a problem here. No doubt some of us (but lets hope very few!) face disapointment on 29 May, but all on this site will make the best of that, and continue to support our kids through whatever lies ahead. And we - and more importantly our kids - will get through this.

    Good luck everyone.
